Three guys milling behind the counter began to question me about the necessity of the battery/alternator check I was there for (!?). One gentleman rolled his eyes. I felt as if I was a bother to them being there. Strange. I expected someone to yell "Smile, you're on Candid Camera." I walked out, shaking my head, thinking did this really happen. Maybe behavior was caused by inhaling fumes from parts solvent. I don't know. But this camper will not darken their doorway again.

It was frustrating and exhausting dealing with salesmen (some pleasant/some not-so-pleasant) and traveling out of town several times to accomplish a purchase. We finally decided on a car we looked at a couple weeks prior in Marshall (90 minutes away). The purchase ended up a "no-go" so we decided to look at one last dealership which was Lockwood Motors before leaving town. We were fortunate to to have John Afdem for our salesman. He greeted us with a continuous smile, was very helpful, showed a high level of interest in helping us accomplish our goal, easy to talk to and wasn't "pushy". We purchased the cutest vehicle from John and we feel very lucky that we had him as our salesman. We ended our long search on a very pleasant note. Thank you John! Forgot a very important thing: My daughter has an illness that prevented us from picking up her car ASAP...so John graciously offered to have her car delivered...90 miles away. I asked them for advice on a vehicle and they said they were sure they could fix it then it sat there for months because I said it wasn't a huge rush.. learned my lesson there. Then I called multiple times asking and they said they didn't have time until they finally looked at it replaced the starter that I had a warranty on and could have replaced for free and then wanted to charge me over 600 bucks with no explanation besides they can't fix it. I asked when they called me for an explanation of what was wrong and why it was so much to not fix it and they fought me on that then I told them that day my good friend died I really didn't want to be dealing with this that day and apparently that made me "rude" so they charged me an extra 200 dollars to hold my van there when they took months to even look at it. The lady I spoke to was rude from the moment I answered the phone. I am in customer service all day every day and would not have a job if I talked to people how she does. They also boxed the van in so I couldn't even get to it to tow it and continued charging me.
