I figured no biggie, they're probably just busy. I called back, the guy yells "Hello??" in my ear as I'm saying I wanted to place an order for pickup, then he tells me to hang on a minute. I can hear laughing & talking in the background, then he asks for my phone # & takes my order. He says it'd be ready in 20-25 minutes & would come to $23-something.... We waited 25 minutes, then drove up to their drive thru to pick it up. The lady asks what name it was under, but they didn't ask for a name over the phone, so she asks for the last 4 of the phone #. After about 3-4 minutes of pretending to look, she says they don't have our order. Needless to say, McDonald's ended up being pretty good for dinner, .

Giovanni's employees often overdo the sauces on pizzas, the recipe of their crust are very rough, hardly eatable and their choice of cheeses to serve on their pizzas are worst as I almost couldn't find any difference in between of their cheese and rubber. However they do have something on their menu that I somewhat find the pleasure to eat, although they aren't definitely the best out there and that would be their pizza turnovers. I would grade their pizza turnover an C- at best but it is eatable, only if you would at least eat once every month otherwise you can quickly get burnt out of their pizza turnovers.

We ordered the large cheese bread as well. We had no idea it would be as big as the pizza! And just as awesome. It comes with cups of a very tasty marinara. A lot of pizza places have salads that they make ahead of time, and they taste like it. Hobert's chef salad was made fresh, and loaded with a good variety of veggies and deli meat. As much as all four of us enjoyed the pizza and bread, it's possible that my son's Philly cheesesteak was even tastier... just perfection on a bun. All the employees are helpful and friendly, and we've been here several times over the last few years. It's not like we got lucky and got good service one time. It's consistent. Sometimes, even with a great meal, I feel buyer's remorse when I get the bill. No such feelings leaving Hobert's. All the food I mentioned fed our family of four, and we packed about a quarter of it home for leftovers. Hobert's is our go-to when we come to Prestonsburg. I can't recommend them enough.
