Excellent tasty food. Beef burger, elk burger, chips, fries and the nachos were delicious! Joe is a top notch server, very friendly.

Tartar sauce is homemade, more mayonnaise forward, very little pickle. I tasted enough to try it. Didn't eat the coleslaw as I just don't like southern style slaw (yes, I'm from the south). And the chowder with the jalapeno was delicious! I will recommend this place to everyone traveling to this area. I love the restaurant. It's in a trailer with a covered porch. You can dine inside or out, plenty of tables in the field next to the restaurant. Signs on the wall are eclectic and fun to read.

It was plenty busy for being located on top of a mountain a few miles outside of town. But it was prime leaf peeping time, so I guess there were still a lot of tourists. Unfortunately due to this set up, they are only open from spring until fall (which in the Upper Peninsula might be kind of short!) You order through one window and wait for your number to be called and pick it up at different window. Many types of fish to choose from and it's prepared pretty quick. My wife and I got the same thing, Cod. Which was pretty good, but in hindsight, one of use should have gotten the Whitefish (local) so we could have tried it. Next time? Fries (chips) were good too. Very interesting place. Worth a try!

This is not an overly large restaurant, so if you want to really get a great seat inside or out, going during non-peak hours! There is a wrap around pouch and this is dining right on the water! Everything was clean and they use pottery dishes that were made specially for them! Super cute! Service: Friendly and quick! This is a very LGBTQ+ friendly spot! Food: We started with an IPA that my boyfriend said was great! I got their house made maple cream soda. It was very light in flavor, so I wouldn't get that again. We started with the Trout chowder and holy yum!!! The flavor was so tasty! It had large pieces of fish and veggies! Definitely worth trying! We both got the fish and chips with coleslaw. It was super tasty! The fish was fresh and had a crunchy exterior! Their tartar sauce has a yummy dill flavor! I would buy a bottle if you could! To end we had the Kladdkaka! THIS IS NOT TO BE MISSED! It was rich and decadent! I really wish they served it with real whipped cream because it deserves it! If you are anywhere near this area, stop in!!

There's a small building for coffee/brunch, and a larger building with an outdoor covered patio for lunch/dinner. Bloody Mary's were delicious! The menu is very small, but all of us raved about our meals. Our group enjoyed breakfast burritos as well as eggs Benedict. I was able to order the breakfast burrito vegetarian which was appreciated. Also, their breakfast potatoes are FAB 10/10 cooked to perfection. The best part about our visit was the service. We were promptly greeted, and they went above and beyond to accommodate my toddler (making sure she had a high chair, offering milk and applesauce, etc). The waitress and chef were so warm and welcoming we will definitely be back!

Way way overcooked, incredibly dry. And be ready - cash only. Claim they can't get a signal for credit cards yet they offered WiFi. I just hate when the first time you find out it's cash only is when they hand you $75 bill. Nowhere does it say cash only - not on the door, not on the menu, not on the wall, nowhere. If you're cash only, mention it before people order. Sadly we won't return.

I came here for a fish fry just after Memorial Day and the outdoor seating weather was perfect for my pup. The patio overlooks Lake Superior, with a few buildings across the street blocking a bit of the view. It's a nice downtown spot so there are plenty of people out and about walking by the patio. I typically prefer a traditional Old Fashioned, but when in super northern Wisconsin, do as they do. I got a Wisconsin Old Fashioned and it was great. I even ordered a second one! The veggie dumpling soup was beyond my expectations -- I would have just eaten a bunch of bowls of that all night if I hadn't been set on fish fry. I got the Lake Superior Whitefish fry (Lake Superior was right across the street, how could I not?), which was just ok. The sides were great - french fries and green beans are a Wisconsin match made in heaven. The fish was alright, a bit fishier than I'm used to but that just might be a Lake Superior whitefish thing? Still, I found about 6 bones in the fish fry and I've never had that issue at a restaurant fish fry before. I usually give a few bites to my dog but was nervous on this one. So, overall a great experience and a fun place to stop by. I'd recommend checking them out.

I wish I remembered the name of our server because she was so attentive while practically running the front of house by herself, I wish I could give her a specific shout out. The restaurant itself is a classic small town tavern with the dark wood bar, comfy booths, and a gorgeous painted tin ceiling. The food was also pretty good - the cheese curds are a MUST get. The rest of the food was slightly too salty and the fish was just a tad dry but the tartar sauce and coleslaw were both to die for and the fries were fantastic. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would definitely go back.
