Each time we spoke with anyone affiliated with Dr. Santavicca's office, they were kind, caring and informative. We had a complete psychological evaluation conducted through this office. Having administered psychometric evaluations previously, I found that the exam results were exhaustive and thorough. When I say, that my life was saved by the staff of Rockdale Psychiatrics, is not hyperbole. Dr. Paulsen has and continues to be ray of sunshine in the darkest of days. She is a skilled professional whose intellect and integrity astounds me. Having "book smarts" is great but what makes Dr. Paulsen stand out is that she is genuinely intuitive and compassionate. I am thankful that she is in my world, no....in our world. If you need help and prepared to do the work (and trust me...it's not always easy), Dr. Paulsen is 100% the practitioner you need to see. I have had my moments that I had to wait. However, it's worth the wait. Would you rather have someone take the time to build a relationship with you or someone that writes you prescriptions and you are out the door? Was scheduled to come in and after more than 3 weeks of waiting for my appointment, a 40 minute drive, I attest my appointment only to be told that they no longer accept my insurance. Their excuse, "we emailed you on 08/13 to advice that we were no longer in network." No accountability whatsoever. Email never got to me because they can't even spell basic words. Def disappointed at this "professional" establishment, their lack of professionalism, carelessness, and failure to communicate with patients!

This practice is very unprofessional and raised tons of eyebrows…read more the nurse practitioner, Selma makes it clear that she can not prescribe certain medications because she is not a doctor but when you ask to speak to a doctor she denies you Access to the doctor. this practice is for medication management NOT diagnosis but they still play the part as if they are the ones who diagnosed you. They do not consider your prior medical history. if you present her with paperwork advocating for yourself and your prior Heath conditions she refuses to review them and goes based off of her own medical opinions... she's a nurse practitioner, not A doctor so I found this very odd. And again, when you ask to speak to a REAL doctor she will deny access. This practice will not listen to you or your needs as a patient. This practice will gamble with your health. this facility is biased and does not fully educate themselves on certain health conditions. They should not be in practice they are irresponsible and should be shut down. I do not recommend this practice to anyone. This practice will not take you or your health seriously. This practice prescribes based off opinion and not prior diagnosis. when it comes to mental health, you should go to a doctor that listens to your needs. Cares about you. and takes mental health seriously. They made it clear to me that they prescribe based off medication "demand" rather than an actual diagnosis. That's absolutely disgusting to me.
