Hello all, I took my 8 year old on 8/16/2021, for a consultation for braces.First, I gave them my insurance. I KNOW MY COVERAGE'S. Then the coordinator told me with out even checking the insurance information or coverage was (THAT WE HAD NO COVERAGE FOR ORTHODONTIST) she had only checked in the website. Even a person who had none to little experience on insurance knows that the coordinator need to call and verify the coverages. She didn't do that. We are dark people . So we felt that she didn't want to work with us. To shut down a person like that. Means, only one thing they don't want to work with you or your kind. So to prover her wrong I personally called my insurance and asked them about my coverage. I had my insurance lady on the phone and she said they are covered. And the coordinated from the orthodontist said is ok we will not do any work until next year. Ok, I said why you jumped and said that I had no coverage. Discouraging us from getting any work done from this place because we look different. The work that we just need it was simple I need it permanent retainer and my other son needed braces too. So no I don't encourage anyone to come and do any work at place. I am definitely not going to this place not because I look different but because the service was very Awful. Thanks god I didn't do any work with because of the service is awful the product is even worst. Trust is the key how can I trust a person who shut me down and lied to me in my face. I absolutely love Paulson Orthodontics. The people who work here are genuine, kind, caring, and they know what they're doing. I was always excited to go into the ortho office every month to see the staff. I met Dr.Paulson at Rubios in Redlands and he overheard me talking about getting braces and gave me his card. He's a very kind man who made me feel comfortable and cared for. I had my braces for 2 years and my smile is beautiful. The only thing I wish they did differently with my teeth is to smooth out my front teeth a little more and I had looked forward to having the wire retainer but they suggested I get the new plastic retainer which does good in keeping my teeth straight but sometimes the retainer hurts my jaw. Also, I had a gap in my front teeth before I had braces and if I don't wear my retainer every night the gap begins to come back, so I wish I had gotten either a permanent retainer on the top or cut a piece of that muscle between my teeth. But overall, I'm pleased with my new smile. Also, when I was interested in being a ortho assistant as a job, they let me shadow them for a day and it was very kind of them. All in all, this ortho office is a great place. The office is beachy, the staff is friendly, and their faith shows in their speech and actions. read more

Dr. Paulson and the entire staff are spectacular! I have twin sons that are 13 and they had some pretty severe teeth issues. Not only did they get their teeth fixed but they completed it in only 22 months. This is a place where kids want to go! Everyone is professional and kind. My friend took her daughter there, and Dr. Paulson was able to provide a two year treatment plan for this very difficult case. Imagine your daughter with "buck teeth" and the teasing she would endure at school. When this patient's treatment was complete she had a movie star smile and it made a huge difference in her self esteem. Very disappointed of this office staff. Not the employees up front that make appointments but the employees in the back that apply the brackets and change bands. I received rude treatment from the beginning. Told me to sit down didn't introduce herself and demanding and rude from then on. I then saw somebody else the next visit when I asked a question about my braces she said oh don't worry your little head about it ( I'm 58 ) let me do my job. The last thing that happened was when I went in to have my wire clipped that was poking my cheek I informed her that I was very frightened that she would accidentally clip my soft tissue in my mouth she looked at me no smile stern look and poked the wire cutters at me in the air in three rapid successions, I said I'm serious this frightens me I don't want to be accidentally cut she repeated the same thing. My 16 year old grandson was with me and we couldn't believe what she did. I mostly would sit in the car and cry afterward trying to make the best of the situation to stick it out as the office had cash up front from me and cash from me paying for the pictures they needed as well and the insurance paid half. I finally couldn't go back any more I felt it was a hostile environment and that if I complained to the orthodontist he wouldn't believe me and I would be treated worse. It appeared from my perspective that the office girls ran him and not the other way around I felt bullied. I finally stopped and found a great orthodontist and office staff that treats me well and answers all my questions. Yes I have to pay all over again but I couldn't continue with the office. The office is always busy seems popular mostly children and teenagers. My experience was really bad and bullying treatment. I told them I moved if I told them what really happened I feel they wouldn't have forwarded the necessary records to my new orthodontist now that everything is done I can finally write a review so I can't be harmed by them any longer. All I can say is, Dr. Paulson is a BLESSING from God! After being told by another orthodontist (who happens to be just around the corner) that the only way to correct our daughter's mouth was major jaw surgery, we had almost lost all hope. Madi had her appointment yesterday after being fitted with a Herbst Appliance only 6 months ago and the results are AMAZING! The staff and Dr. Paulson are so sweet and always answer our questions with patience and grace. When first told about the Herbst Appliance, we both felt it would be too big and cumbersome in her mouth . She actually cried when she saw it and once out in the car, told me she was "DONE with trying to fix her mouth." Now, we see a different girl. A girl with so much confidence, she would like to pursue a career in modeling Yesterday's appointment was a great time of celebration. Dr. Paulson and his staff were dressed as super heroes for their .monthly theme. Afterwards,, we saw Dr. Paulson during lunch at Panera Bread. .Madi went over to say hello and came back laughing and said, "I just love that he didn't change out of his Green Lantern costume to come here." Happy is an understatement when it comes to how we feel about Dr. Paulson. The entire staff is so caring and friendly- they answered my millions of questions always with a smile. They speak directly to my ten-year-old, not over her to us, which is a big deal for us- she feels so mature and special. They are very thorough and we never feel rushed through an appointment. We feel like we matter to each person there, like we are part of their family. My friend had recommended them, and I am so glad we went! They are also great with figuring out insurance- we have a weird insurance- no cards or anything, and they knew exactly what to do and got it all worked out for us. I have enjoyed visiting this office for the past 19 months, i drive an hour to go to this orthodontist. The ladies at the front counter are so nice and understand if things come up and you need to change you appointment, they really work with you. Dr Paulson is so great, he is nice and easy going and a pleasure to talk to. I requested to see Karen only as she is so sweet and makes sure to get the job done right and as gentle as possible, when an adjustment would hurt she talks you thru it and is so caring. When it came time to get my braces off, I hardly felt her removing the brackets. My teeth came out so beautiful in only 17 months i couldn't believe it. I would recommend this office to everyone. The environment is very easy going and i initially chose this office as Dr. Paulson is a believer and not afraid to let others know.
