Here are some problems I encountered during the process: After finishing the patio I found they left wires that were previously buried laying above the patio. A narrow canyon was left between the retaining wall and the adjoining landscape. I was told backfilling the empty space was my responsibility. Two days after signing the contract and paying the required amount- an additional charge of $850 was added because they thought the workers might need to work an extra day. I have no idea if they needed an extra day. Although we mapped out the planned patio on the first visit that determined the cost I was hit by news on the second visit that I was getting a smaller patio. After discussion that was resolved. I was told I could have the work done with or without a permit. I didn't think a company would go forward with work if a permit was absolutely necessary.
