I brought my winter coat in for cleaning and Angelo did an amazing job! I had makeup stains on my coat that I didn't think would be removed and he removed all makeup stains! I had a faux brim on my parka. It didn't look good. I contacted Rachel and she informed me they often replace the faux fur brims on parkas I sent in the faux fur brim to them and received a few fur choices via email. The result was amazing! Today I went to Pavlis Furs after a Yelp search. There are not many furriers these days and it was refreshing knowing that my beloved fur coats are handmade locally by Angelo himself. Angelo and his father warmly greeted me right away when I walked into their beautiful showroom. The prices are extremely reasonable for the high quality of fur and workmanship each coat exudes. I had my mom's vintage Persian Lamb and mink coat that needed some repair. The owner was so knowledgeable and knew exactly how to fix the tears in the shoulders of the coat. He cleaned it and my goodness . . . looks like the day my mom got it 50+ years ago! This shop was started by his father and he not only runs the furrier but he makes many (if not all?) of the coats, makes his own patterns, etc. I hadn't been to a furrier since I was a little girl so I was blown away by just how beautiful everything was! "Not your mother's mink coats" is an understatement. I tried on one of the fingertip length short hair mink coats . . . that's REVERSIBLE I'm in love! And I'm not what I would call a "fur person"! I would highly recommend coming here if you need repairs or want to make a purchase. I have a feeling places like this are very few and far between these days which is sad. The only 2 furriers I could find listed in the entire state of Montana were out of state for the next 4 months, returning in the summer. So I went online and chose Pavlis Furs. I am very glad I did. Angelo called me at home and reviewed the probable cost of repair, depending on condition of the fur. His estimate was just a little high of what he billed. I have had a custom coat made by Angelo 15 years ago that is worn trudging through the streets of Chicago with a backpack for every winter day below 30 degrees. The coat still looks like it is brand new. Angelo and Rachel lovingly restore and store the coat every Summer. Today I went to see about repairs for two fur coats. The gentleman at Pavlis looks at these furs and assessed the condition. He recommended not to repair the furs because the pelts were dry rotting. I have to appreciate a person who is so honest know that he needs the business on these times of Covid. There were no sales tactics to sell me another coat. Just a very nice man being very honest. Just received my full-length, brand new dark Mahogany Lunaraine mink coat bought SIGHT UNSEEN (honest to goodness) on EBay, after eyeing this baby and speaking back and forth with the owner, Angelo, and his lovely wife, Rachel. I was extremely careful about making certain the measurements were correct for my body type. That is KEY when buying a coat over the Internet. If you pay attention to Angelo's measurements and guidance regarding the coat's size, you'll be fine. Back to the coat, itself. The sweep was incredible! The fur was soft, thick and just gorgeous! I just bought a fur from Pavlis Furs, sight unseen, on eBay. There were good pictures and dimensions, but not until it arrived did I know what I was getting. I am thrilled! They sent me this beautiful preowned Christian Dior Blue Iris Mink, full length. I am tall and frequently have problems with sleeve length. These sleeves are perfect and have terrific style. This coat is in wonderful condition, obviously just cleaned, and glazed and it has been stored properly over its 10-15 year life. It is like a new coat, fits like it was made for me and the quality is remarkable. This coat will last me for decades if I store and clean it properly, and I really appreciate the owners of Pavlis Furs for their excellent service and talking such good care of this coat. It was also nicely priced. I have been looking for a blue iris colored coat for a year and this one is terrific. We visited Pavlis Furs to have a full length fur tailored to something more casual. Angelo Pavlis warmly greeted us and was very helpful in explaining what was involved and what the result would be. We liked the idea that he would do the actual tailoring. We viewed several furs in the shop to understand what Angelo was explaining. We found a sheared fur jacket that was intriguing. Since we were not interested in buying a new fur we thanked Angelo and went on our way. After several days of reflecting, we returned to the shop and talked seriously about the sheared fur we accidentally discovered. Angelo took us on a tour of the shop including the backroom where we viewed the pelts he was then working on. We were enamored by his Intriguing generosity, knowledge, and graciousness. We bought the sheared fur jacket trading the former full length fur. We completed the transaction with good feelings and a desire to continue our business with Pavlis Furs. In fact we dropped off a men's leather jacket for cleaning and conditioning. Most importantly, we've since received numerous complements on the new fur. read more

I brought in a shearling cape with pen Mark's all over the front. Like magic it's all gone and looks better than ever. I had a reversible mink with something sticky on the cuff and spots all over the reversible raincoat side, I had this coat cleaned by another furrier, but Pavlis brought it back to life. I had been searching all over Chicago for a furrier to alter a coat I had from the 80's. I searched high and low, until one day, magically, I found Angelo at Pavlis Furs. Angelo LOVES fur. This man LOVES what he does. And it's so obvious. He is so enthusiastic about fur, not to mention so knowledgeable. He makes everything in house, so anything you want made, he can make for you. His craftsmanship is beyond stunning. Fur is beautiful to begin with, but Angelo makes everything look amazing with the most detailed and intricate furrier tailoring. Plus, Angelo is super personable. Either way, the repairs for the coat would have been too high, so I bought a new vest from Angelo instead. The reason I give this place one $ is because for fur prices, this place is as cheap as it gets. The prices are ridiculously low for fur, especially considering the quality (and love) that goes into each piece. You can find significantly nicer and better made pieces here than you could at Neiman or Nordstrom with much better prices. The best part is, if you want something taken in or if you want a piece custom made, Angelo can do it for you. I am obsessed with Pavilis Furs. I am already saving up to get my next piece!!! read more
