I don't think I've ever been in their retail store before, but have dropped off goods many times over the years. We're purging our house of 20 years of accumulated stuff. When you arrive, they have a door for dropping off donations. We've given them clothes, nick-nacks, paintings, glassware, and more. They take everything with a smile. We'll continue to drop off merchandise as we have it. And, perhaps next time we go I'll stop into their store. The reviews are certainly good.

When my items were returned to me, they had been thrown back into my bag in a tangled pile, resulting in wrinkled clothing and unnecessary wear. The attached photo speaks for itself. What was even more disappointing was the response I received when I called to discuss the issue. Rather than acknowledging the concern or offering a sincere apology, the manager responded sarcastically by asking what I expected them to do differently in the future. For a business that relies entirely on customers bringing in quality inventory, this level of disrespect and lack of professionalism is astonishing. Preparing clothing for resale takes time, effort, and money. I spent my own resources washing, drying, folding, and transporting these items, only to have them returned in worse condition than when they arrived. Now I get to spend part of my day re-washing, re-drying, and re-folding everything because basic care and courtesy were apparently too much to ask. I understand that not every item will be purchased. That's not the issue. The issue is how customers' property is treated and how concerns are handled when they are raised. The condition in which my belongings were returned, combined with the dismissive attitude from management, has ensured that I will never return to this location. If customer service, respect for personal property, and professionalism matter to you, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

I know it is a chain store, but I feel like every store I visit is slightly different depending upon the region, current season, and sale room finds. Dressing room staff are friendly and helpful, and they take time to listen and understand what you are shopping for. Take time to stop, and smell the candles, as they are often the best scents and not too over powering. Walking through the housewares section is always a treat. The prices here are higher than local area stores like TJ Maxx or Home Goods, but shopping Anthropologie is a true luxe experience in itself. I could spend a couple of hours in this store just enjoying the atmosphere. Escape for a couple of hours and enjoy yourself here for awhile. Order a coffee, tea, or mocha ice storm from Nordstrom's coffee bar, just down the escalator, then browse while you treat yourself to a drink too!
