It's clean, well maintained. The workers are polite and most of them work at the schools during the year and then here for the summer. Their jobs are not easy and I respect them. On the weekends the pool closes between 2-3p in order to be cleaned. Free for kids under 12 and 4 dollars with proof of residency (electric bill) I was paying 500.00 for a town pool in Westchester the summer before that was much smaller and not as nice. My family likes it and will continue to spend the dog days of summer here.

The exercise equipment room seems to be well equipped with several machines and weights. The staff is friendly. The gym overlooks the hudson so exercising is made easier due to the view, the pool has a top that opens when the weather is warm. There is an outdoor patio and a very large indoor lounge room. The hours are: Weekdays 6:30am-10:30 and 4:30-9:00pm weekends 9:30-6pm

Main reason is management is absurdly lazy. They have most showers that don't give anything except boiling hot water for many months. Some of the showers are closed. You complain months after month to the manager, every time he pretends he never heard of it. And many members who complained say the same. One of the urinals is "temporary" out of order -- for almost a year. Water comes from the ceiling in the middel of the weight room -- they have a pail to collect it for six months now. There are other problems, but main one is the manager doesn't give a shit about work, he just chit chats with the girls all day long.

It is hard to understand why because there are usually a bunch of attendants sitting around in the front at 11am but they never open the entrance gate til around 11:15/11:20am. Sometimes they have to wait for the police attendant to come. Once they do open, it is pretty fast to get inside. They look to make sure you have a lock. They require you to rinse off before going into the pool. On the deck, they don't allow you to wear anything besides a bathing suit or a white tee and flip flops. Not supposed to bring food, books or cell phone out.

The staff makes sure to harass you as much as they can, you aren't allowed to have fun, they have a problem with everything, no running, no jumping, no holding on to each other while swimming, phones must be in the locker and cannot be used in the pool deck. The kiddie pool was closed on this day I visited because someone shit in it. I actually read in the news that they closed the entire pool the week before on one of the hottest days of the summer because someone shit in it. Google it if you don't believe me. The atmosphere has definitely improved, but not worth coming here again since the staff likes to make sure that they manage every little detail and impose each and every rule upon you. You really can't have fun at this pool, everything is a problem, literally my 4 year old daughter was holding on to me while swimming, they said "No holding on to each other while swimming." This place has potential but as long as it's ran by the NYC Parks and recreation it will always be a toilet.

Luliias voice is so soothing and her classes are so fun, the Friday class specially feels like everyone is connected Gigis class is super cool on Sundays it should be renamed Juicy Yoga with Gigi lol, shes so funny and connects with everyone, the class feels like cuddles after sex. Spin with Juggy and Melora is elite. Ive gotten so much faster in my road bike after just a few classes. Functional training with Nyerre Mays is un-unreal. He is such a cool dude and such a Pro. The pool is epic, the Jacuzzi forget about it. The entire staff is super friendly and makes everyone feel super welcomed. I truly feel at home whenever I make it to the gym. The MVPs of the gym are the cleaning staff though, everything is so spotless all the time. In a city so chaotic is nice to have this peaceful oasis.

Google can't give you an exact location to the pool. In my attached picture I dropped a pin to the entrance to the sports center. Once inside you turn left, go downstairs, and pass the squash courts. Or you can ask the reception/security person at the front entrance for directions. It costs $15 per visit or $50 per month for general public. They do NOT accept cash or American Express. Remember to check online schedule before you go. They often have events and classes and the pool will be unavailable. The pool is half size so you would have to turn around every 20 odd strokes. The pool is not very deep for adults - 4 ft 3 on one end and 5 ft 3 on the other. There's a digital clock on the wall showing minutes and second only. The water and surrounding is a good temperature so I didn't get chills going in and coming out. You can use the lockers in the changing room (BYOL, plenty spaces) or there are some benches by the pool that look underutilized. There are two showers in women's changing room. There was little competition for the shower on this Friday evening, but it could be a bit of issue if you collided with a class. Shower is weak and just barely warm. Some shampoo/shower gel is provided but I'd recommend bring your own if you plan on showing for real. There's a wall mounted hair dryer that gets its job done. I saw a couple girls came in with their own hair dryer. Final tip, pay attention on your way in, co you'll need to find your way out.
