Competitive swimming pool open daily free of charge to all. When was the last time you had a nice swim for as long as you wanted for free? Like try never! Pool is clean, yes slightly dated but so well maintained. Went there today from 11am to 12, guess how many people there were on all 6 lanes? 4people! By the time i was done: there were 2 left. Yes, location sucks and really this is for people from Newark, Harrison and perhaps Karney to enjoy. Showers are dated and not all work; bring your own hair dryer. But all that doesn't bother me since i can just go home and be there in 5min. Also excellent for kids since they do have baby and toddler depths available. They plan to close it for 15 days renovation but will reopen in Nov. Also i am looking forward to their ice rink hours. Will be available later in fall. Again kids classes avaible for free (from what i hear). All in all i am impressed and will come back!

The pool is warm and enclosed in glass to keep the temp in. Each zone is marked clearly for class, has small benches for the littles to sit on, and is very clean. Next, the instructors.. WOW! We had have an amazing experience with Coach Sam and Coach Chris. They encourage the children to be brave and assure them they are safe in their care. They are very patient and friendly. We love them! Class sizes are super small and all of the children get plenty of time to practice their skills. I was nervous about the pro-submersion approach but they make it fun and less intimidating for the children- and its so good for them in the long run. There is PLENTY of seating for caretakers to sit and watch class from the lounge. They offer water, coffee, and tea for the adults while there. There is also a large lounge area with tables in the front of the building. There is a counter with drinks, snacks, and aquatots tools (pool noodles, ring, etc) for sale. They have changing rooms, hair dryers, bathrooms, swimsuit dryers. Classes, schedules, make up classes and progress reports are all available on the app. And the icing on the cake.. FREE PARKING LOT!

This pool is tiny...and dirty…read more There is usually a line to get in as they do monitor how many people are in the pool as they should. The pool is pretty small and it can get rowdy. It also isn't the cleanest pool, even though they make you shower before getting in. There is dirt and loose hair floating all around and it's pretty gross when it gets stuck to you. It's a hassle for me to get here, so unless I'm in the area and I'm about to melt, I'll probably pass.

My my family and I have been attending the pool the whole summer with no problems or issues except…read moretoday... The whole summer My grandson that have autism have been able to use a side of the pool with me without any issues , Today two lifeguards approach him in a rude way telling him to move to another area of the pool. . I immediately intervene and asked them what was the problem. They Explained to me that the area was restricted for the usa of the slide only.. I told him that we've been using the area for the whole summer without any problem, but immediately remove my kid and went to the other side of the pool. I did tell them that they needed to approach a child in a different way since it was not his fault the whole summer we were allow to use that particular area . One of them just laugh at me and I then decided to speak to the pool supervisor. I went to the office with with other lifeguards were present and I explain to the supervisor of what just happened. I told the supervisor that we will follow the rules, but I did let him know that the whole summer area was open to all the kids and even adults . Also I explain it to him that my grandson have Autism and the two lifeguards were very intimidated the way they were talking to him till I got involved. The supervisor I assure me that he was gonna talk to them . I then proceeded to go to the other side of the pool with my two grandkids.. as I passed by one lifeguard on duty, I heard him making fun of my conversations with the supervisor telling out loud where other kids and family can hear him saying " The kids have autism And his Grndma is complaining "and all that while laughing. My grandson were humiliating in front of other kids his age .He heard him . I then went back to the Supervisor and informed me what just happened.. at that point I was limit. I was angry and hurt for my grandson. I then advise the supervisor. that I was going to report this incident.. I felt like he was not taking the incident seriously. He was more worried about me reporting the incident then my grandson who was humiliated and embarrassed by this incident.. my grandson is a high functioning child that happened to be on the spectrum. I then procedure to leave and call my Uber and while waiting for my Uber , not one but 3 police officer show up and were notify by a adult employee that refuse to identify herself to me that they wanted me to leave The Knew that I was waiting on a Uber . They did that to intimidate me because I assure them early that I was going to report this incident to the Mayor's office. If this is how North Burgen intimidate their residence when a resident have a complain then this is a big problem . I will not allow anyone to intimidate me when defending my grandson's , rights. Three police officers !!! I will not allow anyone to silence me or intimidate me at all . This incident will be know Trust me . I will be moving forward to take this complaint to the right authority.
