I was so nervous but Krista was so welcoming and is practically an expert at interpreting dog behavior. I loved that we were able to do a meet and greet before my pups stay. She introduced her wonderful dogs to our dog and quickly determined our pup would be a good fit. She gave us a tour of the the dog ranch which was impressive. I was relieved my pup would have is own large temperature controlled room to sleep in. Their dog ranch is very organized, they have an excellent system in place and routine for the dogs, lots of play time! I love that the dogs can all play outside, and that I was sent pictures of my happy dog daily. When our stay was prolonged one day, Krista accomodated us and our pup was able to stay an extra night, I would recommend bringing extra dog food in case you may return a day later than anticipated. I liked that we were able to bring our pups kennel that he loves to sleep in and his bedding. My dog has some anxiety so Krista recommended bringing boiled chicken and rice in case he didn't want to eat, that was a great idea and I love that they have a fridge to keep pets food as well. I would definitely recommend Ballypines dog ranch to anyone who wants their pet to be well cared for. It was good to not be stressed about my pups stay away from us, I completely trust them with caring for my dog. I also like that they require dogs to have all shots including the flu vaccine, bordetella vaccine and a recent fecal/stool test. In this regard it may cost more than other dog boarding facilities (that's because this is nothing like your typically dog boarding facility ) and is definitely worth it so you know your dog is less likely to get sick during their stay. My pup was so tired for two days after he returned home because he had a blast playing all day! We are looking forward to his next stay!

Somehow, that became three days on my bill.The owner explained they charge by "calendar day," meaning even a 24‑hour stay counts as two days. In my case, a 48‑hour stay magically transformed into three. Impressive, if you're grading creativity. Not so impressive if you're the one paying.Nothing else about the experience was terrible, but the pricing structure is misleading at best and predatory at worst. I won't be returning, and I recommend anyone considering this place ask very specific questions about how they calculate time -- preferably with a calculator in hand.

Since then, they helped us train her and train our 2nd Shepard in Schutzhund training by Dwayne. Dwayne can train any type of dog to track or protect, pretty amazing! Annnd, they've vastly expanded their dog kennel and horse area. The dog kennel is huge! Spots for the dog inside and outside. They have a huge social area, so when you drop your dog off (assuming they are not aggressive) they can have a fun time with other 4 leggers! We've left both our dogs with them and have had great experiences every time. As far as their grooming goes = top notch! Today we dropped Chief off in the morning to get his Easter/Summer Beach bod showing! Pants shortened, nails clipped and pruned and ready for the Easter ladies! He looks great. There is no other place in Hampton Roads we trust more then Blue Sky Farms!

My first dog was a rescue and went through training with Lisa Marie, who did an excellent job. He ended up attending daycare almost every weekday of his life until he passed in 2022 at the age of 18. To this day I attribute his long life to the love (and the activity) that he was given by the staff at Four Paws on a daily basis. Since his passing I got a new puppy that has been attending daycare every weekday as well. She can't wait to go every day, and rushes to the front door when we arrive in the morning. You know that you are at a great place for your dog when the staff is as excited to see the dog as much as your dog is excited to see them. The prices at Four Paws are very reasonable, especially compared to other options nearby. I have temporarily tried other facilities (mostly due to the pandemic), but none stand up to the level of Four Paws. I've recommended them to other dog owners I know and they are now regular daycare attendees as well. If you bring your dogs to Four Paws both you and your dogs will not be disappointed!

I have never been disappointed with the care my cat received here, and when our family dog, Teddy, was alive, we honestly feel like his life was extended thanks to excellent vet care. I look forward to coming here every year for my feline's yearly exam. There was one incident when I had to take the feline to an emergency "same day" appointment back in March (2022), and they handled her so well, although it took a few days to get ahold of someone to discuss her results, it all got worked out. So I started doing research and making calls. BVH did everything I needed to have done. *Everything*, from blood work, to AI to delivering the pups, and even giving me a heads up about the health of one puppy being dodgy. As it turned out, we lost him, but his brother is now a happy, healthy nine-month-old. In a piece of bad luck, and bad temper causing my hippopotamus mouth to overload my hummingbird behind, I managed to get us discharged from our former vet. I have never been happier about such an event in my life. I had been considering leaving that office for a number of reasons, the biggest being lack of available appointments, parking issues, and a distinct shift in the attitudes of the staff. I just hadn't had that 'time to pull the trigger on this one' event. I do not do change well. But, having it done for me... What I found at BVH was what I had known at the previous office. Caring people, concise care for my dogs, great follow-up, great parking, just... great. I had a chat with Dr. Szabo, asking her if we could change vets, explaining to her what had gone down. Of course. I was so nervous about it, and I shouldn't have been. I screwed up, and she was willing to give me another chance not to do it again. As I said, these folks are just wonderful, and are helping me get some skin issues under control without obsessing over something or pushing products and whatnot. Whatever they recommend, they do so with an explanation as to the reason for that specific product. We've been seeing them now for a little over a year, and I couldn't be happier.

The waiting room and examination rooms are very clean. Harley has seen Dr. Manning for almost every appointment. He is fantastic. He explains everything clearly, presents all options to you, and truly cares about his patients and their owners. We have always had fantastic interactions. Lastly, Bostic has fantastic hours. I find most vets close at 5pm, but Bostic understands that Pet Parents are busy and most employers won't let you go early for vet appointments. Bostic is open until 8pm on Monday's and Thursdays, which allows more flexibility in getting your pet in. I highly recommend Bostic for your fur babies!
