There are three types of accommodation, we usually stick with the basic and I think it's sufficient. The owner introduces himself to you and lets you walk around the facility if you want to check it out. Also, they screen dogs for friendliness or aggression, that way they know whether to separate the aggressive dogs from group play during their stay. They are also great with grooming too. I think Amanda is the one who grooms my dog. Previously, I had gone to a place where my dog was there ALL DAY. At Pampered Pet, it is about 3 hours.

The staff is very friendly and seems to really like what they do, are competent, and care about the dogs which is very important to me. My husband and I visited on Friday to prepay and schedule our reservation for the next day. We were informed that the facility opened at 8:00 AM. We arrived at 7:50 AM on Saturday and waited until 8:15 AM, at which point a staff member informed us that the doors do not open until 9:00 AM on Saturdays. He stated that we would need to pay an additional $15 for early admission, which my husband paid. We were told that our dog's rabies medallion was insufficient proof of vaccination, which is something we should have been told the day before. While the staff member suggested our dog could stay in isolation with a waiver, the delay made us late for the wake of my father-in-law. Consequently, our dog had to remain in our car for the duration of the wake and funeral. Thankfully, it was a cool day but I did not want this for my dog. Nor had I planned to go back and forth to check on my dog on such an emotional day. When I called at noon to see if she could still be dropped off and put in isolation, a different staff member informed me this was not permitted. We have been told that we cannot be reimbursed for the daycare and early admission fees and will instead receive a credit. While we acknowledge the missing vaccination documents, we believe the information we presented was misread. We are frustrated that we paid for services we did not receive due to conflicting information from the staff. I emailed a letter stating our grievances to management but did not receive a response. I do not like leaving negative reviews but this situation was not handled properly and I would hate for someone to go through the same situation.

My answer was , she may sometimes not get along w smaller dogs . She immediately said well we dont separate by size . I was just trying to explain that my dog would just really benefit from an evaluation and they can determine and place her where they see fit? It was like she was trying to deter me from coming in and pretty much argumentative. It was bizarre. I then explained that the day care closest to my home does not have cameras which is why I was interested in their day care. She immediately said well we dont have cameras either. I was confused because i just read on their website , verbatim " we have closed circuit video monitoring" . She said well we have very high end clients and there was a lot of theft here so those cameras are for that . I told them their website is very misleading . They could of course care less. Now i understand the terrible reviews here on Yelp . Not surprised. HARD PASS.

They even took him to the vet for us while we were on vacation one time because we found out after dropping him off he had ransacked the garbage, eating who knows what. If you do not pay for extra the dogs only get walked 3 times a day for less than 5 minutes and no attention is paid to them. Even with play time during the day after 5:30 they do not get walked again or checked on it seems till 13 hours later at 6:30 the next morning. When we picked up our dog the place was barren outside and the play rooms looked pretty empty just sounds of howling dogs in cages. I asked how many dogs they had at that time and the worker said about 50, plus cats. No dogs playing outside, barely any playing inside, and only 3 people working for all of those dogs. We had a live feed of our dog and could see the dog next to it and it got sick in its cage and was not attended to for at least an hour. We also arrived at 12 PM like we were told and they tried to charge us an extra $60 for "late checkout" because it was after 11 AM.

Both times she came home sick and required a vet visit. The first time she had kennel cough. This time we boarded her for a week and she came home down 3 pounds 26 lbs to 23 lbs) and with terrible diarrhea that lasted for days and required another vet visit and medication to address. Zero communication about her not eating or the weight loss during the stay or at pickup. Not sure if it was a case of their lack of attention to what was going on or they just didn't care. We have boarded our dogs there many times over the years but the care and attention now seems to be lacking. I can no longer recommend them.
