We had a health emergency. Our German Shepherd is anxious and aggressive to people and pets. Has never been in a kennel. We took him for a 2 hour meeting. When we picked him up, they said they would take him for the week. What a blessing. The staff worked with him. They were wonderful. Sent us updates on him. He did GREAT. I definitely would not board my dog here again. We boarded our dog for 2 nights and in hindsight we should have paid for play time during the day but it would not have mattered much. If you do not pay for extra the dogs only get walked 3 times a day for less than 5 minutes and no attention is paid to them. Even with play time during the day after 5:30 they do not get walked again or checked on it seems till 13 hours later at 6:30 the next morning. When we picked up our dog the place was barren outside and the play rooms looked pretty empty just sounds of howling dogs in cages. I asked how many dogs they had at that time and the worker said about 50, plus cats. No dogs playing outside, barely any playing inside, and only 3 people working for all of those dogs. We had a live feed of our dog and could see the dog next to it and it got sick in its cage and was not attended to for at least an hour. We also arrived at 12 PM like we were told and they tried to charge us an extra $60 for "late checkout" because it was after 11 AM. read more

More then 6 years we have been bringing our dogs and cats to All Star and have been happy, up until the last 3 times. They are under staffed and that's hard to overcome in this new normal. Now this doesn't mean they take less care of precious family members we a forced to leave behind sometimes. It's all the other stuff. Hard to get them on the phone sometimes. It takes much longer to check in and out even when you call ahead. Fortunately my dogs didn't get kennel cough this visit but did the two previous times. This last time they took my dogs bedding out of the enclosure a day early. We also asked them to fix the angle of the camera to see the whole enclosure on the first day but five days later nothing. read more

All star pet resort were kind caring and attentive to our Pets needs our one dog was very timid and this was the first time boarding her, at first we placed her by herself and my other two dogs together in another suite but she had difficulty relaxing at first. the staff noticed that she was not responding well to the new surroundings and asked if they can have one of my other dogs visit her. she responded very well to seeing her other housemate and we eventually boarded them together. Won't go back!!! Our dogs were boarded for 8 days... added grooming -- they groomed on the day of pick up. We were forced to wait 3 additional hours to see our babies. The next evening my son son noticed fleas on Teddy, never ever had our dogs had fleas..... Took Teddy back the next day, rep stated the groomer would not be until Monday. In addition to more or less saying Teddy must've contact fleas after leaving the resort! I'm sure Gordon has fleas (he's black) .. will never return. Very disappointing read more

Not about to put these guys in the DOG HOUSE because they have consistently proven to care about our dogs who have spent time away from home at this New Jersey Shore "Resort.!" As you can guess, neither Tyler who recently spent a week at ALL STAR PET RESORT nor Wesley who once spent time here never said anything about their stay nor did I find any notes amongst their dog toys but dogs do show their feelings off and once again it was clear that Tyler was one happy dog after his 8 days with these animal loving folks. Cleanliness is said to be next to Godliness and with the potential of 130 dogs residing in one location that is an essential expectation for dog owners who have to allow their family member to spend time away from home. ALL STAR is immaculate; both the grounds and the interior of their facility. But what really matters is the interaction between staff and guests. It's not just the front desk folks but the young people who are with the dogs who all seem to have this great smile on their faces. These folks enjoy their job and I guess I would too if I got to be a friend to lots of tail wagging lonesome dogs. They all seem to be dog lovers and who better to have the responsibility for watching one's pet? My daughter really had difficulty letting go but the owner said he would text her a daily photo of Tyler to her while we were away. What an awesome thing to do and it made Megan's day when those texts came in. Of course, you can go deluxe and pay for a webcam in your pet's kennel, which just verifies how good the people at ALL STAR feel about their care for their guests. So it's not a WOOF WOOF but a definitely tail wagging approval and as dog owners it feels good that we know exactly where our dog(s) will go whenever we need to be away for one night or an extended stay ... it's just possible that the dogs get better treatment than we do at the hotels we stay at but the dogs never are going to tell us that because they want us to think we got the best of the deal! read more

When I picked up my dog after (4) days I was handed the bed I brought and it was soaked with urine. I had to ask for a garbage bag to put it in. And my dog was filthy. They never have accidents in the house, are they not being walked? I even paid for extra walking. And if their bed is dirty is it not washed or replaced? Also, new faces every time I come, are the owners so horrible they can't keep staff? I've been boarding at All Star for years, usually four or five times a year. Not what it used to be. New owners? Seems like a chain bought them. Way too many additional charges. Seems like they try to guilt you into buying the extras like playtime and cuddle time. They always had the extras but now it costs 3 times as much. They do offer camera views of your pets but the cameras need to be adjusted like they used to so I can see the pen door. I asked about it and got the runaround. Really, just get a ladder and tilt it down. During check-in, there were about 5 staff just hanging out and none came to help the customer waiting while I was being helped. More staff was outside working so I see no shortage. We were able to add an extra day while we were on vacation with no problem but some miscommunication happened because my dogs' beds were taken out of their pen a day early. We also called ahead 45 minutes before pickup but still had to wait for 1 guy to gather our stuff and I had to keep sending him back because we were missing things. Pets seemed fine and well cared for though I couldn't tell you if they got the extras I paid for. They used to send pics &texts. read more

We just picked up our rescue who was there for doggie daycare so she could have a playdate and we specifically told them she goes in with the small dogs which she is and do not crate her. They usually have a live feed so that you can observe your pups playing and having a good time. Well the feed was conveniently not working today and my wife and I decided to just go and pick her up. When we got there we saw the cameras were working fine in the office and here were all the dogs in one room. Big dogs and little dogs . I was irate as that was one of our concerns. We were informed that there was 4 callouts today which is not our problem. If there was 4 callouts why did the manager leave for the day. Why were we not called and informed that we do not have the help today and given the option to pick her up. It's obvious money comes before your pets well being. I normally don't write reviews, but I had to write this one from the time you walk in the door to the time you pick up your dog or other anima it's an amazing experience. They are very professional, kind, gentle and you know that your dog or other animal is in great hands. I boarded my dog for nine days and I must say they are the best around with caring, kindness and gentleness and giving your animal lots of love. If you're looking for a place to board your animal while you go on vacation or any other reason and want to relax and have a peace of mind this is the place for you. I gave this establishment 5 stars so you guys would possibly read this. All Star used to be a very good.place to board your pet.-however, as of 04 -2022, not so much. The services they attempt to provide are overpriced, everything besides the actual act of boardng is ala cart and , what you're buying may, IMIO not actually be worth what they charge $$$ Please uderstand, Im NOT out to decieve anyone and when I say MAYBE the quality hovers around 2 stars and, this is being kind. (Take this review any way you want, unlike some of the reviews regarding All Star, I don't work there. I'm just describing my own experience) Evidently, there's been some changes to management or staff or both and, not all change is good. Besides a recent boardatella scare /spread, an alleged attempt to cover it up failed outright. if that's not sufficient reason to go elsewhere to board the pet you love, to a lesser degree, some current employees are either not aware of their own company policy or worse, cannot seem to grasp or more accurately, comprehend what their own policy actually is. To conclude, save your money, time and most of all peace of mind - thankfully there is more than one place available that WILL truly care for your pet whilst not charging an exorbitant price to do so. read more

Several months ago we did the intake process and we're completely satisfied and had every bit of confidence that our dogs will be taken care of at the highest level of care. However , upon scheduling a reservation this past week from start to finish we were very disappointed. The check-in process was very confusing and disorganized. I was told they were going to be closing in three minutes, so you can imagine what that was like. Considering this was our dogs first stay we decided to call Saturday morning to check up on our pups. I left a message and call was never returned. We came Sunday evening around 5 PM to pick up our three dogs. Our dogs were released to us with the wrong NAMED collars on and the wrong harnesses on two of them including being placed on incorrectly. What if one of our dogs were on medication, that could that have been a catastrophe in itself. With that being said, I can imagine the wrong dietary schedule followed. Upon pick up, we were not told if our dogs have been fed that evening and with all the stress involved , I never thought to ask. The staff seemed young, unexperienced, and not very personable to say the least. I advised them that we will not be returning under the circumstances. Today is Monday and not a follow up call. We will not be returning, it's very clear we were just a number! Update: I emailed all star and also emailed destination pet who owns them and not a reply from either. Extremely disappointed in how the new management is running this business. We have been long-time customers of All Star pet resort for over 7 years and never had any real issues until this past weekend when we took our dog around 11:00 AM to be boarded from Friday night to Sunday night July 7th to July 9th. During the 10 minutes check in, I explicitly requested and explained to the young lady who did the intake that our dog needed a cot and a blanket in his pen otherwise he would not be able to sleep. She assured me that would not be an issue and said he would be assigned to pen number 15, which was a camera pen, and I could see him there. I checked the camera around twelve p m that same day on Friday, and the message was cameras are down. During the day from 12:30 PM to 7:30 PM I called and left at least three voicemail messages, two email messages and chatted with a representative. No one ever called me back. Around 5 PM I was able to finally see the camera and saw my dog, laying on a cold cement floor. I called and left another message requesting someone to please put a cot and blankets in his pen, which was now pen number 25 instead of pen number 15. No one ever called me back or texted me or emailed me regarding this situation. Subsequently, my dog spent an entire day and night on a cold floor balled up. I was terribly upset, and finally, someone sent a text message Saturday morning the eighth @7AM to tell me they were sorry, and they put in cot and blankets also they would give him a peanut butter Kong and an extra cuddle. Really, this was unacceptable! If I could have left the wedding on Saturday I would have done so just to ensure that he was being cared for properly. I picked him up Sunday morning. The representatives acted like nothing happened, they never apologized, and when I asked for the corporate number, they advised they did not have any corporate information and would have the GM call me back. As of today, I have not heard from All Star corporate or any All-Star representative. Our dog will never go back to this kennel again.!!! Stay away at all costs. The new management cares only about collecting their fees. They billed me for the entire stay full price!!! STAY AWAY!! read more

our 2 year old Whoodle Cookie loved spending time at daycare at All Star! She had never done daycare before and was a bit anxious but we were able to watch her through the website and saw that someone was constantly hanging out in the room with the dogs and gave her attention and scratches all day. That made us feel really good. She also got lots of lovin' from the rest of the staff who all were obsessed with the pets in their care. All the staff was wonderful. We were vacationing in the area and didn't want Cookie by herself at the VRBO all day so we were were lucky to find All Star online and will continue to use them for future Jersey shore summer vacations so Cookie can have her own vacation! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I never leave reviews, but felt like I needed to after my experience with All Star Pet Resort. I would like to start off by saying the workers were very nice and accommodating, however they are too understaffed to keep up with the amount of dogs they have. My dog was suppose to stay Friday to Sunday, but I pulled him out Saturday afternoon because of how he was neglected. My dog was suppose to be walked 3 times a day, but he was not. Also, I paid extra to put my pup in full day daycare, but they only had him in there for less than an hour. He spent the rest of the day in his "room." I called them 30 times on Saturday morning trying to look for an explanation to why my pup was in his cage all morning. After calling for three hours without an answer, I headed there myself. Luckily, I was vacationing close enough to do so. As soon as I arrived to All Star, they apologized and I took my dog out of there. Once we walked outside, he immediately went to the bathroom. He also has a bad cut on his leg and was completely lethargic and was passing out standing up. I continued calling to get an explanation but still haven't received an answer!! Also, I have seen two fleas since picking him up. Fortunately, I gave my dog flea medicine before arriving. This boarding place is just a corporation trying to make as much money as possible without providing proper care to their animals. I am going to report this to whoever I need to to stop this from happening to other dogs. Please do not go here!! read more

Unbelievable facility. Beautiful, clean, top notch kennel recommended by our vet. We watched each kennel being cleaned on a closed circuit Tv. Amazingly thorough cleaning. We were very impressed. The prices were better than we are use to. We will definitely be back. read more

We have taken our pup Tank to All Star twice over the last couple of months. Tank does not like other animals so he has to be boarded by himself. I have been happy with the love and care the staff has shown Tank. Its evident Tank likes All Star and that's good enough for me. read more

Nova hadn't stayed with you in a few years thanks to the pandemic. We are prepping her for a longer stay. This was just an overnight. Loved having the cameras to see my baby. It was easy to make a reservation. She stayed in the same room she will for the longer stay which is nice. I like that there was a choice between doggy daycare and 1 on 1 play time. Nova is a people pup and likes 1on 1 time rather than sharing humans with other puppers. The other extra we got this time was a long for her with peanut butter for a treat. We came to all star pet resort looking for a place we could bring our dogs that was one stop shopping. We wanted somewhere that my dogs would go on a regular basis and would feel comfortable. We are currently doing training with Joey and she is amazing. She really knows what she is talking about. We will be grooming our dogs there soon (my one dog freaks out with baths) we are working on that. Everyone there is super nice and the dogs take to them very well. Extremely disappointed and won't be returning. They were overcrowded and didn't have enough staff to care for the animals they did have. Apparently their cameras were down for the entire week and we had no clue how our dogs were doing or which kennel they really were placed in....and when we called them to ask..they didn't answer, they didn't return any of our multiple phone calls and/or emails...and our dogs were there for a week...also I later confirmed they knew their cameras weren't working during drop off but neglected to mention that to us when we reconfirmed whether the live webcam was connected to our account for us to Access and view...they just said "yes you're all set to view them"....fully aware they weren't on and I wouldn't be able to access them after I left...Were the cameras really broken or did they just not want their customers to view all the chaos that went on behind closed doors during spring break? They should have at least returned our calls or emails when we called to check in...especially because there was a storm the one night and our dog doesn't do well with bad weather...we paid good money to ensure our pets were in good hands while we were away...and to have 24/7 access to the webcams...and so to have this happen instead is extremely disappointing. Never again! In addition our dogs were extremely dehydrated and out of it at pick up. Our one dog also lost a lot of weight while there. Do not recommend. Not sure what changed because they use to be amazing but clearly not anymore. read more

This place is awesome, both the staff and the facilities! Our 70-lb. labradoodle is so excited to gat there in the morning for daycare that I think his tail might fall off from wagging so hard! The grooming services are also excellent and w get compliments on his grooming from other dog owners. It's about a half-hour drive from my house and there are other dog daycare places that are closer, but this is absolutely the best dog daycare in the AC/Ventnor/Margate/Longport area! There is a daycare in Atlantic City that has 4 stars on Yelp. Don't take the reviews on face value. Go to the place and look around for yourself -- the 1 star review are the most credible ones. Do yourself a favor and just go to All Star. You will be glad that you did and so will your pet! read more

I dropped my dog off for an overnight stay. I let the person at the desk know that because we have been traveling, my dog is off of her routine and hasn't been finishing her meals. So I asked them to keep an eye on her. I also purchased two extras: a peanut butter popsicle and an extra walk. When I picked her up, I was given her bed and toys that I dropped off, but they were wet (not damp, but not dripping wet). I was given no explanation why (was it pee? Did they hose down the crate area? Who's knows), and I was given no update on her eating. I don't even know if they attempted to feed her in the morning because they didn't say anything. I was expecting they would tell us what time the extra walk was given and what time she got the popsicle, being that we paid extra for them, but they didn't say anything about it. The lack of update makes me feel like the items that we paid for didnt happen. I understand that they are very busy, and that they can't keep tabs on every dog. But how are customers supposed to know that the extra items that were paid for actually happened? I would have appreciated an update of our dog's time there. For a lot of people, dogs are like children. And I don't think it's asking too much for them to say "she ate" or "she didn't eat". read more

All Star was a great experience for us and for my little puppy Pom Pom when we recently went away for a week. This was our first time away from her and it was honestly nerve-wracking, but the staff at All Star made us feel super comfortable with Pom Pom being there. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and situated on very nicely manicured grounds. They offer dog boarding, cat boarding, and doggie day care. They also have an on-site dog park. For dog boarding, you can choose a standard room, an MVP Junior Suite, or an MVP Suite. We got the MVP Junior Suite for Pom and the cost was $30/day. The animals are taken out for walks everyday, and additional services like bathing, grooming, etc can be purchased at an additional cost. They also have a whole bunch of web cams set up around the facility, so you can log on to the website at any time and check out what's going on. It definitely gave us peace of mind. Up-to-date vaccinations are required at the time of boarding. The staff here are all very friendly, professional, and they actually care about animals. read more
