I don't recommend pawjama party kennel to anyone who loves their pets! I had dropped off my two beloved dogs and I felt uneasy to do so, as it was their first time ever staying overnight away from home. When I was shown where they'd be staying I really didn't feel comfortable in what they had put them in. It was a very small concrete area. I ended up having them placed in the 10x10 suite for three nights. Well, when I picked them up he was crusty with pee and smelled of ammonia, because it was so bad. His sister wasn't that bad compared to him. I asked if they could be bathed, but they said the groomer wasn't in, so instead the owner tried to clean him with baby wipes. That was a joke, as it was down to his skin! I had a long drive ahead with them and when I got to my destination I immediately gave him a shower! His one paw was bleeding because the urine burned his skin! I highly do not recommend anyone taking their pets here, as they seem to not care about the welfare of any animals! Then they use a choker rope lease on them, that was clearly choking my male dog to the point of him gasping for air..... Stay away from this place!!!!! read more

If I could give higher than 5 stars, I would do so! I have used Pawjama Party Kennels since they opened for business. I previously boarded my Rottie and now my German Shepherd. The staff does anything in their power to care for your pups. My Rottie is now deceased, but they both would have jumped out of my car and went into the building on their own if they could. I wouldn't trust my dogs with anyone else. To those of you who were denied kenneling because your dog didn't have their shot records, that's plainly listed in their rules. If your dog was sent home because they were vicious, get some training! read more

I have been really contemplating posting this review for this kennel, because the situation shook me and my family to the core. If you have pups that have the label of "aggressive" I would not recommend this kennel. This kennel communicated very well, texted us and called us throughout the extremely short stay. But I have to say, the unprofessionalism and petty customer service they have regarding dogs/dogcare is disappointing. My spouse and I had high hopes for this kennel, since all of the reviews are fantastic. But we were mistaken. Let me break it down for you: We received a call 24 hours after the drop off of our two dogs, (the day before Thanksgiving Day) that the kennel can no longer take care of my older dog, since he was being "too aggressive", aka jumping, and biting the leashes, humping, growling, etc. Mind you, we communicated to their staff at drop off that our older dog is a rescue and has anxiety but also gets excited, and that it can come off as aggressiveness. Side note: our older dog has been boarded before, and heard nothing but good things about him throughout that stay and had no problems. Again, we communicated to the staff present during drop off, to the point during said interaction that my spouse literally got out of the car and spoke to two staff members. As relayed, they gave him reassurance that they are "capable of taking care of those kinds of dogs, and have done it in the past with a super aggressive German Shepherd." The older woman who called us the day before Thanksgiving, left us with no other solution than to get our older dog, and that they "just can't do it anymore". But they had "no problem" with keeping our younger dog. For an owner of two Pitbulls, being literal states away, a whole time zone, and it being the day before Thanksgiving, I was not too pleased to hear that. I admit, I was angry and frustrated at the older woman that had "40 years of experience", to be so willing to let a dog go 24 hours after drop off and wait until the last minute for a solution. And I apologize for the harsh language used, but any pet owner would be just as frustrated in this situation. Regarding this secondary phone call, the first being told that they cannot care of for the dogs, they finally came up with a solution. It was stated that our older dog be separated completely. He would have a kennel that would be covered and have a grass area, where he could be self sufficient for the next 5 days. With no interaction from anyone. With the initial phone call being told that they cannot take care of our dogs, and then the second having a "solution" that would isolate your dog, who in their right mind would want that? And is that the correct care/service that I am paying for? But, after my unneeded language and attitude (which again I apologize for) the older woman said that the solution was no longer available. It was stated that I needed to have someone come pick up the dogs at 6:00 PM SHARP, which was in 30 minutes. Again, we were states away and in another time zone, the day before Thanksgiving; and having little to no friends and family available at the last second. Fun times, fun times. Overall, the whole situation was not ideal for not only myself and everyone involved, but also my dogs. I was under the impression that my dogs would have the upmost care in this facility, and was COMPLETELY blindsided about this. I understand that they were trying to "protect" their staff, but don't blame the dog itself. (Ah, yes, the person on the phone kept lecturing that it isn't the "breed", its the "dog". As if, I don't take care of both, every day of my life, but go off.) Given the circumstances with not being able to board my dogs, having someone come pick them up at "6:00 PM SHARP" the day before Thanksgiving, be rushing to have another kennel reservation in such short notice, and worry about the safety and well-being of my two dogs at this place, should rub any pet owner or pet kennel owner the wrong way. My husband and I took our two pups, a two year old and a 6 month old, to basic obedience class and were very pleased with the results. The trainers have a tremendous amount of experience and it showed by how we were able to transform our dogs into good canine citizens in 6 -12 weeks. You get a training book, health and grooming tips, homework and support all along the way. We also felt very safe in class and confident the trainers had control of the situation and of all the other dogs (and owners). It was a great bonding experience between us and our pets and fun too! read more

Don't use Pawjama Party Kennels in pevely to board your dogs! My mom showed up to drop Hurley off this morning and the lady told her she had no record of our reservation. She then was able to find our emails, but said the attachment of our shot records weren't there. She showed my mom the emails, but refused to actually click and open them. I then took a screenshot of the original email I had sent her and suddenly she could see it(because she actually clicked to open it). She said she could keep him now but he would be in a 3x5 box of a room until Monday. So I had my mom take him back home. Hurley is 55 pounds, keeping him in a room that small is pretty much abuse in my opinion. Ridiculous!! read more

They won't take your dog but they'll take your money! Was told my dog couldn't stay because she was too scared. I informed them that she was skiddish around strangers but would open up. They continued to harass her after putting her in her "room" until she barked at them. Got charged $50 though. They don't give the dogs a bed or blanket. The dogs at the pound are better off. I'm glad it didn't work out with them. read more

I have used this for both grooming and obedience classes for our furbabies highly recommend their services! Loki looked so pretty and felt so good afterwards that he actually pranced after his grooming sessions! He also dazzled during obedience classes. To make a long story short, I could not get an appt. for awhile for a cut, for my adopted from shelter Maltipoo. I got a neck injury, and was in a lot of pain, and did the best I could. My dog had some mats on her neck and I told them that, and that it had gotten away from me, altho I had bathed the dog, cleaned her eye boogers, trimmed her nails, and tried to get the mats out. I did not want to take her to a different groomer because she already "knew" this one and I did not want to drop her off in another strange place for 6 hours. When I finally got a bath appt, they would not do it due to mats even tho I had told them that. Then they had a cancellation and got me in for a cut. After I paid, including extra for the mats, and a tip, they told me the dog had bad neck mats and 2 dead ticks. They said it bordered on abuse. I explained the entire situation, again, about how I had been injured and had done the best I could, and that as a vet tech, I would never, ever, ever abuse an animal. They had commented that the dog was afraid of loud noises. Yeah, she had been a stray during hurricane Ida, and was very scared. I had been bending over backwards to love and care for this dog, and ease her fears. I was so hurt and insulted by these comments, that I could abuse this dog that I loved, I called and cancelled my future appts, and explained why the dog was afraid of noises, as I thought they thought I was abusing the dog. I felt they were so condescending and insulting that I will never go back. I will learn to cut my dogs hair myself. read more

Our dog was sent home with poop caked in her fur. Do not use this kennel! Our girl Lola was returned to us with two layers of poop on her bottom. One of the ladies at the front desk told my husband that she had loose stool. That, we understand. I realize that being in a kennel can be difficult for animals and can cause stomach issues. However, fact that she was neglected to the point of having poop caked on her bottom is completely unacceptable. Obviously, I was very upset when my husband brought her home. When I called, the manager apologized and said that if we brought her back, they would clean her. First of all, I do not trust these people so, I did not want to bring her back and secondly, my husband had already started to bathe Lola and was cutting poop out of her fur. If Lola had been properly cared for (as the manager kept telling me),she would have been in the condition that she was in. Also, we have used them before without issue and are patients of Jones anAnimal Clinic. We will not return to this kennel again. We are highly disappointed with this kennel as we felt so comfortable when dropping her off. read more
