Gia Marie on the right, adopted Dec. 2020. Read Angela K reviews

Yes, it took a little time to get things processed but it was worth the wait. Having lost my little 8 lb Chihuahua , leaving the mate dispondent , we started a search for another dog to keep her company. I made appointment and saw a few, but the one who caught my eye wasn't what I was looking for but our eyes locked and I was hooked. I made 2 more appointments to see her and play with her. I was in love, so , they did background on me, called my 2 best friends and finally a month later ( Ana has another job) she came to my home and asked a lot of questions about us. I was impressed with it because dhe truly cares for the babies. "Gia" came with updated shots, registry with a lost and found place , her leashes and bathed. It's been a year now and I am still I love with Gia Marie, this was the name she gave her and we kept it. Thank you Ana!

They sold me a puppy that was supposed to be a purebred shih tzu but it is not. We purchased what…read morewe were told was a purebred shih tzu which was my dream dog and a birthday present from my husband and three children. We took the "shih tzu" to the vet for a routine check and our vet told us by no means is this puppy a purebred shih tzu and advised us to do a reputable dna test like wisdom panel or embark testing. We ordered the wisdom panel a reputable dna test that is 98% effective and discovered The puppy is mixed with seven breeds and is 51% bichon Frise and only %28 shih tzu. We Drove two hours south with my family on my birthday for a puppy we were told was a purebred and is actually a mixed breed. He came with registration papers but that means nothing because the commercial breeder can easily lie and say any puppy is the offspring of whatever 100 plus parents they own out in the midwest. We Spoke to associate in their store to share the dna test we discovered and explained how upset we were about it and she blew us off we asked to speak to the owners and they said they wouldn't talk to us . Manager wouldn't get on the phone just sent us a text message and wouldn't even get on the phone to resolve the issue just blew us off in text and wouldn't help us after we sent her the dna results of our puppy being mixed with seven different breeds and being 51% bichon frise when he is supposed to be a purebred shih tzu! After them not trying to help us we decided to leave a review because of the scam and we with conscience want other customers not to fall prey to this because it's just wrong. The store didn't want to make it right and they misrepresented the breed. After reporting the store to the usda the store then decided they want to give us what we previously asked us for which is a refund But with dangerous terms that protect them and could potentially hurt us the innocent customer they wronged. the store they want us to sign a lawyer document to keep our mouths shut and remove our truthful review and that if they suspect that someone is reviewing them badly and that they think it is us that they will sue us! We are the victims here and we will not be signing their document because we don't want to be wrongfully and accused by these people to get what they rightfully owe us which is a refund. After reporting them to the usda they had to take all of their puppies to the vet to get rechecked and get new health certificates because they were not working with usda accredited vet. I would recommend not buying a puppy from them because they aren't transparent and want to play victim when they are misrepresenting breeds and ultimately lying to customers. I have all the documentation and proof of the puppy not being purebred and documentation from the USDA of the complaint.

I had never been to an animal shelter before. I didn't know what to expect, so I was a bit nervous…read more The facilities here are modern and clean. You sign in at the front desk and then freely roam to look at animals. I didn't explore the dog areas, but there are several areas of cats, separated by fosters, kittens fresh from getting spayed/neutered, and older cats. Beware: you will want to take all of them home. There wasn't that many people there when I went, so I was able to spend a lot of time getting to know the kitties. I fell in love with a little tortie, but was worried when I saw that she had enlarged mammary glands (her lil tummy was shaved from her recent spaying). A worker in the cat room went above and beyond to help. She explained that the cat had probably recently had a litter and her milk hadn't dried up yet. But, just to make sure, without me even asking, she took the kitty back to get examined by their doctor. After confirming what I had been told, I scooped up that lil girl and adopted her ASAP. The adoption process was easy. Just a head's up: if the address on your ID is different than your current address, bring another thing with your current address on it (I used my car registration). When I went, the shelter had a promotion going on, sponsored by the Bissell Pet Foundation, so the adoption was free. Plus spaying/neutering, Broward County pet registration tag, microchip, and all necessary vaccinations are always included here when you adopt. I also got a cute "Gotcha Day" certificate and a free cardboard "cat-eau" :D Overall, I had a great experience adopting a new kitty from Broward County Animal Care and highly recommend that you check them out if you're looking for a new animal baby :)

They prey on emotionally vulnerable owners. We approached them when we were overwhelmed by our 12-week-old puppy Maximillian's severe BOAS (breathing issues) and Giardia. The operator, Desiree, used intense scare tactics over text, telling us his breathing was "really really bad" and that he needed immediate emergency surgery, coercing us into signing a surrender form under a completely fake/unregistered business name ("Coco Chanel's Kennel").The MOMENT they took physical possession of the puppy and his medical records, they wiped his history clean, left his story blank, and listed him on Adopt-a-Pet as a "perfectly healthy puppy" to flip him for a fast adoption fee. When confronted with the fraud, she told us to "stop texting her," threatened to block us, and manually marked him as "Adopted" to hide the listing from compliance tracking. They also rushed to reactivate their legally dissolved corporate status on Sunbiz at midnight just to cover their tracks. Reports have been filed with Broward County Animal Care, FDACS, and local law enforcement for grand theft under false pretenses and charity fraud (EIN: 88-2421333). Stay far away from these predators!
