Paws 2 Care is an incredible organization- they are a testament to what a small group of dedicated individuals can accomplish. I have adopted both of my dogs from Paws 2 Care Coalition- Penny, a stray in Miami, was so badly abused that she would try to bite anyone; Lala was tied up in someone's back yard with a bad case of mange. With their small, one-room building and fenced yard, they are working miracles for "unadoptable", sick, injured, lost, or stray dogs. They also pull dogs from high-kill shelters. Their number one priority is the dogs and this shows in everything they do. If you are looking for a wonderful local rescue to support, Paws 2 Care is it! Yes, it took a little time to get things processed but it was worth the wait. Having lost my little 8 lb Chihuahua , leaving the mate dispondent , we started a search for another dog to keep her company. I made appointment and saw a few, but the one who caught my eye wasn't what I was looking for but our eyes locked and I was hooked. I made 2 more appointments to see her and play with her. I was in love, so , they did background on me, called my 2 best friends and finally a month later ( Ana has another job) she came to my home and asked a lot of questions about us. I was impressed with it because dhe truly cares for the babies. "Gia" came with updated shots, registry with a lost and found place , her leashes and bathed. The reason none of the dogs are ever ready is because they are stolen dogs. If they get a dog and the family finds them they get fake documents made up showing the opposite of the information you gave about your dog. This place is bizarre by far. They need to be shut down. I pray they are shut down sooner than later. Before you get a dog from there please search social media for the family thats probably searching for there dog. I dont know if anyone else has noticed but there sure seems to be alot more dogs innthose little crates than they have up for adoption??? read more

I highly discourage anyone to consider Paws 2 Care Coalition as a reputable agency to adopt a dog from. Not only was I given misinformation about a dog I was interested in, Ana was EXTREMELY rude about the fact my friend and myself were lied to. My friend inquired about a dog and was told she would be available in a few weeks once she went to the vet a few more times to be chipped, etc. Ana then said that she was "not even available and I'm not sure why someone would tell you that". There's no reason for this misinformation. My friend turned down being approved by other agencies because one of the employees or volunteers told him Jenna was up for adoption. read more

I traveled all the way from Sunrise, FL (40 min drive) to visit the establishment and every dog I picked out for possible adoption, the lady advised Me the dog wasn't ready (I feel like if they're not ready, why have them out for show)? I was very disappointed with this adoption agency I first found out about them at the Pet Smart in Pembroke Pines, and I wanted to adopt a puppy they had Later, I visited their actual location to see the puppy once more, right after my visit (same day) I filled out the application to adopt her, and emailed the owner as well about my visit I followed up with her on a weekly basis for about 3 weeks, this owner takes FOREVER! to reply I felt desperate sending her emails and texts and leaving her voicemails on a weekly basis but I wanted the puppy that bad 3 weeks later she sends me a long email about how she cannot give me the puppy and she used some excuse about the application being incomplete I am willing to give a puppy a good home and because she was so unprofessional and unresponsive i will not be adopting from her it is sad that she has all these puppies sitting in cages for months without giving them a good home read more

I can't even give them a fraction of a star. We made an appointment and confirmed twice to meet Birdie. Arrived over 1 hour early due to us wanting to avoid traffic. Upon arrival we couldn't see the dogs until 3:30 not a minute earlier. Lady who helped us (not Ana) was lovely, however complete hate and switch as she immediately informed us Birdie was approved to another family. She proceeded to show us her other 4 siblings really fell in love w Isabella. Immediately applied as answered all questions truthfully. We have 2 5 yr old rat mix females (rescued). We take take if our paw babies and are beyond spoiled. They completely run the house. They receive VIP Vet care and only the best food. We have a fenced yard and the means to care for any puppy. Our visit was 12/1/21 and only late mast night she replied to one of our many texts stating "application denied" due to our girls not being up to date w their vaccines (ABSOLUTELY INCORRECT) we even sent her the records when we received the denial. Also mentioned "we don't adopt dogs to be caged or live in a garage". Yet again taken fully out of context. On the application it asks if dogs are to be ever alone where would they be kept? Our answer was "at maximum she would be kept in her own kennel for no longer than 4 hrs" Again our garage is an extension of our home fully insulated and has ac as it doubles as our gym and laundry area. No cars are ever in there. We attempted to contact Ana to see if she would reconsider asking her to just follow thru w VCA, our personal references and even to come and do a home visit unannounced. Her response was "NO". We are heartbroken and in total shock that a "none profit" who alleges to be pet advocates, & want to place wouldn't do the proper due diligence. Not a call to us or anyone. Now let describe the site! Store front all dogs are kenneled fir the exception of 3 of the puppies who were in a playpen. The place is dingy and smelled of pee. Very disappointed that they dishonest and unprofessional with us from the start. Out of 18-19 dogs all were caged w the exception of 3 so much for being an advocate and not wanting to place w anyone who would "kennel". Our dogs are 13 & 22 lbs and their kennels are for large dogs (100lbs) why do I kennel? Between our housekeeper leaving and me arriving home they go in their "house" doubled Orthopaedics mattresses w blankets w ac and tv on for them. Our girls like many other pets who have been "house trained" are comfortable and feel safe in their house doors are open and the go in/out at their will. Completely heartbroken, offended and unprofessional! Don not trust! read more

My wife and I went into the adoption center, were told the dog we wanted was still available. We filled out the application the same night, sent texts, called, emailed almost every day after waiting for an update. Received nothing except messages telling us to keep waiting for our application to be reviewed. A little over a week later, we see on Facebook that the dog we wanted has been adopted by someone else. Very upsetting working with this private adoption agency. The owner posts pictures of adoptable dogs but and you must contact her and fill out an application, but after doing this and going to the shelter to personally meet the dog we were emailing and texting for over a week with no response, finally I went to the shelter again and was given a time to go adopt the dog by one of the volunteers, just hours before the owner called with some lame application excuses that I proved wrong and was told we could not adopt the dog. Ana the owner would rather have the dogs live in cages rather than go to loving homes. Beware of adopting or donating to this agency. read more

I adopted my Dog from Ana 6 years ago. He was a real stinker and I knew I would have some issues. But I assured Ana, that I was an experienced dog owner. Morty was being fostered and I went to visit him and she told me he bites. Well he did not bite me and we bonded right away. I was actually looking for another Beagle, but when I saw his picture on social media, I knew he was for me. Ana is amazing, she works full time and still manages to have this rescue. Her volunteers are very dedicated and she is very picky with whom she adopts too. I am also so surprised how she manages to fin the owners of lost dogs. She must have a magic power. Just be patient as her rescue is all volunteer, but her dogs are great. I cannot wait for my next adoption. read more

My fiancé and I went here to try to adopt a new member to our family! There were many things that should have been red flags. 1) There is no business/organization phone number or contact information. All business is done through Ana's personal cell phone or email which she rarely responds to. 2) When we decided to go to their facility to meet the pup we were interested in, we showed up to an abandon looking building that had zero signage. It was impossible to tell if we were even at the right place. It felt very sketchy. The door was locked, so we knocked and a woman, volunteer, barely peered her head out of the door. It was awkward and uncomfortable. Long story short we loved the puppy we met and we're definitely interested. On the website, it says that once you submit an application for a dog, it will be reviewed within 3-5 days. We applied, and 3 weeks later still had not even been notified that our application was received. My fiancé and I emailed and texted Ana multiple times, she usually would not respond, but if she did, she was very short, full of excuses and no answers. It has now been over a month and we've pretty much given up. I would never recommend this facility, mainly because of the woman in charge. read more

I also am very disappointed in the way this rescue is being run. I found a beautiful Terrier Mix that would fit just right in my home with my other dog. I did everything I was asked to do and waited, waited and waited. They don't answer the company phone and are very hard to deal with. FINALLY, after 3 weeks I received an e-mail saying I am being turned down because MY dog has not been fixed - the adoptable dog was fixed AND he was a male! I still can't believe I was turned down. Meanwhile all their animals are stuck in cages! There are SO MANY dogs that need homes you would think they would be happy to see one more find a happy home! I finally found a rescue dog from Puerto Rico at the Humane Society and took her home the next day - AND for less than HALF what Paws2care was charging. Don't get bitten. The lady from Paws 2 Care Coalition thinks she is the Pet Police and the Pet Judge, while using unlawful procedures. Everything was perfect until we lost our dog in our neighborhood. Unfortunately, with the excitement of a new dog in the house, we forgot to update the dog's chip. That is why immediately after losing the dog, we contacted Paws 2 Care Coalition to inform them about the unfortunate situation, and it was obvious, that they were the ones who would receive the call. Since the Chip had Paws 2 Care Coalition's information on it. Their immediate reaction was insulting and offensive. The lady was fuming toward us because we had forgotten to update the dog's chip information. She treated us like she was the pet police, the pet judge, and then, the executer. She then went to judged us and blamed us, without even knowing the circumstances how the dog was lost. After we scanned the neighborhood several times over this episode with flyers, and having alerted Paws 2 Care Coalition, we only hoped to find him soon. But how could we? The dog had already been picked up! We later found out, the lady from Paws 2 Care Coalition (which we had alerted and had been texting with us since we lost the dog), had received the "PET FOUND" call, AS PREDICTED, and she had the nerve to come (Allegedly, two houses away from our home) arranged to pick up the dog, and take him away from us to the shelter. She informed us about her actions a day later. She obviously had another thing in mind... She had no legal right to pick up the dog. Her duty was LIMITED to notify the owners of the dog about the findings, PERIOD. She coldly hid the fact that the dog had been found. She coldly acted on the opportunity to snatch the dog from us. Then, she accused us of losing the dog and not loving him over the phone, on social media, and via text. We only had the dog for four months. You have not heard the last of us... read more

We adopted a beagle "Jimmy" from Paws 2 Care (P2C) and became the rightful legal owner pursuant to same. On Saturday morning, June 20, 2015, it was discovered Jimmy had dug a hole and escaped underneath the fence. We immediately began searching for Jimmy, posting flyers throughout the neighborhood, and continued to frantically search for Jimmy throughout the day and until dusk. On Saturday evening, we contacted Paws 2 Care notifying them that Jimmy was lost. It was not until the Sunday morning that Paws 2 Care acknowledged they picked up Jimmy from a home a mere two doors down from us, and Paws 2 Care did not even knock on our door or called to notify that Jimmy was safe. In fact, Paws 2 Care put Jimmy up for adoption without us even knowing his whereabouts or that Paws 2 Care was in his possession. This was confirmed via Paws 2 Care's Facebook page. The utter lack of professionalism, fair dealing, and business ethic that P2C has displayed is deplorable. Despite us being the legal and rightful owner of Jimmy, Paws 2 Care sequestered him while failing to provide us with any notice whatsoever that Jimmy had been found to which it has a legal duty and obligation and to which we are entitled pursuant to Florida Law. "It is unlawful for any person who finds any lost or abandoned property to appropriate the same to his or her own use and any person who unlawfully appropriates such lost or abandoned property to his or her own use commits theft as defined in s. 812.014, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084 of the Florida Statutes." To any detached fact-finder, Paws 2 Care's course of dealing and complete disregard for the very rights of the legal owner of the dog would present a clear case of negligence, breach of duty, intentional misrepresentation, and bad faith. As a direct and proximate result of Paws 2 Care's negligent and unlawful acts, we have sustained damages. read more

Excellent place to teach your child about heartbreak and disappointment & to give you the pleasure of watching your normally happy child cry. The staff, not particularly friendly, watches you & your child bond with a dog for several days and then offhandedly tells you that someone else is taking it. If you want to bond with a dog & then wait indefinitely, without even the courtesy of being contacted that your application was received, this is your place. If you want to find a dog and actually adopt it, go to the Humane Society in N. Miami Beach (Sofer Pet Adoption Center). And, from a donation standpoint, this place looks totally inefficient, amateurish, and downright wasteful. I am pretty sure that the ratio of every dollar raised to dogs adopted is several thousand % higher at there than at this place. The dogs also seemed to be much better cared for at the Sofer Adoption Center. Adoption also costs less there and comes with many more "extras". read more
