I was not happy with the way they cut my shihtzu's hair, I had to come home and trim her face, the did a choppy joh on her head, did not trim the ears as I requested. I will not go there again, My appt was at 12, they advised they will not get to her to 230pm( that should've been a sign not to go go back), I took my dog home and returned at 230 as I wasn'tgoing to leave my dog for21/2 hours in an unknown place. I dropped my dog off for her appt. at 12noon for a bath, deshed and nail trim. Three hours past and still no text that she was ready. When I went back to inquire about it, I was told that she wasn't ready only to find out they did nothing with her yet and she was in a cage for 3hrs .... no food or water. I asked if they at least trimmed her nails? NO. The groomer came out and said she had an employee who went home sick with COVID! I couldn't believe how they left my little girl in a cage for 3hrs, it made me sick how they treated her. They should've called me and rescheduled. She did take her back and trim her nails. and offered a free bath if i brought her back the next day!! NO DANG WAY. And if that employee has covid they should be closed down!!! read more

We love this place! Our 1 year old Goldendoodle has been coming since she was a puppy. Mindy did her first groom and every groom since. She is responsive to what you want done and she does an outstanding job! She must be kind and gentle since our dog loves going there!! Very reasonable price. Highly recommend. read more

I took my dog here for baths for about a year. They did a good job getting her clean and tidy. Price was good too. Only thing was it took a while to get an appointment. Parking can be a bit tight. Here's the issue I have right now....I called for an appointment for my dog last week and was told that they're not taking dogs that are her size. She's 60 lb. They scared our 12 year Rosco that weights 95 so bad he shit standing up why they were cutting his nails. My daughter offer to go back and help why they cut them instead they muzzle him. Which was the 1st time he was ever muzzled. Then up charged her because it took an extra person and did not even clean him up after. I am writing a quick update to my previous review just to state that on the first and third Mondays-of the month they offer services exclusively for cats so as to avoid stress inducing dogs for your kitties. Out of all of our cats we have one who is a sweet boy mostly but who goes wild when we try to clip his claws. For eight dollars we are more than happy to have them do it once a month. read more

My chihuahua is a little scoundrel and refuses to let me clip his nails, so after years of getting my hand bit, I decided to find a groomer to do it for us. This place is conveniently placed in downtown Eustis with a very friendly staff & fair pricing. It is totally worth the price every month to not have to wash him myself or get nipped for trying to trim his nails. They also have a cute little shop with dog accessories, treats & food! Do not bring your dogs here. I've taken both of my puppies here and the groomer was late both times. Then after I brought them home and was petting them I began noticing a little flea on one of their noses. I then gave them a bath that same night and low and behold, both dogs had fleas. They've never had fleas up until the afternoon after bringing them here. Now I'm in an annoying, expensive battle of ridding my dogs and my house of fleas. Thanks so much paws and effect. read more

Do not take your animal here. To start with, the prices are higher than stated on the website. When told that I was annoyed, but my dog really needed to be groomed and I was there. When dropping off my dog, the woman asked me what exactly I wanted done. I told her specifics about the length and how I wanted her ears shaped, etc. When I picked up my dog, the groomer didn't listen to anything I said. The length, the ears, the tail, etc. Yes, everything seemed clean and done well but why bother asking me if they are going to do whatever they want anyway. I didn't sit there and nitpick because my dog had already been there for four hours and it was pouring outside so we just wanted to get out of there and get home. While petting my dog that evening, I noticed irritation on her belly. My sister and I thought it was just that...her skin a bit irritated but then examining further found fleas and more spots of irritation. She did not have any of that before bringing her there. So now I just imagine my poor little pup sitting in some dirty cage for hours getting bitten by bugs. There were also places of redness due to, what looked like, shaving her too close to the skin. I feel so bad for going to that place and I will never subject my dog to that again. read more

We have lived in Florida for almost 5 years with 3 Westies and a Chihuahua. Every groomer we've taken our Westies to cannot groom them properly. The last groomer we went to, she tranquilized our Westies without telling us. They were really spooked when we picked them up. So, driving around Eustis we saw Paws & Effects. We made appt for all three. Two went the first time and the third went the second time. We we awed and completely satisfied when we picked them up. They groomed them the way a Westie is supposed to look. We finally found a groomer that knows what they are doing. read more
