My dog was there for 3 and a half days they sent me pictures every day showing me how well he was doing. Also, my dog doesn't usually eat when I'm not around. I was a little concerned about that, but lo and behold those guys got him to eat. I was never so happy to pick my little guy up and he was happy to see me too. But the best part was that during my short vacation, I could relax knowing that my little guy was being well taken care of. if you're looking for a place for your dog I promise you, you will not be disappointed in the care your dog gets when he/she is here. We are grateful to James of BB who placed us with Jenna. Our boys issues: high reactivity outside, especially other dogs, and inside, door bell, ring cameras, etc. Coupled with greetings by jumping and owning the house. Jenna set us on a path of activities for inside and was incredibly patient letting me share and ask questions, learning constantly. As we fine-tuned and we all got more comfortable we moved our training to outside. The methodology used is absolutely amazing and, I dare say, short of a miracle. We practice regularly and introduce the boys to different circumstances. All that food luring and positive food reinforcement training certainly has its place but only the techniques of BB with Jenna has helped our boys become trusting, comfortable, and happy. Here I thought I had to scan the horizon constantly to be aware of incoming dogs to prepare myself to hide behind a car or go in the corner behind garbage cans to get maximum distance. Not true. I walk no longer with my head on a lazy susan. We all are forever grateful. Our boys can lead richer more social lives. Thank you!!!

As first-time dog owners, the early support really did help us. Having someone we could call during those overwhelming first months was a relief. Over time, though, I realized I was hoping the training would shift toward more positive reinforcement. The constant, harsher corrections worked at first but eventually didn't seem effective anymore and started affecting my relationship with Mimi. I noticed this during a family trip where Mimi, who is usually fearful of strangers, bonded more easily with my husband and his family. She gravitated toward them when scared, and I realized it might be because they weren't following the correction-heavy approach, while I was. I also asked for help with Mimi's fear and reactivity toward other dogs, but was told they didn't have dogs available for training and that I would need to bring a calm, socialized dog myself. As a non-trainer, that was very hard, but we tried by traveling many hours to introduce her to my husband's family dog. The experience ended up being chaotic since the family didn't fully understand what the process required, and new people and dogs kept appearing even though Mimi wasn't ready. Her reactivity came back in that environment, which made me feel like the training had only put a bandaid on deeper fear issues. Maybe I should have clarified expectations better from the start, but with a high-need dog and being new to all of this, I didn't know what to expect. Since then, we've switched to a positive reinforcement trainer who organizes structured group activities. Mimi is still scared of bigger dogs and can still be reactive, but she's improving slowly and has been able to meet a few smaller dogs. She's also still fearful of people, but she nips a lot less now, so progress is happening. Overall, Bark Busters helped us in the beginning, but long-term we found that a different, more positive approach has been a better fit for Mimi.

Jeffrey is a male lab mix and was 10 months old when he came to stay with me. When Jeffrey came to stay with me, I already had Koda, a male chow-huskie mix, four years old. About two months into his stay, Jeffrey became my forever dog. Also, at about that same time, Jeffrey and Koda began to get into some bad fights that needed human intervention to stop. My friend had taken her dog to Devotion to Dogs with great results, so I took Jeffrey for training. Jeffrey completed his training about one month ago and no fights with Koda have occurred after the training. Josh was great with Jeffrey and did Jeffrey's home visit. I am grateful and thankful to Josh and the whole team at Devotion to Dogs!!

I would definitely recommend and refer Tonya if you would like to see quick results. Our main concern for our puppy is him pulling his leash during walks and Tonya was able to help our puppy with that before the end of our session. By the end of the session, we could already see a big difference. We still have to keep it up with him and constantly train with him, but my husband and I were already able to see a huge difference. We're very happy with the progress our puppy has made by the end of our session. I am definitely going to be signing up for another session for our puppy.

Also, immediately following the Pug-walks with Kay, my Louigi was not out of breath, even though the weather was very sunny and hot (Pugs have a definite tendency of overheating). Kay consciously followed my exact directions, in order to find the perfect location, for my Pug to have a nice and shady route, every time. Also, Kay acknowledged the items of concern, which I had emailed to her, immediately prior to the initial scheduled dog-walk (at my front-door). Thank you very much, Kay!!! Kay is very compassionate and has a very positive disposition. Kay is very reasonable about everything and has a very competitive rate. I found Kay online and she offered to do a free meet & greet to make sure we're compatible. Bandit is a reactive dog on a leash, which means he lunges and whines/barks at other dogs on walks. It was really hard for me to find a walker that could take on all 60lbs (lean mass) of him. It was doggy love at first sight, he was super excited to meet her and was really chill with us chatting. I quickly schedule a dog walk for the next morning. Bandit had loads of fun on his dog walk and he was pretty much pooped afterward. Like bro! It was only 30 mins. Kay is definitely now our regular dog walker.

We went with the board + train option and are so glad we did! We received multiple updates a day with pictures, videos, and progress updates letting us know what training and commands were being worked on that day. We also had some diarrhea issues with our pup recently and Lauren was nice enough to try different foods with our girl to see what worked with her stomach and what didnt (something we were too scared to do lol), and once we were back home, Lauren came and dropped our pup off at our house so she could do an in-home training session with us to go over all of the training she got, which was such an awesome bonus.
