Special shoutout to the smarmy manager who, previous to our conversation, I heard mocking a man who just had to return something because his cat died, and the "manager" was laughing about it with fellow employees. Real class, dude. The basic gist is we paid for our large breed dog grooming, and when they brought him out, we immediately noticed they hadn't trimmed his ears and knots were hanging off (hack-job?) Then I looked inside, and they hadn't even cleaned his ears (which they had proudly checked off on his discharge papers). His back end also looked uneven, like they hadn't finished brushing him when they tried to trim him? His feet were neatly done. We showed the gal who brought him out, and she seemed to agree, but offered no apology and said we'd have to wait another 35 minutes for someone to come back from lunch (though it would've taken her 5 minutes, tops, right then). Fast forward post-lunch, and rather than apologizing, she tried to gaslight us by saying, "well, you didn't ask for us to do his ears," and I'm like, "you literally checked it off as done." More shenanigans, and the smarmy manager who'd been watching us waiting approached during lunch and also tried to mansplain dog grooming to us. "Well, you have to tell us what you want done," and I'm thinking, do I have to tell McDonald's how to make a hamburger?! You all do grooming as a business, and there should be a standard of training that people go through before working on animals and a set list of things they do. We weren't even asking for a refund or trying to remove the tip. But a "my bad" would've gone a long way. And a "let me fix my mistake real quick" would've gone further. But no accountability and a crappy manager who wouldn't leave it alone and walk away when we were done talking about it means we will NEVER go back or give this company any money. So, now you've been warned. If you choose to go there, be sure to have a full checklist including "wash dog with shampoo" and "brush all 4 of his legs" and then go over the list with a red Sharpie before you pay.

With my dog Riley, they take extra care with getting him settled in and adjusted because he developed a bit of separation anxiety after the pandemic. They always have him looking his best after his every six weeks grooming. To make it easier for me (not having to call for an appointment) they've been booking him out every six weeks for the entire year. It is so easy for me to remember, and they do such a great job with him. I cannot say enough how much trust I have in Lisa and her team at Top Notch. If he needs to be boarded, I know he is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.

She stated that our dog would need a muzzle and that she would return with literary information. We never saw her again, no call, nothing. Our dog is now 7 and lives a full life. She is playful and affectionate. I guess our dog is a good judge of character. I think this business cares more about the dollar than the dogs. I do not recommend this business.

I have never had any issues with how they have cared for my dog over the years. My dog always looks healthy, cared for and excited to come home. They used to have hours posted, but have since changed their hours to appointment only. Although I have never utilized their training services, I have heard good things about their training methods. The classes are also held in a parking lot, depending on the location, which wasn't ideal. After this experience, I found some free online classes that were more effective. I regret paying for the service we received and wouldn't recommend this place unless they take this feedback constructively. Hopefully, both the owner and some of the trainers can work on improving their people skills.
