We have a little senior guy who loves other doggo's but doesn't have any teeth to defend himself, so it has been really difficult to find a boarder for him to be safe. Even having friends who he is familiar with staying at the house hasn't worked out. Insert Doggy Lama. We did a trial run of boarding with Molly, and he passed so we were able to schedule a weeklong vacation knowing he would have the best time. He got to hang out with some other senior dogs and have long walks in the wilderness and lots of doggo time. Molly kept us posted daily with pictures of our little man being a dog. Last year, I decided to opt for a mobile vet service and it worked out well. Fast forward a few weeks ago, walking around the lake and I stumble upon this sign advertising affordable nail trims and pet walks for the fur babies. Immediately, I went to Yelp to check them out and verify if they were legit and the reviews put me at ease. I decided to contact Teairra a couple of days ago about doing my baby's nail trim and she talked me through the expectations of the process and I was on board ( I would need to hold my baby while she did the nail trim- my baby does not like me to hold her- SIGH) Needless to say, I had major anxiety. She showed up yesterday, on time- and had such a calming presence about her while I explained Lucy's background with strangers. Immediately, she came in talking very softly slowly gaining Lucy's trust with treats and sniffs. She showed me how to wrap Lucy in a burrito like style while she trimmed her nails and I kissed Lucy's nose. She exuded great kindness and patience. After, she sat by Lucy feeding her treats to continuously gain her trust even after the visit. My latest sitters Bill and Nancy are wonderful with my 3 cats. My cats are very shy, and I know that Bill or Nancy do everything they can to respect that and try to make a connection with them on their visits. Sometimes one of the cats might want to play or get petted or maybe not. They are always well cared for and I can relax on my trips knowing they are in the best hands. They want to know in detail every detail of the routine, so they can make sure things are normal as expected for the kitties. When I get home there is a handwritten letter on my table from the sitter, telling me welcome home and some stories of how it went while I was gone. The founder/owner Wendy is one of the nicest most caring people I have ever met. Her love of animals and her experience and knowledge is obvious and as a pet-parent that gives me peace of mind.
