She keeps me informed daily with photos and details of how my cats were doing via text message or whatsApp [when out of the country]. Kristen is easy to communicate with, personable, and gets along well with both animals and people. My cats adore her, even my skittish one. My parents have fun when she visits. I think one thing that made it difficult finding a cat sitter was that my elderly parents would still be at home during the visits, but Kristin had no hesitation when I mentioned that to her. My family first started using their dog walking services after I'd had my second baby. A friend set up a "meal train" of sorts and instead of meals, friends could sign up to treat us with a walk for our dog. This was an atypical request, but Kristen didn't hesitate to chat with me about how we could make this work. We texted and talked on the phone and brainstormed a solution together. In the end, she gave her number out on the meal train and friends contacted and paid her directly. She totally took the extra time to make it happen. She and Justin came 15 min early before the first walk to get to know my dog and our family. They gave a pee and poop report and took photos of my dog during the walks. They were very understanding that I'd just had a c section so didn't want me to get up and were all around very compassionate people with great vibes. My toddler loved them too! She makes a connection and it won me from the start! She and her service are way beyond a simple 5 star rating. I hired her during the early part of COVID last year. Working 2 jobs from home just did not give my babies the time they needed to get out of just the yard. Never hired a dog walker before with all the dogs I have had so was a little nervous (I have Ring cameras all over so I can check up on them all the time when I do go somewhere). That went away almost instantly once I saw that she was not just a dog walker but that she loved dogs (cats etc..) & saw that connection. You can always tell when a person truly loves animals vs just doing a job. My 2 babies aren't the most social beings and have to always scan for other dogs etc.. She handles it with 100% confidence. Always makes you feel that your dogs are the only ones and she gives her full attention to them. One of them is slowing down more than the other but she takes the time to give them each the exercise suited to their stage in life. They absolutely love her- so much so that one of them wants her full attention always and will sit and bark (basically saying my turn, my turn) at her even when she leashes him up. They can sense when she is at my house even when she has not even gotten out of the car and make a beeline for the gate to meet her. I mean, I could go on and on about her and her service it just would never be enough. She gets it- I l know that she will 100% take care of my dogs, keep them safe and have fun with them... That is GOLD to me. I recently moved and could not imagine not having her watch or walk them as I moved further out from her service area. BUT she figured it out and they get to enjoy her still on almost a daily basis. She has become not just a great loving figure for my dogs but also consider her a friend. I was so happy to find Kristen on YELP. I was impressed with her reviews and she deserves them. I have 5 cats that she cared for during 5 days. I have a senior cat (20 yrs old) on meds and fluids as well as another on meds and fluids. It is very difficult to find someone who is willing and able to do this. I actually asked her to come in one day so I could observe. She was confident and capable. Even my wary one became comfortable and let her treat her. She cleaned all 5 litter boxes, bowls of food and set up timers. She always let me know how things were going and sent pictures. Aside from one who always hides, the others looked quite happy. Kristen has been my pet sitter for 9 years, after the first year it became very clear that she was just part of our family. She's loved my pets as if they were her own and they have adored her as well. Kristen is an absolute gem and I'm so glad I found her!! She watched our pug for us for an extended period of time while we were on vacation. She is very knowledgeable about dogs and is licensed.
