The question is Do you recommend this business? The answer is no. I highly recommend Janet our groomer, but not this business. I have been bringing our family dogs to SD since the first original owners. Since the last change in ownership, I have been super disappointed. They have not been easy to get a hold of through phone, they want everything done online. I leave a voicemail and don't hear back for a few days after. I feel so disconnected from human contact. They want me to pay before I even pick up my dog from their grooming appointment. And when I go to make a future appointment they now want a $35 dollar deposit just to make an appointment. I rather be charged a cancellation fee, than be charged to make an appointment. The ONLY reason keeping me here is groomer, Janet. She knows how to work well my senior pup. If this groomer leaves, or my senior pet passes, it will be time for me to look for another place for my pets. The lack of friendly customer service, makes me not want my money going to this place. Which this is super disheartening to say, since SD has been our place of grooming for at least 20 years. Sorry to post such an unpleasant review. The service was great. The wonderful staff really listened to the changes to the face cut that I wanted. Also their prices weren't So high. At one point it was getting too expensive here so even that has improved. Both my dogs look great. They also were very patient with my younger one barking nearly the Whole time. The groomers are treated like prisoners they can no longer talk or text their customers because the owners are paranoid! It's impossible to make an appointment. Great for her and her business, but the owner or whoever answers the phone needs better customer service. Quite honestly, she could say. "I don't have anything available at the moment, but if we have a cancellation I would love to accommodate you." That would make all the difference. This was my first time using this Groomer. It was also my first time taking my dogs to a Groomer as I have always done it myself. 5 years. Due to an accident I had it was easier for me to let someone else do it! We did have to wait a few weeks to get an appointment but it was well worth it. Obviously my dogs were nervous and did make some noise. Unfortunately one member of staff made a comment about that which didn't put me at ease. Yazmin took our details and I gave her our shampoo that we use as they have sensitive skin, and I gave her some of their treats "just in case" lol They were groomed and ready within 3 hours. I went to pick them up and they were both in a cage waiting for me They looked beautiful. The cut and shape was exactly what I was asking for. I don't know who groomed them but they did a great job. Thank you. Smaller dog was $60 the larger $70 and I tipped $40 for both dogs The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the incident stated above.
