I brought my dog in to be groomed after about two and a half months of covid-19 lockdown. PetSmart is pretty much filled with appointments until July understandably, about 2 weeks out. Devon was so bright and effervescent on the phone. She was able to accommodate the grooming same day, I believe due to a cancellation or no-show. Either way, she was tremendously helpful and kind. Every other grooming service in the cape was either not answering or was not taking on new customers. Then on to the performance. She walked me through lengths of cut, facial shapes and additional services like nail trimming and ancillaries. I deferred to her insight as I would probably screw it up if I tried to give her instruction. I gave her a vague description of what I'd like, and she NAILED IT. She must have washed him in some sort elixir of rose petals. He's never smelled so good! She was so sweet with Louie and I could tell there is definitely a love for animals on a personal level for her. She was quite funny and sharp witted as well. Just was simply amazing person to deal with from start to finish. It is quite seldom I meet someone as kind as they are competent. She had knowledge, passion, skill and insight all in equal parts. Devon's boss; give her a raise. Devon; take that raise and open your own shop. You'd monopolize the Cape grooming market.

Suggest you find a groomer that will meet its commitments and actually communicate if there is an issue. Unfair to the dog and her human. And I still was asked to pay for this inconvenience .... The service was inattentive and I was pretty much ignored while one of the clerks was assisting another customer. Ernie did not like either of the treats offered. He sniffed them and just walked away and would not eat them in any way I served them up. Probably my death knell on going back to that place. It's a shame though.

i've had two horrible experiences with here, i urge you if you're looking to adopt save yourself…read morethe wasted time and look somewhere else. a few years back my family went to pick up a cat listed on the website, a female orange cat. when we got there and finally went through the process they gave us an identical cat that they said was the female, but turned out to be another orange cat they had that they mixed up and was male which wasn't realized until well after we were home. i can't imagine what would have happened if our cats we already had weren't fixed. the worst part was we called them and explained the mix up and it was no apology basically oh too bad. they literally shoved a cat in a crate, filled out all this paper work, but gave us the wrong cat. that wasn't even the same sex, and to boot they did not care at all. which also means another family took home the wrong cat which was the opposite sex. despite all this, we mistakenly went here again. the animals listed on the website are never accurate, and it's not a case of oh that one just got taken home and we didn't have time to update the website, they claim they never had an animal to begin with who's picture is listed on available to adopt. we went today and when we inquired about a few of the kittens listed the uneducated staff claimed they never had any of those kittens and it must've been a mistake. and none of the staff is interested in helping or answering questions. the set up to look at the animals is unorganized, the hours their open are when they feel like it and it's almost impossible to even look at a pet you're interested in, the place is a mess and the people there have no idea at all what their doing. on top of that you can get there an hour before they open but you'll have little to no change of getting to adopt, the set up is horrible. do not get your hopes up with this place.
