The two younger dogs made themselves sick over the stress of being boarded for the first time. Obviously not the fault of 4 Paws but we should have, at least, gotten a call. When we returned from our trip, they returned the dogs to us still cover in feces, they broke one of our conures bowls, hosed down the dog bed, left it wet and ruined it, and returned the dog food with another customers scoop inside our container. Manager attempted to interject but kept interrupting me. At that point, I was checked out. He stated he would inquire and call. No attempt to fix it right then. They have live cameras (accessible through the web site) in all areas to watch your kids throughout the day. They ensure all vaccinations are current so your dog will be safe and complete temperament tests before your dog interacts with the pack. My boy was recently adopted from the Animal Defense League and he was so scared. I am sure he never experienced Doggy daycare before. They were patient with him and loved on him as if he was their own. When he got really nervous they separated him and gave him some space. He is now a regular several times a week. They have great financial packages, offer tons of services and soon they will opening the area to wash your own doggies. All that to say that as we prepare to go away on vacation next week, I was getting totally stressed about where Leo was going to stay. Wally...he could go in and out of the garage and survive with someone coming by every couple days with food and fresh water. But Leo? There was no way I wanted to leave him in a kennel. Along came Lone Star Pet Ranch, which we heard about from a friend who has brought her dog here for 7 years. We brought him there yesterday for a 1/2-day "Playcare" session in preparation for a week there.
