When she realizes that we are driving towards Reids she gets super excited! She runs up to him and jumps with joy! When we first moved to LA, I was struggled to find a place where I felt Lemon was safe and cared for. I luckily found Reid and have been extremely happy! I actually can relax on my vacation know that Lemon is having the best time ever and if anything happened to her she would be taken care of. There is an interview process for the dogs, which I love, because I know that Reid knows what to look for, so I know that Lemon is not only safe with the other dogs but is also having fun. In addition, she learned a few good habits! If I could give more stars I would. Highly highly recommend!! We have done boarding and have done the hikes!

Reid's experience as a trainer and his love for dogs was apparent and Panda fell in love with him right away. There is plenty of clean play area and the big room where they sleep is immaculate and beautiful with different resources to meet each dog's need.. Reid evaluates all new dogs to make sure that all dogs blend well together which was important to us because Panda had not been with other dogs before. It was all a big multi-day play date for her and a worry free trip for us. He posted pictures so that we could see Panda having a good time. Reid really focuses in on each dog to make sure that their needs are met. We learned a lot about Panda from him too. It was a great experience for Panda and for us!

The love they get each day in the form of walks, pets, love and attention priceless, but then you add in The Long Leash special touches and it's beyond incredible: -after each visit, your walker will send personalized messages (with photos!) to you describing your angel's antics and actions (they are eagerly awaited by us everyday, and we promptly forward them to members of our family around the country who now love The Long Leash walkers as much as we do!) -we went on an extended vacation during which our walkers visited multiple times a day (messages after each visit, of course), and upon our return found a "welcome home" bouquet of flowers from our pets (our walkers). Adorable. -on rainy days, our walker takes our dog outside but then brings her in out of the rain to play brain games - she literally comes prepared with indoor fun to entertain and engage our angels even when they can't go outside! -they are experts at special requests and seem to love them and view them as a chance to know your pet better. -last but not least, our walker watches our pets' behavior as if they were her own, and notes any changes in appearance, and any new physical bumps or oddities that may be concerning, and any changes in behavior that we should look out for. If I could give this place zero stars, I would…read more I boarded my male 2 1/2-year-old Yorkiepoo here for a weekend and picked him up on Sunday. When I got him back, his stomach and paws were covered in dried up urine and was clearly not acting like himself. Over the next two days, he had rectal bleeding that continued for two days, refused to eat for three days, and was severely dehydrated. I immediately contacted Ruff Resort to let them know what was happening with my dog, but I never received a response. I ended up taking him to the veterinarian, where he underwent multiple examinations. Between the exams and treatment, I spent over $700 trying to determine what was wrong. The vet did confirm he was severely dehydrated. A two day boarding ultimately cost me $1000. After not hearing back, I called the facility today to ask if they were open because I wanted to speak with someone in person. They told me they had tried to text me. They claimed the first message bounced back but that a second message went through. However, I never received any text on my phone. More importantly, if a customer contacts you to report that their dog became seriously ill after staying at your facility, the appropriate response is to pick up the phone and call them--not rely on text messages, especially if you already know one message failed to deliver. The lack of urgency, communication, and concern was incredibly disappointing. My dog's health and well-being should have been the priority, and instead I was left dealing with a very sick dog, expensive veterinary bills, and no meaningful response from the facility.
