I drove 30 minutes to get to the Durham location just for them to tell me that I have to drive 30 minutes in the opposite direction. When I arrived at the correct location, the lady who I spoke to about how I wanted my dogs haircut to look seemed a bit ignorant like she knew nothing about dog haircuts. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my dog to look. They also said that they don't brush dogs teeth which is odd. Never been to a dog salon that doesn't brush the dogs teeth. We were originally told it would take 2 hours and it took almost 3 for my dog to be done. Upon picking up my dog, the lady behind the front desk told my sister and I that the groomer is new and only has under a YEAR of experience. Why wouldn't they tell me that prior to getting my dog groomed? I don't want a rookie to give my dog a botched haircut(which she did) but by this point it was too late. Also, when entering the store, it smells horrible like mildew. My dog came out, his hair choppy and the final result didn't look anything like the photo that I showed the lady( she took a picture of what I showed her so there shouldn't have been any confusion) The sweater I had him wearing was covered in fur, as if they cut his hair with the sweater on. I had to request my leash and collar back from them. Anyways, the people behind the front desk were sticking their faces in front of my dogs face so that he could lick them, letting them kiss their mouth which is honestly gross and not something I want to see. Overall, unhappy with how my dog turned out. Will not be returning.

I love that Paws does free meet and greet consultations to get to know your dog prior to just scheduling a walk (like Wag or Rover). Our adopted pup Rosie needs an experienced walker with the patience and care that Joel was able to provide, completely understanding as she is settling in and also getting leash-trained. We had a terrible dog-walking app experience because the walker was not a professional but just a college student who wants to make money while also getting the chance to pet a dog (despite us noting our needs). Long story short our girl got out of her harness AND collar as the walker was not able to properly approach the situation. Joel made the effort to acquaint himself with my pup and every time he walks her, he sends multiple photos and detailed accounts of the walk - including any good, bad, or odd behavior your dog may have exhibited/engaged in. Huge for learning how your pup may be developing - especially without you there - and if there's anything you can address sooner. They scheduled his initial appointment very quickly. The vet called us and talked through everything and consistently asked if we had questions. Since then I needed advice and eventually an appointment for my dog and they got him in right away and did a terrific job during surgery. The vets we've worked with have been outstanding and so helpful, the vet techs are amazing and do a phenomenal job soothing your pet (they know it can be traumatic for dogs and humans), and whenever I request receipts for insurance they are so happy to help and send it immediately. Because of that, I trusted her completely until our appointment this weekend.During our visit, Dr. Nicole aggressively pushed for a high-priced echocardiogram for Rocky. When I politely said "no thank you"--reminding her that she herself already successfully operated on Rocky and her daughter Tammy despite their genetic tuxedo-line murmurs--she resorted to blatant psychological manipulation. She tried to scare me by stating she "would hate for me to call in because they suddenly had a genetic heart attack," claiming cats hide illnesses well. Weaponizing a pet parent's worst nightmare because they establish a financial boundary is medically unethical and cruel. When she realized I wouldn't budge, she literally shifted her eye contact to try to manipulate my mother instead, which backfired completely.To make matters worse, the moment her sales pitch failed on Rocky, she picked up my long-haired grey cat, Gordon, and suddenly claimed he now has a heart murmur, too. UPDATE FOR CONTEXT: To clarify exactly why the vibe shifted: This happened the moment I politely refused an elective $80 blood test for Rocky. The second I said no, the vet immediately picked up my other cat, Gordon, claimed he suddenly had a heart murmur, and used a 'heart attack' scenario as a scare tactic to pressure us. She even asked me if anyone had ever told me he had a murmur before. The irony? She is the exact vet who neutered Gordon on 02-07-2025. If he had a life-threatening heart condition, she should have detected it before putting him under anesthesia for surgery. The timing of this diagnosis was entirely too convenient. When I stood my ground, she literally turned away from me to target my mom to try and get a different answer. This isn't a complaint about money; it's a warning about manipulative, high-pressure sales tactics." Gordon was checked and cleared at 11 weeks, 13 weeks, 15 weeks was given his first Rabies Shot on 01-24-2025 By Wellness Wagon and Second Distemper no Heart Murmur detected and 17 weeks--the exact day Dr. Nicole herself cleared him for anesthesia, neutered him, and gave his distemper shot as mentioned above 02-07-2025 . A structural murmur does not miraculously appear the exact minute a client declines an expensive upsell on a completely different cat.By fabricating this note out of spite, she has potentially permanently flagged a healthy cat with a "pre-existing condition" on his file. I am giving Office Manager Britney, Practice Manager Dan, and Dr. Tricia the chance to audit Gordon's chart and wipe this false note today. But as for Dr. Nicole, her complete corporate detachment from animals she personally operated on has permanently destroyed my trust in her.

Dogcare in San Francisco, and mom of two golden retrievers, Rossi and Lars, is the savior for us when I was looking for daycare for Krusty back in 2021. I guess all dog parents have their own challenges with their dogs. Krusty is lovable and smart, but she is sometimes moody and protective of her mom. However, Stefani always focused on her positive side and potential and helped Krusty to be better K9 citizen in last 3-4 years while we were with Tefani. Even though Krusty is very picky with human and other dogs, Stefani quickly became her favorite person and Tefani was her favorite place to go every morning. The pictures with Krusty's big smile, which Stefani shared with me every day, always made my day while I was at work. Sometimes, I am not sure how Stefani remembers all details about Krusty, but, Yes, she remembers everything. She knows whether Krusty needs more attention or some space. She communicates with me if there is any I have to be aware of. She took care of Krusty like her own dog with lots of love while I was away. Even though Krusty is very sensitive with others who try to touch her paws or butt, Krusty trusts Stefani for grooming and Stefani knows Krusty so well that she always provides best haircut for Krusty that fit into her lifestyle.
