Fantastic technical school serving Collin County. In my line of work I am exposed to a lot of…read moreschools and I am privileged to behind the scenes knowledge of what they are doing for their students to prepare them for real world experience. The instructors, staff, and faculty all are passionate about what they are doing and creating innovative ways to prepare their students. For example, they have partnered with industry partners who underwrite part of the setting up educational programs and costs in order to provide the school with great resources and in exchange the school creates programs that are immediately needed and employable in the job market. It is a win/win! This particular campus provides educational opportunities in Automotive Technology, Collision Technology, Welding, HVAC, Construction, Nursing, IT, and more. Being a technical college the per hour tuition is a fraction of other colleges and universities. To me that seems like a win for the students and a win for the community!

I would not recommend coming here for a correspondence exam or using this testing center. As a…read morestudent at an online university, I needed a testing center to take an exam. The supervisor I spoke with multiple times while trying to schedule my test was very unfriendly and unwelcoming. After finally getting the exam scheduled, I paid $30 for the appointment. When I arrived, I spent about 20 minutes going through an extremely uncomfortable check-in process. I was asked to lift my hair, show parts of my skin, pat myself down, empty my pockets, and spit out my gum before being allowed to take the exam. The man checking me in even had to "check with his supervisor" to see if I was allowed scratch paper and pencil for an ALGEBRA exam... I understand the importance of preventing cheating, but with cameras everywhere and a full staff present, the level of screening felt excessive and unnecessary. To make matters worse, the testing center does not clearly communicate all of their rules and procedures ahead of time. In the end, I wasn't even able to take my exam because they would not allow the lockdown browser required by my university. While I understand there may have been complications on my school's side, the interactions I had with the supervisor were unpleasant and unhelpful throughout the process. Overall, the experience was frustrating and a waste of time and money. I would strongly suggest students look for another testing center if possible.

And now, as we look into a housing loan, they're saying there's no guarantee for freshman housing anyway... I'm totally shocked. Priority goes to international students, then out-of-state, then in-state, then even students from nearby counties... seriously? We rejected Baylor, SMu, Spelman, Howard, University of Houston, University of Oregon for this? This is a slap in the face. Why offer a full ride without housing and a meal plan?

Plus, this lot isn't very well lit. There was trash throughout the parking lot. Someone left a bag of cabbage and a loaf of bread sitting out there that was there the entire weekend. If you're going to Pioneer Plaza to check out the cows, I'd recommend just parking along the street for metered parking- you're probably going to pay less.

They layout of the campus is beautiful. It is a 96 acre 5 building facility that looks much more like a junior college than a high school. It has duck ponds with fountains and walkways throughout the campus. At the time, I had never seen a high school quite like that. Today, there are some others with similar designs, but mostly it is still cutting edge for high school layouts. Most recently I was here for a fund raiser holiday bazaar they hold every year. The campus is still as beautiful as it ever was!

Its a free parking lot for patients if you can find it and you validate that parking... Need to find out if this is a For-profit hospital. They are one of the few left who offer a cheap quickie for 6 bucks. It's a traditional drive-through car wash. You stay in your car, you get power washed on your way in, soaking bubbles, cloth straps smack your car, a good rinse, and a person at the end quickly wipes off the excess water. On your way out you can vacuum your own car, but there are only 2 vacuums. Again, if you go on a busy day, it's going to be tough. But not bad for $6.00 They also have full services and offer a monthly car wash membership.

I made a mistake going here. My car needed a cleaning and vacuum, after not being washed most of…read morethe winter. I usually wash my car myself, but hurt my back and couldn't. I took my car to Wash-Wash Car Wash & Detail (formally Perfect Wash) because I thought, why not give them a chance. I own a 2012 Acura TSX that I take very good care of. I keep it serviced and washed. There are several things I noticed when I got my car back from being washed and vacuumed... 1. I watched as a young girl cleaned the inside of my car with the vacuum. I found it odd that a car wash business allows young children to wash and vacuum expensive automobiles. 2. When I got my car back, I got in and noticed that the floor mats were still dirty with debris and the middle console was still dirty. ( I got in my car and drove straight home bc I thought oh, well... let's not make a big fuss over this) 3. When I got home and got out of my car I looked down and noticed a piece of the plastic trim on the bottom of the drivers seat had been broken. The piece was sticking out slightly. I immediately got back into my car and drove the 2 miles or so back to the car wash. 4. The supervisor I spoke with said his name is Jay John (or Jon ). I showed him the damage to my car that was not previously there before the car wash. I told him that the young girl must've broken it when she was cleaning. The supervisor denied this and said that it was not possible because of the shape of the vacuum nozzle. He then brought one of the nozzles they use over to demonstrate. As he was demonstrating how the nozzle couldn't have broken the plastic trim, he popped the piece out of place ( that he previously tried to "fix" by shoving it back into place). Even though, he made it pop out of place with the nozzle, he still denied that his employees broke it. 5. I asked for the corporate contact information and he said there wasn't any. I asked who signs his checks and he said he did. Jay told me that he and a partner are the owners of the establishment. He then gave me his email address for me to file my complaint with. I asked for a separate number to contact his boss or anyone above him. He would not give me any contact information for his partner in the business. Jay John continued to deny any wrong doing. He didn't even offer to fix it or even give me a refund of the $26 I paid. 6. I called the Plano PD and they told me that they could not file a report because it is a civil matter. 7. After talking with the police, I then just left since the manager of the establishment seemed to not care about the damage they caused and denied it multiple times. If you want your car not cleaned and damaged, then take your car here. This was the worst car wash I have ever trusted my car too. The biggest mistake and headache.

Becky Lowery Freshman Center as the name suggests is a brand new addition to Allen schools. Since…read morethe old, much smaller Lowery school was not serving the needs of 9th graders in Allen ISD, the city built this new building right behind it. This addition was much needed. Since Allen High School starts from 10th grade, they had the Freshman's in a separate school. Last week, I had the chance to checkout this new school for my niece's Allen District Honor Choir performance being held at the auditorium. The auditorium was spacious with comfortable seats, high quality speakers and large stage area. We thoroughly enjoyed the performance by these talented kids and recognized their effort, dedication. I'm glad to be a resident of Allen City and am looking forward to my son attending these top rated schools with state of the art amenities, great extracurricular programs, and high academics.
