On Sunday if you have a sales receipt from a previous trip there, you can get 50% off. It can get a little messy in there, but that's only a small issue. There was a child unattended for at least 10 minutes before I determined I needed to seek help. I…read moreapproached an employee, named Tyler, and asked for assistance. He went to the front to notify someone, but when he returned, he told me I should "mind my business," stating that this was a small store and they could not do anything unless the child had left the store. I would like it noted that the child's mother NEVER came looking for him during this time (roughly 30 mins). It was only after my husband, another woman, and I went throughout the store searching for help, including looking for Spanish speakers to communicate with the child, that his mother was eventually located (by staff) inside the store. The employee (Tyler) who told me to "mind my business" is fortunate I did not follow his advice. If I had ignored the situation, no one would have been monitoring this child. He could have wandered into traffic, been taken, or been seriously hurt. This situation was handled extremely poorly by Tyler. I am thankful for the staff members who eventually stepped in to assist us. I am filing this grievance in hopes that no child is ever left in danger again, and that no future bystanders are told to "mind their business" when raising concerns about the safety and wellbeing of an unattended child. Do better.
