I use to work security here pre covid. This is a great facility. Set up for basketball it holds about 18k but with concert and the floor seating it can hold more. They have the outside all dressed up because of the playoffs. They don't do any type of arena tours for the general public which is to bad. They are in the process of building a new one. What an amazing stadium. Me and my friend had a great time coming to watch a Thunder basketball game here! The seats were super comfortable. They had two nice cushions on them. We had a great view for a good price. Loved it! The inside was surprisingly clean. When I walked in the bathroom, I was expecting to see dirt and grime everywhere, but there was none. I was impressed by how clean everything was. The food here was great! The burger I had was awesome. Also, the service was really good too. The employees here were really nice. Amazing experience! I have been a die hard thunder fan for years and finally got an opportunity to watch a few home games in Oklahoma City. The whole vibe is amazing! Customer service is phenomenal. They found out it was our first home game from california and they brought us a goodie bag with a handwritten note! Wow! It was an amazing experience! While there everyone was discussing the future arena. I am so excited with the way this organization is being run! I can't wait to visit again for when they win the finals. (I'm calling it now). My only negative experience was the automated drink stations. Everywhere around the Arena, there are signs that alcohol is 11$ , and water is 4$. I used one of those automatic AI stations and it charged me 13$ for water instead. Oof! read more

I came to Paycom Center for an OKC Thunder game, and the atmosphere was electric! I've never had so much fun at a game. Each seat had a Thunder shirt draped over it, which was such a nice touch. Even though I was up in the nosebleeds, I could still see the whole court clearly--even without my glasses. I was bummed the Thunder lost, but the experience overall was awesome. The stadium seats were surprisingly comfortable, the floors were clean (not sticky like some other venues), and the air conditioning kept things cool--I didn't even break a sweat. Entry lines and alcohol lines moved quickly, which made everything run smoothly. Can't wait to come back! read more

They are having a historically dominant season in terms of their average margin of victory and their greatness both on offense and defense. The soon-to-be MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, is having a historically great season with his proficient scoring and is the catalyst that elevates this team to another level. Jaylin Williams will do whatever it takes to help this team win. Everyone fears the Dorture Chamber. Isaiah Joe is a sharpshooter. The paint is fresh, cards (and your digital wallet) are king, and the staff are ready to check your COVID-19 vaccination record before you walk through the doors (until December 1st, 2021). Let's face it, giant group gatherings, like attending Thunder games, have changed in the past couple of years. As the times change, so does the Paycom Center. What's new at Paycom Center: -Cashless is king, bring your cards or digital wallet forms of payment (there are ATMs available on each level, if needed). -Face masks are encouraged, but not required. -Scannable QR codes on the seats grant fans access to special one night merchandise deals. -The arena glows green! There's a pronounced green glow on everything at the arena these days as the Paycom logo can be found around every corner. Room for improvements: -Staff have been instructed to not allow loitering of ticket holding guests in sections of which they do not hold a ticket to enter. In the last couple minutes of game in which the arena has multiple rows of empty seats in lower bowl seats, it's a shame to watch staff members chase off and intimidate ticket holding families wanting to catch just a few moments of a closer glimpse of their beloved OKC Thunder. Went to see fall out boy and jimmy eat world here. If you are from out of town stay at the courtyard on Reno it's right beside the Paycom. The arena itself is very cramped and uncomfortable. The security is very very strict on bags you can carry in that includes purses. I would go back and see another show there though. read more

This was on the bucket list of things to do as a transplant to the OKC metro...get to a Thunder game. Arena experience is awesome! So much food to choose from the variety is what I was impressed with..... Bathrooms are easy to get in and out. Fan shops all over the arena. All the workers had smiles on their faces and were happy to help with anything! The temperature was perfect, the overall experience was superb! I would love to return..... I love the arena after my first visit. I found Miller lite to drink and navigation through the arena was pretty easy. Went to an OKC Thunder game vs Celtics recently. Welcomed by a friendly atmosphere and staff and the entertainment was awesome! I've never seen a drone (or "Orb" as they call it) used in dispensing gifts and getting unique camera angles of the fans. Attended the Andrea Bocelli concert at Paycom last night. Paid for a dinner as part of a ticket price. Employees could not have been more inept. Nobody could give accurate information or directions. Stood waiting in 99 degree heat for more than 30 minutes for nothing - could have been inside for dinner but there was no signage or directions. Staff weren't visible anywhere and door we were supposed to go to for the dinner event was locked. Took someone else pounding on a door to get someone to respond. Food was very tasty at the Michelob Lounge. The concert was beautiful but seating was soooo uncomfortable for premium seats which we paid generously to get. They were folding chairs that were connected to each other. No wiggle room whatsoever. Hard to sit so long shoulder to shoulder. Wooden stairs added to get to court level were treacherous - no handrails. Staff just stood there and didn't offer to help. Luckily there were kind people who helped others like me maneuver unsafe conditions. Sound and acoustics were good for a basketball arena - very pleasant surprise. Once in a lifetime opportunity for the concert but will take a pass on going back to special events at PayCom. read more

This is a review of Ticketmaster, who were not able to figure out how I could download tickets to the 03/21/25 Thunder game after literally hours of wasted time. I ended up selling the tickets--at a loss--which somehow I was able to do even though I couldn't download them. I have purchased Thunder tickets through Ticketmaster many times in the past without encountering this problem. It is, frankly, unbelievable to me that a corporation of this size in the United States could be so dysfunctional. My family and I went to Paycom Center to watch the Mavericks take on the Thunder. The arena was great and had many activities and picture ops for fans. Loved it for my son. Parking was reasonable compare to arenas and stadiums in Dallas. My only complaint is the seat leg room. Our seats were upper level, first row which had very little leg room. I'm not a tall person so I can imagine what a teller lengthy individual would feel with no room to stretch your legs. It is very tight. Me and a friend were at Paycom Center on Friday May 31,2024 for the NF concert. We got into a line that we thought was for general admission. After waiting in line for an hour, we finally got inside the door only to very rudely be told that was the VIP entrance. We had to go back outside to find the right line without any assistance from any employees to get to the right place. There were no signs anywhere or any employees outside to assist people with what line or area they needed to be in. Several other people had the same issue. It would have been extremely helpful to have employees or even signs in place along the outside of the arena, so everyone knows what line was for VIP and General Admission without all the confusion. read more

After waiting third in line to order for 10 minutes and watching 6-8 people behind the counter literally bump into each other filling orders slowly and serving people first who ordered last they didn't have any hot dogs. The hot dog stand didn't have any hot dogs five minutes into the second quarter. Don't chesapeake I know what you're saying And I don't need your reasons Don't tell me because our loss in the NBA Finals hurts I don't have the energy to review this arena, but I'm going to anyway. Chesapeake Energy Arena glows in the night in downtown Oklahoma City close to the highway. It doesn't look like a palace of basketball that dominates the whole country (save for a few Curries and Jameses here and there), but the team has been consistently one of the better outfits ever since they quite recently came into existence. It's wonderful for the city that the team exist and I have rarely seen an entire city so excited by a single team than this one. If this team was having the same success in a large city I doubt it would have the same kind of effect on the area. Oklahoma City certainly is a lot larger than people think, but it still has that wonderful small-town feel and they really appreciate their sports team. And I really appreciate this arena. read more

The hubs and I visited the arena for an OKC Thunder game and we loved it! The seats are quite comfy, there's plenty of fanfare and awesome "energy" in the Chesapeake Energy Arena! -imagine that?! The facilities were clean and well maintained, pretty easy to navigate and, although we caught a Lyft to the game, parking appeared to be stress-free. Traffic was a breeze before and after the game. Gotta' love that! We enjoyed our time at the arena, and I'd imagine it's also a nice concert venue for the city! read more

Babes first game. We live in TX, but we love our thunder. We know they went into double ot the day before and knew they were tired for a back to back game like that., but we couldn't wait to see them anyway. Russ is a beast and so are his teammates. We have great seats for the first game next to some of my favorites. Babe had his Thunder shirt because that's how you roll to your first game. We were greeted by one if my favorite photographers and walked to our seats. I tried some new vanilla trout beer, which was pretty good. I think it's only on level 1 . Never saw it on 2 or 3. The we lost by 3 , but it was a close great game and we loved it. I was so happy baby got the real experience. Also, he got the philly fries. I got the strips. Fries were horrible but eh. We went to see an Italian opera singer's concert here. We had seats in the center-top of the stadium. After every single song: bright, blinding lights shown right into everyone's eyes. It devalued the experience to a degree that it wasn't worth the money we spent. By the time our eyes adjusted to the dark again we had missed a large part of the performance. When the lights were shining - we couldn't see a thing, and it gave me a major headache. If there are ever people sitting up in that stadium with epilepsy; it would trigger a seizure, there is no safety measures for keeping someone with a health condition like that safe - because there are no guardrails, it is extremely steep, and the person would likely fall to their death and take those beneath them - with them. It seems to me that the staff would prefer not to create such a liability. Shining blinding lights into your paying guest's eyes is more than a nuisance. It was a horrible experience. We should have bought the $1500 dollar tickets for the ground level, front row seats: we had the money. Instead, we got robbed of the experience that we paid for. Also, there was beer spilt down 16 steps, which ascend and descend at what appears to be about a 60 degree angle, with concrete steps: with no non-slip adhesive on them. It's like the Paycom Center wants to be sued for negligence. But is the obvious really negligence??? Who serves beer at an Italian opera anyway; and who drinks beer at an Italian opera? What is this place? read more
