Both my refrigerator and freezer were warm. The VinTech technician came out but stated that he could not access the freezer panel and recommended that the entire built-in unit be pulled out. This was extremely concerning to me. The refrigerator is a built-in GE Monogram, and the components needed for diagnosis and repair are accessible from within the unit. There is nothing behind the unit that would logically require it to be pulled out to access the freezer components. I requested a second opinion through my home warranty. The second technician was able to properly access the freezer, diagnose the issue as a failed freezer evaporator fan motor, and replace the motor--without pulling the built-in refrigerator out, all in 1 hour. The difference between the two service calls was significant. The second technician was able to complete the diagnosis and repair that the first technician said could not be accessed. If you have a high-end or expensive appliance, particularly a GE Monogram, I would not recommend allowing VinTech to service it based on my experience. I would strongly recommend requesting a different service provider rather than risking an incorrect diagnosis or unnecessary work to the appliance. I am grateful that I requested a second opinion, because otherwise I could have been left with an unresolved appliance and an expensive recommendation to pull out a built-in unit unnecessarily.

I called and they were very helpful. So I took out the pump and dropped it off, 5 minutes to closing time on a Friday thanks to traffic. I called and said I'm almost there, they said no problem, we'll hang around. A couple days later I got an estimate of $200 and gave them the go ahead. A couple days after that I got a call to pick it up! It's a small shop, very friendly and courteous staff. I'll be back next time I need a pump or electric motor fixed!
