He told stories to make the classroom time flyby and I was entertained the whole day. The gun range was a blast. I've never really liked guns and have always been scared of them so I went in super nervous, having only shot a gun a handful of times. By the end of the hour at the gun range, I felt so much more comfortable around guns, understanding how they operate, and more confident with my ability to handle one. I know he was thinking, "This is going to be mighty interesting!" It was. Gary's patience helped me accomplish the mission at hand. It wasn't easy for me, and it was painful (for us both). But Gary hung in there with me with such a great attitude that I am forever grateful and recommend him to anyone who wants to learn Texas gun laws throughly, with a comical twist, and who wants to pass their LTC test and the range test. Get some rest the night before & be ready for a long day of excitement. This was the 2nd pistol marksmanship class that I have taken. David's class was far and away…read moresuperior to the 1st class. His ability to diagnose what you are doing wrong, and then correct it is what stands out in my mind. As an example, early on in the class I was dropping the front of the pistol in anticipation of trying to see what I had hit on the shot. He tried to correct me verbally, but I was not getting it. So, he got out his phone, videoed me while shooting, then played the video back to me. I was able to see what I was doing wrong, and correct. At another point in the class, I was not focusing correctly on the front site when pressing the trigger, and again, I was not getting the verbal correction. David pulled out a photo of a page with three images. 1st image was the rear site in focus, with the front and target blurred. 2nd was the rear and front blurred, with the target in focus. 3rd had the rear site and target blurred, with the front site in focus. I got it. David knows what he is doing, and is an excellent instructor.

After a horrific visit at a close by competitor that has USA in their name... this place stood out like a beacon in the night on a foggy night at sea. Upon entering we were immediately greated within 3 seconds. The gentlemen there welcomed us in as if we were familiar family. We approached the counter and I asked them if they did trades and he said yes but it depends on exactly what I was interested in trading. I went back to my vehicle to show them my trade and a little background and they were more than happy to give me close to what I purchased it for as it was only 2 days old from where I originally purchased it from. They happily gave us a small tour of their facilities and showed us some products of interest. They were extremely knowledgeable about every product there as they are also a gunsmith shop so can also do any type of modification allowable. I was extremely happy to hear that they have a 30 days return policy on anything you buy there. Their nearby competitor surely doesn't have that same policy. The customer service is excellent and I was able to make my trade as well as buy new hardware. I'm also happy to announce that they are adding a range early next year right next to them. I love that small shop feel of a place vs the corporate treatment where you're treated only as a number. In fact, whilst I was there another customer walked in complaining about that same nearby competitor and how bad they were with customer service. Clearly they have a reputation that Texas Underground doesn't have and have been the savior of many. This is my official spot going forward for Ammo and Armory. Be secure and Prosper.
