We were told it would be a month long process (2 additional appts after the consult), and with insurance would be close to 3k. I found another pediatric ortho for a second opinion before moving forward and they treated her tooth on the spot, and it was only $54.00 The other ortho had great reviews, and was just as close. I will pay whatever and do whatever I need to for my children, but almost a 2800.00 difference blows my mind, esp when my daughter was treated at the other orthodontist immediately, returned to school and was no longer in any pain. The staff and specialists were warm and wonderful, and made my daughter feel comfortable, I think she even had fun :) The prices and unecessary recommended treatments is why we won't be back.

The office itself is clean, and the staff were always friendly and professional during our visits. Unfortunately, our overall experience took a very disappointing turn. We missed an appointment due to severe weather. The office later scheduled another appointment that we were unaware of, and when we did not attend, we were charged a missed appointment fee. Shortly afterward, a report was made to Child Protective Services alleging medical neglect. As a licensed healthcare provider myself, I take my children's health and well-being extremely seriously. The report was both shocking and upsetting. From my perspective, the situation could have been handled with a conversation to understand what had happened or to ensure our family was okay before escalating to such a serious action. We have since transferred our children's dental care to a practice much closer to home that better meets our family's needs. While I appreciate the cleanliness of the office and the kindness of the staff, I cannot recommend this practice based on our experience. Families deserve communication, understanding, and an effort to resolve scheduling issues before assumptions are made and actions with potentially significant consequences are taken.

He had a rough first couple visits because of his nerves, so they made sure they could do as much as they were able to with not stressing him out too much or pushing him too much. They claimed to be experienced working with kids with special needs and understood, however that was far from our experience. The front desk person struggled with our insurance information. The hygienist was annoyed whenever the boys wanted to touch her tools while she was showing them everything and kept rushing them through the introduction. One of my kids was willing to attempt X-rays and despite intense crying, the hygienist kept on trying to get more X-rays and I had to demand that she stop. When my son with Autism was up, they refused to accommodate his anxiety by allowing him to sit on our lap or even just stand, and gave no alternatives to the traditional cleaning and polishing despite his intense anxiety. He became so incredibly upset and anxious they could barely even get him to open his mouth. This also occurred with the Dentist coming in. Needless to say we tried a new location and the experience was VASTLY different, and far more accommodating and presented multiple options for the cleaning process.

The moment we walked in, the office looked and smelled like calm. Everyone is so welcoming and every staff member helped us navigate the transition. Getting insurance put in was a little hassle, but they were patient through every step. Despite being a premier dentist in my insurance network, their fees are more than reasonable. I don't feel anxious that there are going to be surprises every time I go in. I've never seen my kids so chill about dentist appointments. We are absolutely dog people, so their therapy dog(s) that often greet us in the waiting room for pets is a wonderful addition. My 11-year-old had such anxiety about dental visits that I couldn't tell him until the day of or he would dwell to the point of getting nothing else done leading up to it - but last visit he came out telling me it "wasn't so bad." That's quite the compliment coming from him. My 10 year old daughter saw the same hygienist/tech two times in a row. It made her feel really valued to see her wearing the pin she "gifted" her the appointment before on her name tag. Just when I think I dentist office can't have anything more to offer - they step it up. It's clear that a lot of thought and consideration went into building this office in a way that would best support it's patients. I'm already struggling financially, experiencing extreme dental pain, now I've missed work, lost income, and then I call back once I stop crying because she said she knew some doctors that take my insurance, but she never bothers to call back even though they saw how upset I was when I left and the guy who answered the phone is probably the same guy who told me they took my insurance in the first place and is no help.
