Recently, I needed to send a money transfer. I had to go out of my way to reach this establishment...and discovered a crudely crafted sign adhered to their glass door; indicating that they are not providing Western Union until further notice!! I was not amused! Nor shall I ever waste my time with their services, or lack of...ever AGAIN!!! Steer clear of Inner City Check Cashing. And go elsewhere!

This "Rite Check" isn't good for much, and when there I've had difficulties with their amenities,…read moreservices, and staff. I've had difficulty cashing checks there, and that shouldn't happen since cashing checks are a check cashing establishments primary function from what I understand. Their staff is usually young, with many in their 20's. They're often lazy, inept, preoccupied with oneself, their cell phones, conversing with each other, or going home, and make their disinterest in servicing customers evident. Last time I patronized this establishment I was forced to make 3 trips to cash 1 check. It was due to their misinformation in regards to the process behind cashing checks, having to "verify" checks to be cashed a certain time after it's printed/noted date, and general disorganization. I remember many employees suggested I go to a bank instead of using their services, as they thought it'd be less of a hassle. Information on their company, it's policies, procedures, and services will vary depending on who services you, their mood, and interest in their job. For example when receiving information about their check cashing policies, two employees gave two different stories. One said checks can't be cashed 10 days after their printed/noted date without being verified, and suggested I go to a bank instead of returning there if I wanted a check cashed without their hassles. The second employee told me checks cannot be cashed 14 days after it's noted/printed date, and mentioned nothing about a verification process until it was brought to her. Before mentioning to her the possibility of a verification process, she avidly handed the check back and insisted I go to a bank. I believe they'd send customers away to leave their shift/engage in lunch early, and would withhold information if they generally didn't feel like taking on a transaction. A lot of their employees seem to work on base-line emotions, and whims. As a result, I don't support/recommend anyone visit this establishment or any "Rite Check" location if my experience represents the quality of all their locations.

I go in to send money gram and the clerk was rude and nonchalant. She asks who I'm sending to and why with attitude and when I gave my response she rolled her eyes. They need to hire people who actually want to work. it's always an issue with this one particular rite check whenever I go to send money.

I enjoy going to TD bank to conduct business for my job. The tellers are very friendly and…read morewelcoming. However, There's one teller who lacks customer service. One day I went to withdraw money for people with developmental disabilities because I was going to be out on medical leave due to surgery. The teller looked at me and asked if I can't break up the transaction and return another day. I told her that I would not be able to answer that question. she stated everybody goes through stuff and it's mad early in the morning. I didn't responded and left after my transactions.

The hours of the Bank are great. A Bank open on Sundays deserves more than one star, however I will…read moresay that their customer service is sub par. When I have to wait over 15 minutes to ask for a teller when I am next in line seems a bit ludicrous which has me wondering if the employees know what they are doing. On a different occasion, the employee would not even let me withdraw money from my own IRA. He mentioned that I was not allowed to which doesn't make any sense. However on another occasion at a different Bank, I was able to withdraw. It just goes to show the competence of the employees. Honestly it is convenient that the Bank is in Mount Vernon as there is no Bank like TD however it does bring about concerns considering that they aren't sure as to what to do.
