There was a racist Hispanic lady at the teller. My mom is Chinese but she knows how to speak basic English. She asked the Hispanic lady at the teller how much it was for a check just to double check. Instead of answering her question, she asks her why can't she speak Chinese. My mom didn't know how else to respond to that but knew the lady was trying to discriminate her. However, my mom asks again and the lady continues to talk down on her and laugh at her, saying she is Chinese but don't know how to speak Chinese. My mom didnt know how to respond to her racist questions, but received and paid for her check. She then notices that the people behind her who weren't Chinese asked the same question-- how much is the check? And the Hispanic lady responds to them without pointing out any racist comments. My mom felt very discriminated and furious that she didnt know how to respond back in English. Very disappointed. I gave two stars instead of one because the other employees were fine except for this racist lady.

Both times, the interest rate was very low and I was pleased with the what the payoff amounts would be based the future payoff schedules. After reviewing my phone calls with the MetLife Customer Service Reps regarding the policy cancellation issue (see previous review), MetLife decided they were going to give me a refund even though I didn't want one. What I really wanted is for MetLife to make this form clearer. I was told by Angela, in Customer Service, that a change to the form is in the works AND they are processing a refund.
