The pictures do not even begin to show how bad my legs were damaged and scarred.
    Joe N.

My family has saved up for a well deserved vacation. But it will be very warm where we are going and I'm very self conscious about the spider veins on my legs. They weren't dark but I am very fair and wanted to feel comfortable and be confident wearing shorter dresses since I had only been wearing long dresses and pants due to the anxiety caused by the veins. I was treated at Paz dermatology a few weeks ago. I went into the appointment so excited. I've dealt with quite a bit in the past year and couldn't wait for the veins to look better. Unfortunately that is not what happened. I followed all provided instructions and even wore the compression stockings an extra week. But my legs are destroyed. The veins I had treated were light in color but are now black and I have developed many new ones. I am absolutely devastated. I contacted the doctor but they told me there was nothing that could be done. The veins continue to get worse every day. This was the second time I've had spider veins treated. The first time (at a different drs office) they came out incredible and were gone almost immediately. This has been a truly horrible experience. I spent $300 to look 1000% worse. That may not be much money to some people but it is to my family. It is money we could've applied to our trip. Our vacation that I was looking forward to is a few days away and I am not even excited to go anymore. It is a beautiful, tropical location and everyone will be wearing swimsuits and sundresses and I will be in long dresses or pants. I know some people will consider this vanity but it's something that causes me anxiety and I was so excited and now I just feel sad and wish I could go back in time and never had the procedure there. I highly advise anyone considering having their veins done at Paz do your research and reconsider. I desperately wish I had.

Top is the mole, bottom is right after removal. Super happy with my results- check out the last photo.

It got to the point where they would wake up in the middle of the night, scratching and crying. I was tired of going back-and-forth and decided to just go to the specialist. I called Dr Boswell's office the ladies who helped me were very kind. They answered all my questions they made the process a breeze and I was able to secure an appointment 3 days after I called. They scheduled us with Dr. Saunders. So the morning of our appointment I got a little lost lol they have a really big building and I ended up going into their Esthetic side. The ladies there were kind enough to redirect me. Once we entered the correct building everyone was very attentive and welcoming. We got called back right away. Dr. Saunders was AMAZING!!! He was so good with the kids, he was very kind and interactive. Dr. Saunders is very knowledgeable. He took his time explaining and educating me and all the reasons for their skin issues. And gave me multiple recommendations. He also prescribed some creams. The creams worked instantly! In a week, my kids skins were cleared and everyone was so happy! The staff members were great! Someone might need the information that I'm about to share with you today:…read more Whether your insurance is a Health Maintenance Organization/HMO (like Kaiser) or a Preferred Provider Organization (YOU chose your own Dr.), you are ALWAYS entitled to a second opinion. If you have skin cancer of ANY type and need a second opinion, I highly recommend Dr. Leslie Storey. If you have been told a 'wide excision' is your ONLY option, you may CONSIDER getting a second opinion, let me explain: Very FEW dermatologists are specially trained in doing what is called a Mohs procedure. This is where skin is removed layer by layer until ALL the cancer cells are removed. This leaves healthy tissue to remain. A 'WIDE Excision Procedure' goes DEEP and WIDE, taking big hunks of viable tissue along with suspected cancer. Also, because it is not done under a microscope (like the Mohs procedure) it can leave cancer cells behind. . . This is especially important on your face and neck, as you don't want to take unnecessary tissue away, or a greater risk of the cancer returning. I knew of Dr. Storey's expertise, so when my husband recently developed a very rapid abscess (which by experience, I KNEW it quickly could develop into a systemic infection) AND sending photos of such to our HMO, we were told that he would not be able to be seen for at least FOUR weeks by the Dermatologist . . . Uh, O-Kaaaay. . . I sent the same photos to Dr. Storey, she immediately saw him, went in and BAMM ! She did a local surgery THEN & THERE! RESOLVED! (Trumpet's blaring) :D This is TWICE we had to go "out of pocket ", to get the care we needed. I CAN say it was worth EVERY penny! She is THE 'expert' in the San Joaquin Valley and cares MORE about her patients well being than ANYTHING else. . . If I had 10 thumbs, I would hold them all up for her! Guess who is going PPO this fall? ;)

His new office is beautiful, clean, and welcoming, and every staff member I've interacted with has been friendly, professional, and efficient. Check-in is quick, scheduling has always been easy, and the entire office runs smoothly. Dr. Dehesa has one of the best bedside manners of any physician I've seen. He is warm, compassionate, takes the time to listen, and never makes me feel rushed. He's also helped me manage a recurring skin condition and my long-term skincare needs. Because Dr. Dehesa is so popular, appointments with him can book well in advance, but I've also seen his physician assistant, Dave, who is excellent. He stitched my forehead after my basal cell removal at the previous practice and recently got me in quickly for a new area of concern. He has a fantastic bedside manner, listened carefully to my concerns without dismissing them, and clearly explained what he was seeing along with my options. As someone with a personal and family history of skin cancer, I've learned it's important to advocate for any spots that concern me, and Dr. Dehesa has always been receptive to those conversations. If you're at higher risk like I am, don't hesitate to speak up about anything that worries you. Overall, I highly recommend this practice. The care, kindness, and professionalism from Dr. Dehesa, Dave, and the entire staff there is unfortunately not something that I think is common with Doctor offices any longer. Because of this, I'm happy to recommend them to friends and family!

My wife mentioned a sun spot on my face had gotten bigger and suggested I get it checked out. Instead of going to just a dermatologist, I went right to the source and went to the Skin and Cancer institute of Fresno to checked out. I had a biopsy done and the spot tested positive for squamous cell carcinoma, a very common form of skin cancer with a high survival rate, but still scary. The office told me a lot of people have this and the survival is in the 95 - 99 percentile, which made me feel better. After a few weeks, I headed back to the spot removed and lucky for me the extra tissue/segment they removed tested negative for carcinoma! I did get three stitches in my face and potentially a cool scar, as my son says. The staff here for the most part was friendly, but a few could a refresh on their bedside manner and be reminded when people hear the word "cancer," it's scary AF! The appointment process was a breeze. They use APPatient, a scheduler app which made the process so easy from beginning to end. I paid, set up prescriptions pickup locations, and received appointments all from the app which was awesome. I have a full body scan set for September! Just a reminder to wear sunscreen and get all moles or weird skin discolorations checked out!

I decided to wait for an appointment until shelter in place was lifted. No problem, right?? ...wrong! I talked to the receptionist multiple times about this, along with leaving two messages. When I spoke to the receptionist, she was working from home and could not hear me. We were playing phone tag in the middle of my work meetings. I received three phone calls in a row from her even after discussing that I wanted to postpone my appointment. She even apologized because it was bad communication. It was clear that they could not conduct business as usual in the most effective way during shelter in place, however, I decided to stick with this doctor and show grace. Surprisingly, when I called to make an appointment(as they are now seeing patients in person), I was told "The DR. has decided to release you from her practice." Excuse me?! The reason I was released was, "the phone log shows we called you multiple times." I am completely baffled at this reason. The receptionist must have failed to log that I talked to her multiple times and left multiple messages as well. I'm shocked and very disappointed in the way this doctor's office has decided to conduct business during the pandemic. My mom and daughter go to this dermatologist, but they will not anymore. In a time where we are supposed to stick together, there are people like Dr. Lindae who fail to see the grace in a situation. As I continue to work as an essential employee in supporting our community, I will be reminded to show kindness to others because I've experienced the exact opposite with this office.
