My family has saved up for a well deserved vacation. But it will be very warm where we are going and I'm very self conscious about the spider veins on my legs. They weren't dark but I am very fair and wanted to feel comfortable and be confident wearing shorter dresses since I had only been wearing long dresses and pants due to the anxiety caused by the veins. I was treated at Paz dermatology a few weeks ago. I went into the appointment so excited. I've dealt with quite a bit in the past year and couldn't wait for the veins to look better. Unfortunately that is not what happened. I followed all provided instructions and even wore the compression stockings an extra week. But my legs are destroyed. The veins I had treated were light in color but are now black and I have developed many new ones. I am absolutely devastated. I contacted the doctor but they told me there was nothing that could be done. The veins continue to get worse every day. This was the second time I've had spider veins treated. The first time (at a different drs office) they came out incredible and were gone almost immediately. This has been a truly horrible experience. I spent $300 to look 1000% worse. That may not be much money to some people but it is to my family. It is money we could've applied to our trip. Our vacation that I was looking forward to is a few days away and I am not even excited to go anymore. It is a beautiful, tropical location and everyone will be wearing swimsuits and sundresses and I will be in long dresses or pants. I know some people will consider this vanity but it's something that causes me anxiety and I was so excited and now I just feel sad and wish I could go back in time and never had the procedure there. I highly advise anyone considering having their veins done at Paz do your research and reconsider. I desperately wish I had. read more

I'm writing this review for Arlette. I have been calling around to find an appointment for my boyfriend to get seen kinda last minute. And let me just say most derm offices have been rude and told me the next appointment was about a month out. She was very sweet from the start. When I initially called they were fully booked- she called me back and told me there had been a cancellation and put us in right away. I was extremely grateful. UPDATE: They are a MEDICAL facility allowing teenagers to operate machinery on patients without proper licensing. I spoke with Mrs. Paz and she said she will not fight my dispute for a refund, but what SHOCKED ME, concerned me and quite frankly upset me (as someone who has an esthetician license, knows and respects what that means and when and where licensing is required) she told me that Lexi (who performed my Hydra-Facial) is NOT LICENSED!!!!!! This did however affirm my concerns during my experience and why she couldn't answer basic product questions or treat my skin properly. Original Review: I recently visited Paz Dermatology for a hydrofacial, and unfortunately, the experience fell short. Although the esthetician, who was the dermatologist's 19-year-old niece, was sweet and friendly, that alone isn't enough when it comes to a facial. I was quoted one price but ended up being charged $25 more, which felt like false advertising. During the procedure, she didn't hold my skin taut, which seemed necessary, and as a result, my face broke out and turned red, with irritated and textured spots that took three weeks to heal. I am still dealing with irritation and breakouts on my nose (none of which I was experiencing prior to this service) While she was pleasant to talk to, she shared a lot of personal information and gave only basic answers when I asked about the products being used, leaving me feeling uneasy and lacking confidence in her skills. Despite assuring me that she wouldn't do extractions, she did, leading to acne and very red, patchy skin--a problem I didn't have before. The overcharge on top of this poor experience was upsetting. I will not be returning to Paz Dermatology unfortunately. Update: they are also unclear about billing for their dermatology practice side. I was charged a co-pay and was assured that was all I would be charged and the rest would be covered and billed through my insurance and I just got a BILL today asking for more money. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable, I had a great experience with the Paz Derm team. I have rosacea, skin bumps and dry skin. They answered all of my questions, discussed topical and other treatments and were able to remove the bumps same day. Highly recommend the hydrafacial, 10 days later and my skin still feels smooth and hydrated with good product absorption and no more skin bumps. PA Gabriel has excellent bedside manner and made me immediately comfortable. He knew exactly what the skin issue was with pictures on his device and treated me immediately and efficiently. I've had really great care here until today. I woke up with an extra sore throat/coughing and considered it a responsibility to call and cancel my scheduled appointment. I was immediately met with the response " well, you're going to have to pay a fee for that" by the receptionist. It's understandable however I found it really inconsiderate rather than offering any kindness or a suggestion to reschedule. She then looked up the type of service I was supposed to receive today and doubled down with "oh, that's going to cost you double for a cancellation". Now I'm frustrated, because I'm actually sick not just calling to cancel for fun. Finally, she asks if I would like to reschedule which I responded with " No, at this point I do not believe so!" She then hung up on me. RUDE!! This is really unfortunate because I really like the doctors here. Not sure what will happen next but I did call to complain. I'm so sick of being treated rudely by front office staff. It's become a pattern in the valley and in my opinion completely unacceptable. I didn't speak rudely to you, why are YOU being rude to me?!! Perhaps (as another individual reviewed) this is what happens when you give too many friends and family members employment within your company. I just went in for a skin check. The PA didn't even notify me that she was going to take a small bump off my upper lip. She grabbed the blade and just started cutting it! No numbing! I was in shock and had tears in my eyes because it was so sensitive and burning when she was cutting it. I've never had her before so I'm assuming she is new. I will not be returning. read more

The very day we finish we will never return. They cant fill prescriptions. Every time we need it done they have mistakes, errors, or nobody has even done it. My husband was referred to Dr. Paz for a suspicious little scab in the center of his forehead, above his nose, that had recently appeared. By the time his appointment came around, a week later, the scab was healed and no trace of any lesion existed. I thought he would be told to go home. Instead, Dr. Paz began using the Mohs Technique, cutting away small pieces of the skin, checking it under the microscope, for Basal Cell Carcinoma. The process is continued many times until no more cancer is found. My husband left with a deep wound in his forehead and was told the doctor had removed all the cancer. He still has a deep scar in his forehead, however, I do not believe my husband ever had Basal Cell Carcinoma! Usually skin cancers, remain and do not disappear by themselves. His suddenly appeared, then quickly healed before he was treated. read more

I have never saw a Dr. Just his under trained P.A. who mis diagnose several spots that had to be remove by another Dr. When I did have confidence in his PA it was always a several visit procedure to get anything removed or taken care of each creating an office visit and charge to my insurance and co pay. We saw PA Gabriel Zapata as he came highly recommended. My GF was looking to get some minor enhancements done.. but at the same time nervous about the procedures. She ended up committing and the results really do speak for themselves. Either this place is using expired products or they are inexperienced. I do not trust this place for botox or filler treatments. They do a good job at first andcthen it's like come backvto maintain, but the more I came back,it didn't work at all,they just say keep coming back, I feel this place us scamming people. Using a fresh product at first and then expired products that don't work. I would stay clear of this place.they do before pictures, saying frown and raise your eyebrows, which cause a wrinkle on a 12 year old, then snap a after picture with a relaxed face,claiming it was the result of the botox. Until after a few treatments with no results, will say keep coming back,my advice is to take before and after pictures with a straight face. I feel scammed. I went here to get some skin cancer checked. Dr Paz found 3 spots and said we would have to schedule 3 separate surgeries. 2 of them were a half an inch apart!! I went to another for a second opinion and had them all removed the same day, same visit. I feel like Dr. Paz was money grabbing by trying to get 3 surgery fees and all that goes along with it. I have had an incredible experience when working with PA Gabriel Zapata. He has been my injector and has really taken time to redefine my face and redefine what anti aging/ preventative looks like for me. It feels like he has the Benjamin button effect -w his techniques. He studies your face structure to make sure you have a long lasting and NATURAL results. No one has ever asked me if I've had any injections yet I always get compliments on my skin and looking youthful. This is how good he is. I've had filler, Botox, and tattoo laser removal.
