PC Medic and Scott are a poor excuse for a business. I have no idea how well they are doing but solely based on our experience with Scott, I can't see how they can be successful. Scott never responds to emails, doesn't return calls & has his staff give you bogus answers to your questions & concerns. We have a MacBook with a cracked screen that needed repair. Due to proximity, we contacted PC Medic in Marquette, MI. I called & got a price & a time frame for repair. All that was reasonable and fair. Fast forward 6 weeks & the laptop that was supposed to take 7 days to obtain the part and 1-2 days to perform the repair is now 6 weeks in and counting. What's the most frustrating aspect is the lack of communication & responses. When you do reach someone at PC Medic & you question what is taking so long, you get an attitude and deflections of how it's not their fault with a rude tone & zero accountability. You're running a business. If you want customers to return and be satisfied, you need to do much better. I don't know how they're in business with such unprofessionalism & incompetence. We will NEVER return to PC Medic. Gives all the hard-working and honest small businesses and people a terrible name. After my most recent email I sent on 09-26-24, I told Scott to cancel the service, and we'll pick up the laptop (since it's not yet repaired with no provided ETA). He's now holding our laptop as hostage & refusing to return it before being paid. He wants to get paid for doing NOTHING. Nothing has been done. This is illegal & authorities will be contacted, and complaints filed. The only thing that has been done is they've ignored, lied and insulted their customer. 9-26-2024 update: Scott finally responded to my 6 emails & 5 phone calls with an email that was insulting, rude, offensive, adolescent, immature & unprofessional. I will include his entire email for reference below. I'm certain he'll reply to my review and deflect, blame, gaslight, lie, insult & do everything but be accountable and professional. That seems to be the way he runs his business. Ironically, they're not BBB accredited. In fact, according to the BBB, they're listed as no longer in business. He's a clown & anything but smart. Some on yelp have referred to him as a tool. A tool is a great adjective for Scott along with clown. Email #1: "After I send you this email, I'll research your work hierarchy and will contact your superiors. I've been in business for 27 years and nobody has been quite as ignorant to me or my staff as you've been. You haven't heard from me, because you don't deserve to. You've been a bit of an asshole to multiple staff members of mine so no, you're not high on my list of people to give my attention to. The situation has been explained to you and to the customer (not you). Ironically we should receive the part tomorrow and will deal with the end-user from here on out. Unlike you, she has been quite pleasant to work with. I hope you felt great when you were getting mouthy. Next time, don't call us. Instead, go to one of the many reliable places available. I will be following up on contacting your employer. Scott Martin (I'm the guy with his name on the building). Martin Sports d/b/a Pc Medic" Email #2 (This is his response, after I told him to not touch the laptop and we'll pick it up and take it elsewhere for repairs. He's now keeping it hostage until he's paid): "You seem pretty upset, that's unfortunate. But this is how it works. The laptop that isn't here in your name is already apart. Disassembled. It is against our policy to return equipment in that state. Plus, Technically you are not the customer, you didn't sign the intake sheet and you have never paid us a dollar so you have no leg to stand on. The actual customer can work out payment details with you but rest assured, it will not leave our shop without being paid in full. Our time isn't free and you've taken quite a bit of it. File your complaint. We have everything digital. Plus your response is going to be reddit gold. Play with fire and you'll get burned." Email #3 (after I repeatedly told Scott to not touch our laptop and return it as is. It's not repaired, and we no longer are interested in letting PC Medic touch our laptop. They're anything but competent and qualified. Scott Martin clearly has complex and confidence issues and likes to flex and pound his chest where and when he can): "It's already in a state of disassembly. We cannot and will not release it in that condition without a written release of liability and payment due. As I said, my time is not free and you choose to continue wasting it. Broke my phone on the way to negaunee, and when I was eating at McDonald's, dropped my phone onto the road, SHATTERED it, and brought it here. Haven't heard of it for 3 WEEKS, and the owner, Scott, was extremely rude. They couldn't fix it apparently, when I went to transfer the data, had to put in a "code" from the iPad. Got half of the data transferred to A DIFFERENT IPAD. If you need a device to be fixed, don't come here. Thanks for reading my review, have a great day! read more

What a shitty local business. Scott the owner is a complete tool, thinks he knows everything about fixing a phone but yet I get my phone back for 2 days and the screen freezes for 24hr. They have now has the phone over a week and said nothing wrong with it. Called Scott he was very hostile and hung the phone up on me. Will never take anything to them again. And from the sounds of it this has been a shady business for quite some time. No help at all go somewhere else. read more

I called PC Medic on a Monday regarding a shattered phone screen (usable but extremely challenging & needed to be fixed ASAP). Lady on the phone was very rude and treated me like I was an idiot. They told me they had the screen size for my phone and asked me to come in Tuesday by noon. I got there Tuesday morning and they did not have the screen needed for my phone. Told me they could order it that day and have it in by the next day, Wednesday. As far as I am concerned, they only do phone screen repairs Tuesdays and Thursdays. I get out of class later on Thursdays, so they told me to call first and see if they could squeeze me in at the end of the day. I called Thursday- they could not see me. Told me to come back Tuesday. I just went back today (Tues) and dropped my phone off in the AM. Went to pick it up, finally ready for a fixed phone, and they said "Oh, we have to order the part." I explained that they told me they already ordered it and that it was in. Scott got an attitude from the back room and complained "OH MY GOD I CANT CONTROL FEDEX". Yes - but you can control what you communicate to your customers. Phone remains shattered. Very unhappy with their service and lack of professionalism. Sketchy place. DO NOT RECOMMEND. read more

I've been to plenty of computer companies, ranging from the guy who works out of his garage to the big box stores. I'm hard on computers, you see (I pound keyboards for a living) and the folks at PC Medic have always been the most fair, the best priced and the quickest turnaround. One time I even accidentally closed my laptop with a pen inside. Crack! The screen is FUBAR. I took it to PC Medic, figuring I'd be out of the workflow for a few days, and they had it removed and replaced within the hour. How great is that? From keyboards being replaced to all out revamping of systems, PC Medic has been, and will remain to be, my go-to company. read more

Wow I dont even know where to start. This place gave me a bunch of computers with non licensed copies of windows xp with a cd key typed on a piece of paper. After that had happened we check to see if the original quote matched what was actually in our computers. They where not what was promised. This place tried to scam us by making us pay for an OS and then giving us a hacked copy. The systems we have received are worth about half of what we paid. I approached the owner in a mellow manner and he blew off his lid! He lashed back immediately and said the f word in front of my customers. He than proceeded to keep yelling and slammed the door while leaving. All of my customers where shocked and asked who was that. I explained to them and all they had to say is that he is known for his scammy business practices. They said that there is even a nickname for them. The scambulance. I wish I was warned ahead of time. I would have stayed away from them. Now I am stuck buying a bunch of legitimate copies of windows. Paying that twice still has me in shock.
