YALL. I have been "repairing" a camera lens for many months and made a major mistake - the screws…read morerequire a JIS instead of a Phillips head. I stripped the screws, BAD. I tried every method to remove the screws - using a hair dryer, WD-40, the rubber band trick, and so on. I literally drew blood trying to remove these things. Last week I called quite a few local stores asking if they'd be able to help me. Most store's answers were "absolutely not" or "only if you bought the product from us". I went to CPR on a whim because it was close to Starbucks + open during the lunch hour. And boy am I glad I did. They were able to remove the stripped screws in mere minutes and they were super friendly. I'll absolutely use them in the future for any of my tech needs.

I asked the sales associate if they had the standing desk I needed in stock and they did! They even go a step further and price match. Called on the phone to ask what they would charge for a simple thermal paste replacement. Was told…read morethat it would be $100 JUST FOR AN HOUR DIAGNOSTICS. Even though a diagnostics is completely irrelevant to what I asked. You can purchase thermal paste off of Amazon for $5-10, and you usually get enough paste for multiple applications. So either I pay $10 and do it myself multiple times... Or I pay $100+ for them to do it for me. Seem wrong to anyone else? I'm sure they love their older, less tech savy clients. Probably make a fortune off of them.
