Wasted my time unfortunately…read more Gus came out on 3/31/21 to give me a quote on an email migration and he was pleasant and professional. He told me he was willing and ready to take on my project and that it would be 6-8 hours of work. I thought that was a little high to move 2 email addresses and wanted to get other quotes so I let him know on 4/1 that I would be back in touch shortly. I didn't end up having the time to interview other techs so 5 days later on April 6th, I texted Gus to let him know that I wanted to proceed with him. I knew he had amazing reviews and came to the conclusion that even if the price was a little high it would be worth it to know I was getting someone knowledgeable and available. And time was of the essence so I needed to move forward. Gus never responded to my text. Yesterday, (13 days after receiving no response) I followed up and Gus' reply to me was "Hi, sorry swapped at the moment". I presume he meant swamped and that he is now not available? I honestly feel that Gus was offended that I questioned his pricing/time necessary to move 2 email addresses from hostgator to Office; but I feel as consumers, we have the right to ask questions and make the most informed decisions possible. Now, 3 weeks later I'm back to square one. Feeling frustrated and defeated. Time is our most valuable resource and nothing upsets me more than having mine wasted! Leaving 2 stars because I do feel Gus was knowledgeable and could've successfully achieved what I needed.

Now, I've had my Dell lap top for 5 years but, it has not had the miles put on it like my PC. All black, beautifully stream lined 19" monitor, tower (with more memory than Methuzilah!), key board/mouse for $699.84! BTW that included all the goodies at no extra charge! However, had it not been for my friend (which resulted from my being a customer of his) John (owner/operator of GEEKMAN.BIZ) I would be in a straight jacket right now! He spent 5 hours (at his rate which is the same for me as everyone else) transfering all of my files, insatalling, updating, connecting tweeking this downloading that leaving nothing left for me to do but sign in and re-enter ID'S and passwords etc. Also, next week he will be back to re-evaluate his work, make adjustments (all for no charge) and then begin re-designing my new web site for my sunglasses business. That too at a very reasonable rate. My fellow yelpers' I'm delighted beyond gegabytes! My USP ports runnith over! There is no way I could have done this without him and his expertise. I mean really where do you find PC people that have all of these cool FREE downloads right from their web site: AVG Security, Crap Cleaner, Adware, Microsoft programs for cool sounds...oh the list of good fortune is endless! Okay maybe some others but everything is user friendly and, he is available for consult either via text or phone. So, just like when I had to have my car in tip top condition when I was in corperate and kept a top notch mechanic available at reasonable rates available now, I have a PC professional for my PC & Lap Top needs. If you have not checked out his web page and seen his wares I encourage you to do so. This is a work from home operation. When I called Harry, he seemed very helpful and willing. I…read moreemphasized to him that I needed to have it back on Monday, and he assured me that would not be a problem. He would do the diagnostic and have it fixed or return it to me on Monday. He had me drop off my computer for repair on a Thursday and told me that he would look at it on Friday. On Friday, when I called him, he told me he would look at it on Saturday and call me. On Saturday when i called him around 5pm, he told me he would get to it on Sunday. He may be the greatest computer repair guy in the world, but I could not trust his reliability and/or his word. I got my computer back Saturday night and will go elsewhere.

My ten year old iMac bit the dust late Friday…read more I needed it on Monday. I read the Yelp reviews and I requested an estimate from Avmeda. John texted me within 15 minutes. I texted back and he told me to bring my iMac right down. His quote was one-third of any I got previously from other repair shops. He said he'd do his best to repair by Monday. Over the weekend he called me with updates. Sunday morning he told me I could pick it up. He did everything I asked and more. He couldn't fix my keyboard, so he gave me one to use until I could get a new one. His estimate was dead on. Not a penny more. I believe that John is honest, his charges are more than fair, his repair work is extremely fine, and he goes the extra mile for his customers. Avmeda IT Services is highly recommended...

Yitz installed security cameras at my house and I've had many problems working with him. He's…read moreunreliable and has poor integrity. I would never work with him again. The project took way longer than it was supposed to, but I would've been okay with that had he honored his warranty and stood by his work. He offered his own warranty in addition to what consumers are legally entitled to by the CSLB. When my cameras went offline, he had me spend hours and hours with the manufacturer tech support before he was willing to even consider looking at them. It took months to get him to come back to my house to get the cameras back online. Before he came over, he argued with me on the phone wanting me to agree in advance to pay more money, even though they went offline within one year and are covered under both warranties. He tried to negate what the warranties covered and even the wording in his own contract. He finally came to get the cameras online but wanted me to agree to cap his visit at one hour and pay for any hours above that, regardless of the reason the cameras went offline. I said if they're not back online after the first hour we can talk about it, but let's at least see what he could do in that hour. When he came over, he spent ten minutes and got most of the cameras back online, but was very resistant to answering questions or explaining what he was doing or how to prevent them going offline in the future. He rushed out the door very quickly and wasn't willing to spend the full hour. I ran out to his car to tell him two cameras were still offline and the NVR was still offline but he left anyway. He said he would come back to fix the rest soon. It's been two months and he's been ghosting me. He won't respond to my calls or texts. I really liked Yitz initially, but he's broken my trust and I've given him way too many opportunities to fix the situation. I've had too much patience. Very disappointing.
