UPDATE 12 weeks later: Not only did this THIEF steal $120 for "installing" (he put the disc in and hit run... wow !) FREE student version of win 10 but it immediately got the WATERMARK OVERLAY (it is s student version NOT the real OEM---bastard) that stays on the bottom right of the computer and interferes with sight. It does NOT come off until you REGISTER AND BUY the Win 10 !. NOW- the SOUND CARD of Win 10 is defective and buzzes. No matter the driver or Realtek/. ------------------------------------------ This BASTARD is a THIEF. He must have DELETED the other 1 stars of which there were far more than this OLD 5-start bullshit. Angel NEVER tried to make right his $120 ripoff off of me and the STUDENT VERSION of Win 10 (I asked for 7) he installed and LIED that it was an OEM. The moron even left the STUDENT VERSION in disk (dumbass left in my hard drive !!) then LIED to me about the constant (because it is a FREE STUDENT VERSION) overlay/watermark that is always at the bottom right. It can NOT be removed. It says "Activate Windows: Go to Setting to Active Windows. You can temp remove it by reloading but it ALWAYS comes back since it's a FREE version (The $120 this BASTARD of a loser prick ripped me off of). Two LEGITIMATE computer men verified that this loser had RIPPED ME OFF. A RIPOFF pure and simple. Angel is a born liar. Their conclusion (which I will post when I get permission) is that this rip-off artist put a CORRUPT PIRATED COPY of WIN 10 and bought an Activation Key for $20-30, charging me $120 for ruining my laptop. Now it will cost me over $100 (plus more time) to replace this POS Win 10 with Win 7 Pro when I BUY the OEM. 8. In other words, this CRIMINAL put a CORRUPT, ILLEGAL (not an OEM or that disc would have been in the drive NOT a copy!) COPY of Win 10, against me wishes, charged me $120 and refused to change it to what I wanted. 9. The great lie of this charlatan was that Win 7 Pro is not supported anymore which is bullshit, but guess was is NOT supported anymore by Windows... [fanfare] Win 10. Why ? (for the record, this is my first Google review but this place is so bad I didn't want others to go through the same experience) This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and don't do business at PC Techman unless you want to support a racist creep. This was absolutely ridiculous. Please read this review if you want the honest truth about my HORRIBLE experience at PC Techman. In short, he did not even fix the problem while trying to make me pay and went through my personal photos.This place is unprofessional and fraudulent. First of all, I spilled a small amount of water on my laptop. I was cleaning out the inside and accidentally got a cotton swab stuck in my headphone jack. So, I started looking for a reputable place in Gainesville where I could get the cotton swab removed from my headphone jack. I took it to PC Techman. Angel tells me it will cost $59 to repair and will be ready by Monday. Fine. I asked if he was BBB credited to which he explains to me that it's a fraud and goes on to say that every bad review online was done by his old boss at Impact Computers and starts talking badly of his costumers and making racists comments toward "Chinese kids" who bring him their laptops. This was a major red flag to me but I needed my computer fixed promptly and did not know where else to take it other than Best Buy so I left my computer. My friend (who also brought his laptop to be looked at) was told that his 2011 Macbook was completely ruined because of a bad battery and was only worth about $80 retail. (Gazelle is offering him over $250). Angel then goes on to unscrew the back of his Macbook and ends up stripping one of the screws which we didn't notice until we got home. Tuesday rolls around and I call and ask if my computer is ready, he basically acts as if he has no clue who I am and tells me to call back in ten minutes. So, I called back in ten minutes and he tells me my laptop is ready. I go to pick it up and pay. He brings out my laptop and I start observing the headphone jack. The cotton swab is still stuck on the inside.... I begin questioning him why there's still cotton stuck inside and he tells me that the computer is supposed to be like that.... I go on to say that that's incorrect because I know that headphone jacks don't have fluffy white stuff inside. He tells me that the headphone jack still works (which makes me really upset because I brought it to a repair store because I did not want to use the jack until it was removed or replaced). He then asks my boyfriend to hold one end of the laptop and he begins looking inside the headphone jack (probably for the first time) with a flashlight and prodding with a piece of metal. I could have done this at home. He then takes my computer to the back of the room which he says to give him a minute. At this point, I say that I feel uncomfortable leaving my computer with him when he told me my computer was ready and now he's trying to fix it on the spot. I basically demand a refund because I can clearly tell he did not fix my problem at all. Costumers walk in and he tells me he'll refund my card. When I go home and open my desktop, all of my old pictures are open..... so creepy. And on top of that, with inspection I've noticed a bunch of scratches that were not there before. The guy who owns this place is the closest thing possible to a human garbage can. Traded in 2 computers along with $450 to him in exchange for a laptop that could run Adobe Premiere. Ended up going into the shop just for the laptop not to turn on at all. Then 3 months went by of him dodging my calls and texts just to find out he was on vacation not even working on what I had paid him for. Then I went in to just get my money back (Not even the 2 computers I had gave him) and he said he did not have the money to give me. So 3 months with no laptop, no refund (mind you I needed this laptop for my job). Ended up having to threaten to sue and he harassed me calling me "babe" and telling me to talk to his lawyer, which is funny because I could have easily sued for more than $450 with all of the evidence I had. After this he blocked my number and kept my money. Wasn't until we showed him printed proof and talked to the police that he finally wrote a check for my $450 back, he also didn't have any of my computers I had given him. Stear clear of this man he is shady and seems to genuinely be a terrible person who's only real motive in life is to eat and play video games. I have had many computer issues throughout the years and PC Techman is FAR SUPERIOR to anyone else I have used. The customer service is amazing and I was literally shocked at how quickly my computer was repaired. I had brought my computer to a store at home for a screen issue. I was without my computer for two weeks over the summer and they didnt fix the issue. When I got to school I brought it to PC Techman. He was able to diagnose the problem within minutes. He also had my computer back to me in perfect working condition with a new screen THE SAME DAY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PC TECHMAN TO ANYONE IN THE GAINESVILLE AREA WITH COMPUTER ISSUES!!!! Quick to diagnose my dead laptop and great with communication to me as far as my options and the ultimate data recovery that had my information back to me the next day even though it was a holiday weekend.
