This company is deceptive if not criminal in their advertising, non-responsive in customer service. I tried to follow up with outreach to this seller on the slicer and a dishwasher, but got no response. I would never buy from this seller again an would strongly reccomend avoiding PCI auctions. I run a bakery and recently had an equipment failure, so I urgently needed a replacement mixer. I purchased one through PCI Auctions for $2,800 plus $500 in shipping, expecting a working piece of equipment. When the mixer arrived, it was broken and completely unusable. I won an item fairly through what was supposed to be an auction, then after the auction ended they refused to honor the sale claiming the "reserve wasn't met." My max bid was $2, but they charged me $10 by multiplying $2 by 4 and adding tax. My invoice showed only $10, and this was the only receipt I received. I purchased an espresso machine, it was not specified that wasn't working at all, all the wiring inside was cut, when we get there to pick up the item, they didn't allows to check the unit before paying full, we asked them if they tested it, the girl at front desk told us, "if the Description of the unit doesn't mention any problem is because works fine, also we got all the equipment from a reputable source". Totally bs. then refused any credit or anything at all stating it's an auction where they say they test and trusted them but when politely asked multiple times they refused any support or even a portion of a refund. BUYER BEWARE: Purchased a "tested and working" mixer and it does not work. The manual bowl lift function doesn't work at all so even if the machine worked (don't know because I can't even test it) the machine cannot be used because the mixer wouldn't come in contact with the ingredients. Do Not believe PCI item descriptions - false advertising with electronic items. Deceptive business practices. BRAND NEW SCRATCH AND DENT! 2024 Vollrath VP12 40831 Stainless Steel Medium Vacuum Packaging Machine with 12" Sealing Bar. 110-120 Volts, 1 Phase. Tested and Working! I purchased what was listed as "Brand New, Scratch and Dent", "Tested and Working" chamber vacuum sealer. When I plugged it in and lowered the lid, the noise coming from the unit was so loud I immediately knew something was not right. Upon closer inspection, the entire unit looked out of alignment. I removed the back plate(loose and missing a screw) and discovered the inside was covered in oil. The base plate attaching the motor and pump had broken free from the screw securing it to the unit. The metal section(part of the frame) holding the plug and circuit breaker was bent causing the circuit breaker to break. "Brand New, Scratch and Dent" would have worked for me, but this unit had more than scratches and dents. It had multiple broken pieces with oil coating most of the parts, inside and out. "Tested and Working" is a deceiving description: it sounds as though the unit was indeed tested and the vacuum seal works. When I emailed them about the "Tested and working" description, their response was: "At PCI, "testing" means we confirm the item has basic power functionality - that it turns on. We do not test for full operational use or demonstrate its capabilities." False advertising? It sure seems like it to me. PCI's response to my email of misleading and false description: "Because all auction sales are final and items are sold as-is without warranty, we cannot process a refund or return for this item." If the item was not falsely advertised as brand new, tested and working, I would understand the response. However, the descriptions used in advertising the unit I purchased were deceiving and falsely advertised. This business has multiple auctions per week. I am not the first person to encounter deceiving descriptions and won't be the last. I have learned an expensive lesson from this purchase and will not be a future customer of PCI auctions due to their dishonest business practices. Shady business, items Not as described. I get it, it is an auction, items are sold as is. However when an item is represented, described, and pictured complete and working. You expect it to be. That was not the case. When I received my item. It was clearly broken in pieces. But the pictures showed it complete. And I do not mean the stock pictures they use all over their listings. These were pictures of the actual product. Instead of owning up to their mistakes they make up excuses, and refuse to do what is right. Very poor customer service. Wonder how long they will stay in business? I read several reviews about their total lack of good detailed descriptions. And the response by their management on how they provide the best descriptions possible. Well...... Here's how they do it. Learned this talking to their employees. They have a person taking the pictures. The images are then sent to someone in an office who writes the description based on the images. Should have looked at reviews on here first. I did not and now we are paying for it! We bid and won an espresso machine that looked great in their pictures and they listed that the only thing wrong with it was that it was missing a hopper lid. When we went to pick up the item, the front was off the machine and we could tell the wires were cut. I called the espresso machine company and learned that wires are cut when a machine gets decommissioned and the front plate is broken so that it cannot be hidden that its a decommissioned machine. When I emailed PCI to let them know this, they just keep informing me that there was no way for them to know the item was broken and per their policy, they will not issue any refund because all items are listed "as is". I explained that they had to know it was broken and chose to be deceitful in pictures and descriptions, but still getting no where with them. I told them I would give them one more opportunity to make it right before posting reviews, and here we are. So, Bidder beware. They are very deceitful and will not accept any responsibility when wrong!!! UPDATE: You did NOT "include images of the item to portray the current state as best as possible"!!! The front cover doesn't even stay on, you had to balance it on there or tape it for your "online pictures". Had you actually included pics of of the current state, bidders could see that wires were cut and machine is broken. (See my attached pics that DOES portray the current state accurately!!!) Seriously cool auction house -- easy and straight forward business. Auctions are conducted online then pick up in person. Everything is clearly listed - there is usually a walk through day where you can view the items before bidding on them - then bid away and pick up in person. The staff is kind and accommodating to guests whom have traveled far -- pay for your wining items in person then wait at your car for staff to 'deliver' them- easy and convenient! They will use loopholes and tell you things so that they do not have to take responsibility for items broken or lost during shipping. BEWARE of deceptive incorrect descriptions. Listing I bought was described as "3 various Dell Computer Towers. Includes 19" 3 times the bid". Now I expected 3 computer towers and at least one 19" monitor like description clearly says. Pictures showed 3 monitors and one tower. Went to pick up and they said auction was for ONLY the 3 monitors, NO towers even though it said 3 towers in the title? Heather and 2 employees all agreed it was their fault, and the "typo" (mistake) in the description made it misleading but she said the pictures "trump" the listing title (remember THAT BEFORE you bid). But when I showed them there was a tower right there in the picture they insisted I already got that one (yeah only because I bought it separately in another listing). Items were not expensive at all but the thing is I got ZERO help from anyone and no offers to correct the deal or cancel the sale. Heather said "Contract is iron clad" and everyone agreed Heather was the boss and nobody can contradict her. I've gotten good stuff here before but when you drive an hour round trip and don't get what you are supposed to get and it's the fault of the auction you expect them to offer some kind of help. read more

You better go look at the item or items your interested bidding on because at least 75 percent of it is junk. Items are left outside in any kind of weather. The pictures are deceptive and the description is even worse. Of course the manager is going to defend there poor business tactic's, really should have a new manager that truly knows how to run a honest company and own up to mistakes or deceptive practices. The only good thing is that the outside loading fellows are at least helpful and kind. Ordered some equipment for my business. They packaged and shipped it, but when it arrived, they had stacked a dishwasher that had not been drained on top of smaller items and an espresso machine, causing damage and rust buildup. In addition, they stated that a prep table I purchased was able to turn on, but when I received it all of the electronics in it were burnt out. When I reached out to them, they told me that there was no proof that they caused the damage and all of the items were in working order when they sent them. They refused to do anything about it. The guys who came to pick up the equipment and everyone in their office were very professional and friendly, and the rest of the operation ran without a hitch. I don't know what was wrong with Amanda, but she was snippy with me from the minute I walked in the door. When I asked questions in the office, she said as a previous bidder I should know all the rules and where their other warehouse was. While I did in fact bid one other time, I forfeited the $9 item instead of driving 2 a hour trip for it... so this was my first time at PCI and I was still learning, and she had zero patience for it. When my item was missing it's power supply, I was referred back to Amanda. I called, she said "wait a minute" and hung up on me. 10 minutes later I called back, she said "I sent my manager over, isn't he there yet?" I apologized, I didn't know that was the plan because she didn't communicate it with me. Her manager confirmed the power supply wasn't there and again referred me to Amanda, whom with my patience had finally run out with. She told me I could take the item as-is, or I could leave it with her while she figures out what to do. This item was a "Open" sign worth $20, and it's 2 hours of driving to get there and home. Not much of a choice, honestly. When I asked if a partial refund was an option, she said no. Full refund & return of item? No. Anything helpful at all? Not at this auction house! When I questioned information she gave me earlier in the day, she about went off the handle. I told her what she said about credit cards being charged at 8am was not in the terms & conditions like she told me it was. She changed her source, saying it's printed on the invoice (which they send at 10pm and expect you to read before 8am). My advice is this: there are plenty of auctions in the area, go to literally any of them before turning to this place. Judging by the other reviews and my own experience, they are willing to screw anyone over to make a buck. They don't accept fault for their mistakes nor care to help you correct them. It took about a month and a half to receive my two items and here's why. 1. One of the items I won was listed completely incorrectly and I had to request a refund for the item. If you're going to list something, you have to check that you're listing it properly and not as an entirely different item. 2. Communication was virtually non-existent. It took way too long to get in contact with them. The head of the office didn't respond to emails. And to top it all off, when the items arrived, one of the parts to the item was incorrect. (The item was a Hobart mixer and the dough hook was the wrong type. I had to buy a new dough hook for the correct model. Fits perfectly now!) read more

I am beginning to get used to how PCI operates. If the listing says new, it will probably be used, missing parts and have some damage. Pictures that will be posted will only be vague images of the product (not sufficient for a remote inspection). The workers care nothing of your purchase whether you invest $5 0r $500. A "new" refrigerator will be loaded on its side and pushed into the truck bed. That being said, I have purchased some metro rack shelving that I really like. read more

Bought an Ice machine that of coarse does not work, it took them three weeks to get it ready for freight then told me freight was about $450. So i drove 6 hours to go get the 150 lb paper weight. the top was dented, plug smashed and front leg ripped off. had someone come out to see why it wasnt working he said it would cost more to fix then its worth. It is now three weeks since my auction closed and they won't return phone calls. I live locally very close and mail would only take 1 day or maybe 2. So infuriated with this company right now. Purchased multiple pieces of equipment from them and I have been burnt for the last time now. Purchased a 5 bay steam table and when it was delivered all of the glass was broken in it and all four legs damaged beyond repair. That one, I chalked up to being the shippers fault maybe. But today i had a repairman come out to service an open front, merchandising refrigerator that i purchased only to find out that it doesn't even have a freaking compressor in it. I was told that the double stack natural gas convection ovens that I bought were in good working condition. I purchased these ovens from PCI a few months ago before our kitchen was completed. Yesterday the gas was turned on and both ovens were inoperative. Today the repairman came out and told me I need both fan motors, both solenoids, and wiring that was ripped out of the units. Repair costs will be north of $3000. I paid over $2000 for these ovens and will most likely be in them for $5500+. A couple thousand more and I'd have had new ones. STAY AWAY FROM THESE GUYS.
