So thankful for PD Labs! They are the only compounding pharmacy I know of in the Us that will fill one of my RX's! Their customer service is amazing too. Recently had an RX's tracking stall after a week. Called PD Labs to inquire because I was one day away from running out of a critical medication and they discovered my unit number had been missing from the address. They shipped a new RX overnight at their expense! The original RX eventually showed up that afternoon (the post person had guessed my unit number based on all of my other mail) and it was too late in the day to inform them (due to time difference). New RX arrived over the weekend. I called next business day to inform them of both orders arriving and asked how I could send the duplicate order back. They kindly told me to keep it for future use. OK, so you go to the ENT and are finally given an explanation of why you've been smelling mold for the past three years...yep, there's a fungus among us. Amazingly, while there are 3 bazillion different steroid nasal sprays, there is no patent medicine for this particular malady. Enter ye days of olde: Apothecary to the rescue. Okay, okay, well, nowadays they call this a 'compounding pharmacy'. But there's only one in town, and, happily, it's a division of People's Pharmacy. "Eye of newt, and toe of frog" it's not. Electronic transmission of the prescription from doctor to the pharmacy, and delivery to the People's location nearest you, that's how it works in the 21st century. Best of all, I thought I'd have to bird dog this process and it would take several days, but instead I was pleasantly surprised by the pharmacy CALLING ME to inform me my prescription was ready that same afternoon. When I asked if my prescription was actually at the pharmacy location, I was placed on hold momentarily and then told that it had already been delivered, a scant six hours from when I left my doctor's office. What incredible customer service! I sure hope I don't ever need another compounded prescription, but I am so glad this option exists locally! read more

My older, tiny, grey kittycat is sick. Sick enough to where she will have to be on a chemo drug for the rest of her life, but she doesn't actually have cancer. The medication needs to be compounded at a place with a special "hood," and that place is Specialty Compounding. They used to have an affiliation with People's RX, but something about no longer having a delivery driver or something, so now I have to drive (or have a friend that works near there) to Cedar Park to pick them up. It's kind of cool to walk in and to be able to see the pharmacists working their magic through a window all decked out in their PPE (personal protective equipment). There's never been a wait, the staff has always been friendly and always asks if I need instructions on how to give the meds. Also, even for something like this, which needs to be refrigerated, they don't mind overnight mailing, for just a little bit of extra money. VERY handy when my arm was broken and I was pretty much homebound. The phone refill line is handy, but it's sort of a pain in the ass to figure out how to talk to a real, live person. The only other reason I give them 4 stars and not 5 is that I never seem to get a phone call when her meds are ready to be picked up. It's annoying because I do have to go so far out of my way to pick them up, I want it to be ready when I get there (back to the, "it's difficult to get a real live person on the phone" thing, can't really call to verify). Their turnaround time seems pretty fast, though, usually. Her medication is "triple fish" flavored (they actually grind up three kinds of fish and add them to the concoction) and she LOVES it, which is good, 'cause, you know, it's saving her life. read more

The medications were either wrong or we were given the wrong dosage - different than what our doctor had written. Since my doctor recommended PD Labs years ago, we have never had any issues.
