I am pretty disappointed if I am being honest, I used to go to the John young pkwy location but they closed for another store to be made in replace so now I order form here and the first time my sandwich was made completely incorrect and when I order a Large Fry I received 4...4 singular fries. Please put some respect on the Lake Nona location. The employees there specifically Michael Prado are so nice, helpful and friendly. Let's talk about the food, hands down better than Raising Cane's in my opinion because at least PDQ seasons the chicken and has different sauce options for dipping. I got the honey butter tenders and my friend got the spicy tender. Both were so good. The best sauces were the ranch and the sweet sriracha. The PDQ sauce and creamy garlic were good too, but the other two were higher up because of the tenders we chose. All in all, this was my first time trying PDQ and I am so sad that they don't have a PDQ in Wisconsin. 10/10 definitely recommend, especially if your a big fan of Raisins Cane. read more

I'm glad I found out there was a pdq around this area because when I'm in town visiting family I always end up craving chicken tenders from pdq and I am so glad this is right nearby! The staff at this location is usually very friendly and the chicken meals I order have always been consistent without any problems. I usually get a grilled chicken sandwich but this time I got the 5 piece grilled chicken tender meal. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the seasoning they put on the tenders always is the right amount of flavor. I absolutely love all of their sauces and their hot bleu cheese sauce is the best in my opinion. I usually get the fries as a side but this time they were a little too greasy for me which is unfortunate because I love their fries. It also comes with a drink and I got a coke zero which always is so refreshing ice cold. I am not one to give an unfair review, I always like to be fair and put into consideration that these are peoples livelihood. This restaurant was empty when we walked in. I feel like that should've been a red flag. However, it was very clean end to end. I ordered a salad to play it safe and I ended up sick with food poisoning. I don't know if they had a bad streak yesterday, but I feel like they really need to look into that. By the good grace of God my son did not eat the food because it tasted nasty to him. Now this is it my first love affair with PDQ! When we lived in Sarasota Florida we were graced with a PDQ less than a year before we moved back to Orlando. It was with great anticipation that I watched the construction of this delectable delight. One of the coolest things about PDQ is that they make their sauces fresh from scratch every single day. I have in fact Picked up a rider when driving for Uber and drop them off at PDQ at 5 o'clock in the morning just so they could start making sauces for the day. The layout of this PDQ restaurant is That it looks like the two or three others I've been in. That's not a bad thing I actually like it because I always know where the circular large tables are! Some notable things are the foot controlled handwashing station. Come people we are eating with our hands here (me anyways) so why not wash up before..:and after you eat! The staff is always very nice. The food is made fresh to order. They are constantly adding new things to try the menu... Fire roasted broccoli is delicious as well as the corn side dish and my favorite dish of all is the peanut chicken rice bowl Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum! I only have a one beef and it's kind of a small one but all these locations I've been to have either corn hole or a bocce you like play area however it's a notoriously located directly next to the area of the drive-through where people come racing around... No friends or barrier that would make any difference so it just seems great idea of a really bad idea at the same time. In all honesty I don't let my kids play with it since it's next to the street so it's not really that big of a deal to me it was just a sidenote. Overall PDQ gets five stars all day long in my opinion the chicken is better the breading is fresher it doesn't have any funky flavor they don't butter their bread and just a better variety of stuff. I may add also that if you go to the drive-through when you order you do not order at a menu lit up in your face but rather you pull up and actually talk to someone making you feel fairly confident that your order will come as you like. I had to try the Grilled Hawaiian sandwich that came with a slice of grilled pineapple and bacon. That sounds like heaven on a sandwich...and it was pretty good. Sadly the chicken was a bit over cooked, which left it a tad dry. But, the sauce, slaw, pineapple, and bacon really made up for it. This restaurant is like Chick- Fil-A with a few twists and killer shakes. Similar prices in that full meals are not cheap. We got two sandwiches with sides upgraded fountain drinks to shakes and 2 cookies to go for just under $30. I had the pimento crunch (fried) chicken sandwich that has bacon and potato chips on the sandwich. Really the chips were an unnecessary novelty and if the bacon was crisp it would have had plenty of texture. Good sandwich sans chips. My husband had the Hawaiian (fried) chicken sandwich that also had bacon plus pineapple and a mildly spicy slaw. He got traditional fries and PDQ has their own special seasonings. He enjoyed it. The guy at the counter recommended the zucchini fries and I asked about the grease factor. But he said get them extra crispy and they won't be greasy. Why did I not question why more time in the fryer made them less greasy? So yes they are good but if you don't scarf them down quick they are greasy. My stomach started protesting the fries and fried sandwich before I finished my meal. The restaurant is extra clean and modern. They have tables and booths plus 2 TVs showing general news and kind of loud background music. It is great for families as they have a big hand washing station similar to the one they had in my grade school. This accommodates a bunch of folks at once. Outside they have games and other stuff that is fun. The ice tea looks good and coke fountain machine with hundred choices. The restaurant is quick serve and drive through. The food is served on cake sheet trays like Burgerfi and the shakes take a little longer because they make them by hand. Nice touch is the shakes have a thick sturdy straw. They call your name when your food is ready so you go to the counter and pick it up. There is an employee clearing tables and offering to go containers. Next time I will tell them my name is Napoleanhead just to hear them say it in the PA and I would try the PDQ beans and rice that also has edamame, black-eyed peas and corn with basmati rice. read more

I thought I already did this review. We were up in the area for a doctors appointment and it was my dinner time. We had not been to one of these before and decided to give them a shot. We went through the drive-thru and ordering was easy. My companion got one of the chicken sandwiches with fries and a drink. I ordered the spicy chicken strip dinner (3 piece) with fries and a drink as well. They did not have any of the waffle fries so we were offered straight fries instead. If we knew how big these orders were going to be we would only have gotten one. They tasted great and were cooked perfectly. My companion said the sandwich was excellent. I ordered sauce with my fries but did not receive any. This was disappointing as well as no napkins. The chicken strips was the perfect size order and they had great flavor and some good heat. Sauce would have been nice but they tasted great without it. Next time I will double check the bag before we leave. Second PDQ location I've been to and second time eating at this restaurant...restaurant was very bright and seemed to have a very upscale vibe even though it's fast food. The fries were very salty and cold, plus they're pretty flimsy. I definitely will not be returning here. I will say though, the place was very clean inside, and the drive-through girl, Robin, was super duper sweet! They do have good sauces though, which they freshly make.
