Made a line and I ordered a grilled Hawaiian sandwich, with a side of zucchini fries and a homemade lemonade for $11.00 (in line with chick-fil-a). Woot, Woot! Five stars for a great fast food spot offering healthy and delicious options I'm a big fan of PDQ. They serve fresh food with a lot of variety. I love their tenders (with or without breading) and their salads are awesome. The kale and Brussels sprouts ceasear is legit. My favorite seasonal item is the Thanksgiving sandwich and it's coming soon. This location is brand new and very spacious. The lines are long because they're very popular. However, they move the line fairly quickly. All of the employees are very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is also very clean. I'm also a huge fan of the sides. I like the zucchini fries, the caramel apple slices and the broccoli best. They also have awesome fries and great shakes if you're looking for a treat. The prices are higher than some fast food places, but still reasonable. Overall, this is a great addition to the community and I will definitely be back! read more

4 stars for a fantastic new PDQ location. My wife and I had to stop by the store in Lake Nona the other day and couldn't believe that we found a PDQ! We had been waiting for a PDQ (which I would describe as a cross between Zaxby's and Chic Fil A) to open up in Orlando for years. We made our way into the parking lot (be mindful that the drive-thru line starts in the back part of the property and doesn't have great signage yet) and headed on inside. The interior of this PDQ, like many of the others, is wide open and clean. We went to stand in the line, looked at the little menus (they also had a digital menu to look at if you wanted), and pondered about what we should get. While this restaurant has 2 coca cola freestyle soda fountains, the advertisements for the banana pudding shake looked to delicious to pass up. Once we got to the front of the line, a super polite cashier greeted us and asked if we had any questions. My wife asked about a couple options, and the cashier actually responded with input on both items rather than the generic "they are both good." While this led her to get the Southern Pimento Chicken sandwich (I tried a bite and it was solid), I decided to get some bbq tenders (be sure to ask to have them tossed in sauce) along with a sweet potato side and the banana pudding shake. All of the food came out quick and tasted fresh and amazing. Overall, the Lake Nona PDQ delivers the PDQ goods. We will probably chalk this up to the newness of staff and processes and function. My wife ordered one of their grilled chicken sandwiches and sent it back. It was fatty and tough to eat. They gave her the choice of what to replace it with but no free coupon or cookie or something to get us back in the door. Stick to the tenders the first time around. That is what they are built on and those were good! Lots of sauces to choose from and fries are good. We just weren't blown away. My son, 15, said he is more full leaving PDQ than Chick-fil-A...so that is a good thing. 4 of us ate for $35 and that was 3 meals and a sandwich. read more

Always love coming here for either their tendies or the Honey Butter Chicken sammy. Everyone is so nice and helpful. And everything was very clean. This past visit I ordered the Honey Butter Chicken sandwich, add cheddar cheese and bacon. And one of their seasonal items was sweet potato waffle fries with a spiced (not spicy) whipped marshmallow sauce. The sandwich was amazing as always with super juicy fried chicken and honey butter sauce oozing out from the sandwich. As for the fries, they were perfectly paired with the marshmallow sauce, and I do love my tots! Did I mention they have a coca-cola freestyle machine with over 100 options!? So good. Okay guys, finally got around to try PDQ after reading all these great reviews and people raving about it and I do not understand the hype at all. The chicken tenders are by far my least favorite I've tried out of places like Publix tenders, chick fil a, Popeyes, zaxbys. It doesn't even make any of my lists. 4.9/10. The grilled chicken strips were alright 5.6/10 And the zucchini fries were subpar as well. 5.1/10. The creamy garlic sauce was alright. Everything at PDQ did not impress me at all. Just opened a few days ago. Place was packed and drive thru had a line. I went in and waited maybe 10 minutes before I got to the counter. You place your order and they call you name when the food is ready. I got tenders and fries. The fries was very good for being shoestring and the tenders was the best I have had so far. Do yourself a favor if you get a bowl, ask for sauce on the side!! Or don't be adventurous and stick with the honey butter chicken sandwich. This Thai peanut bowl looked like it had too much sauce just by looking at it so I tried to scoop out as much as I could with a spoon before eating it. PDQ is a North Carolina chain. I had been to one in Gainesville and wasn't super impressed. The food I thought was pretty good but it felt like a slightly more expensive Chick Fila (and I really like Chick Fila). I really like this branch. Each location apparently has some latitude in their menu choices and they offered a Pimento Cheese Chicken Sandwich. It was awesome. I also got the zucchini fries with Garlic cream sauce and the banana pudding milkshake. I was very impressed by the quality of everything I got. I would definitely go back to this particular location if they continue to show innovation and creativity with choices from outside the standard menu. read more

This isn't an overall review, but a seasonal one ... thanks to the Turkey Sandwich! It's a crispy fried, double Butterball turkey cutlet sandwich with a yummy cranberry spread that features pieces of cranberry, along with a mayo that really tastes like stuffing (or dressing, like some of us say) and lettuce on a brioche bun. This sandwich is DELICIOUS! It's the perfect fall flavor paired with the sweet potato waffle fries with spiced marshmallow dip (which can serve as a dessert, if you'd like!). I also got the pumpkin spice shake and it does not disappoint! There's so much hype out there with the pumpkin spice and I feel like most of them are disappointing when it comes to flavor (I'm talking to you, Starbucks PSL). This location is good when you don't go in the afternoon. I've been here plenty of times and it seems like when I go between 6-9pm it's horrible, and I receive the nasty gross pieces of tenders that have been in the fryer all day. I also got zucchini fries and they were too lazy to get more or something, because I got mostly regular fries and hardly any zucchini fries (hence the photo). And lastly, they forgot the sauces I asked for when they told me to pull up and wait for my zucchini fries and then when I went back in line to get more, they gave me the wrong one. When PDQ first opened in Lake Nona, my co-workers and I were extremely excited. Our initial visit we had multiple orders and were impressed with not only how easy it was to order, the quality of the food was excellent as well. However, since the quality of food has downgraded. Last week, I had the Thai bowl, barely had chicken in it, there was way too much sauce making the rice clumpy. I was very disappointed as my expectation was high from past experiences. Today, both my co-worker and I had the Chicken Cali Club in which we both found very minimal, dry and bland to say the most. I was also, disappointed to find out the tomato-feta salad had been discontinued as well as the Hawaiian. Two of the best things on the menu, GONE! I will say the shakes are top tier and the chicken tenders are good. PDQ is not anything close to Chick-fil-a (ALWAYS consistent).PDQ is now hit or miss and its unfortunate. Yay for a new "fast food" joint -- that's a little more on the higher end of fast food! I was literally having one of those days where (this will sound horrible) I didn't want to get out of the car. Not only did I not want to get out of the car (except for going to get food and getting out when I got back home) but I wanted good fast food and something I hadn't had in a while, or in this case, never had. Yelp pointed me in the direction of PDQ! When I arrived and proceeded through the drive thru I was greeted cheerfully by a gentleman at the window. Although it was my first time there I managed to take a look at the menu prior to getting there so I'd have some kind of idea of what I'd want. I told him it was my first visit there and he welcomed me and thanked me. He mentioned if I did a survey on the receipt I'd get a free sandwich (sweet!). On to the next window where I was greeted by another cheerful employee! Their cheerfulness and friendliness put me in an even better mood! I ended up ordering the southern pimento crunch which consisted of crispy chicken (it was massive too), pimento cheese, lettuce, sea salt potato chips, and bacon. So mind you when reading my brain apparently only registered the fried chicken and pimento part because when I received it and saw it with chips and bacon on it, it was pretty massive! The sandwich was ammmaazzinngggg! You really can't go wrong with pimento cheese and fried chicken. Their fried chicken recipe is quite tasty too and not full of breading! Again, being my first time and not realizing how massive the sandwich was, I made it a meal and upgraded to their zucchini fries. The fries were just okay, I think I'd pick another side in the future. They also have a few sauces to pick from so I chose the sweet sriracha to go with my fries. Normally I like the combination but something about this one, I didn't particularly care for it. It was almost as if it had too much honey in it. Went here for lunch a few days after opening so naturally it was super busy. I have to say that they have the friendliest staff of any restaurant I have ever been to! There was even someone directing parking/drive through traffic. As far as the food- the breaded chicken is not overly breaded and the meat is super moist. I would skip the grilled tenders next time and stick with breaded. We loved their dipping sauces especially the creamy garlic and the buffalo bleu. The fries were okay.
