Meals are cafeteria style with limited options of BBQ. There were three of us for dinner at 5:30 pm on a Saturday evening. Two of us had pulled pork, potato salad and carrots. The pulled pork was so dried out it was not edible, the carrots were cold, and the potato salad was okay. The piece of johnny cake that came with the meal was the highlight of dinner. It was moist with just the right amount of sweetness to take it from cornbread to johnny cake. The other diner had the two meat platter of burnt ends and ribs with green beans and potato salad.Their comment was the burnt ends were beyond burnt, like trying to eat charcoal. The ribs were okay for four tiny ribs loaded in sauce. The green beans were delicious as was the johnny cake. The potato salad was okay but had an odd spicy taste. Here comes the really bad news; for two meals that were not edible, and one only half eaten our bill for cafeteria food was $92.00!! I find that pretty expensive for cafeteria style BBQ food, which isn't good. When talking with someone (not sure if they were the owners or not), they said the other food takes too long to cook when they have events. I would suggest that they have a regular menu on non-event nights, with a very limited menu on event nights. I would come back for an event but I definitely will NOT be returning for a meal. Very disappointing, expensive meal.

I wish they would blend the bison with a fattier meat to lighten up the meat patties. Because the meat is so lean the burger was quite dense. All of the sides were delicious. Just a note if you are a coffee drinker: they only had powdered creamer. It was fun roaming around the restaurant and watching the bison being fed. The parking lot is gravel and had muddy ruts.
