This is our second time using PDS Plumbing and Air and they are super great. The first time they came out, we were having issues with our air conditioner and they were able to replace a coil in our HVAC system that was faulty. They do a great job explaining what (if anything) is wrong. They take a lot of photos to provide evidence and they don't just speak out of their butt! They don't pressure you into getting anything that you don't need, however, they do give you recommendations on what might make things run smoother/better, but there is absolutely zero pressure to get any of these extra things. This time, Mario was the AC technician who came out and did the maintenance check on our HVAC and furnace; he also changed out the filter in the furnace. Based on the interaction, I did not feel comfortable proceeding and asked him to cancel the work. I still paid the $79 assessment fee. I later sent a handyman to the property, who found the actual issue in minutes: a loose hose under the sink that simply needed to be tightened. No faucet replacement was needed at all. We had water leaking from the toilet in our master bathroom, so I submitted service requests through Yelp. PDS Plumbing and Air responded quickly and was able to send someone out the fastest, so we went with them. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. When the technician arrived, I tried to explain the issue, but he seemed disinterested and disengaged. He removed the toilet, replaced the wax seal, and said it was fixed. He also checked the main water valve outside and told me the pressure was high--possibly due to a failed water regulator. He quoted $1,500 to replace both the regulator and shutoff valve. When I hesitated and said I needed to think about it, he immediately began pressuring me to approve the work on the spot. My wife explained that we're going through a difficult time right now--she's battling breast cancer and we're on a fixed income. His response? "Plumbing issues don't care what other issues people are having. They need to be fixed before things get worse. Can I go ahead and swap these out for you?" We declined and asked for the quote instead. He then claimed that unless we replaced the regulator and shutoff valve, the wax ring warranty would be void--which is just plain false. High water pressure has nothing to do with the wax seal on a toilet. Two days later, the toilet started leaking again. This time I did a more thorough search and called a different plumbing company. Within five minutes of arriving, their tech pulled the toilet and immediately found a slab leak underneath--something the PDS tech completely missed. The lack of attention to detail, the misinformation, and the hard-sell tactics are all unacceptable. I wish I could give PDS Plumbing and Air negative stars. I now have a reliable plumbing company I trust--but it's definitely not PDS. read more

Couldn't ask for best customer service from PDS. My wife and I had a blower motor in one of our attack furnaces fail that caused very loud rattling and shaking of the unit. Enough to potentially dislodge our gas line! After battling with our home warranty company (AHS) for over a week we decided to contact PDS directly because we have a 2 month old newborn in our house and American Home Shield couldn't have been less helpful. Insert PDS. Their service tech Brian was at our home with 1 hour of our initial call and we explained the whole issues to him. He did a full system evaluation and showed us not only where our immediate issues were but where we could have potential issues in the future. Brian was extremely personable and professional. He provided repair options ranging from simply fixing the immediate issues through a full system overview. Because we have a 20 year old system in our home he advised on replacement options as well. His field manager Marcus arrived with 30 minutes and walked my wife and through all of the replacement options for a new unit without any high pressure sales tactics or anything. After looking further into the repair options Brian called around for parts and due to the system being older one of the parts needed to be special ordered and would come with a $1400.00 shipping fee. Without hesitation Brian pivoted and helped us come up with a more realistic option and was patient with my family and I answering all of our questions and even contacting his leadership to help workout the best fix possible. If you have any HVAC issues in the Temecula Valley area I couldn't recommend PDS plumbing and air more. Ask for Brian. read more

I'm beyond frustrated and disappointed with this company. I initially left a positive review after the first visit, but I've since taken it down after realizing what really happened. We paid $350 for a technician named Marcelino to fix a leak and replace a cartridge. A few days later, the handle and cartridge popped right out again. When they came back, instead of taking responsibility, Marcelino tried to upsell us on a $2,000 valve and pressure regulator replacement. I specifically told him my parents don't work and can't afford that kind of cost--but he still kept pushing. We said no, just fix what you already worked on. He agreed, but saying this would be the last time and that it wouldn't be covered under warranty again. A week later, the same issue happened. My husband checked it and discovered Marcelino never even installed the washer that comes with the cartridge. That's basic, standard stuff. It felt intentional--like he wanted the repair to fail so we'd be forced to pay more. When we brought this up to the company, all they said was "sorry" and had the audacity to offer my parents a coupon for a future visit--as if we'd ever trust them again. How dare you try to make money off my elderly parents when you knew their situation? This whole experience feels dishonest, manipulative, and like a money grab. I contacted PDS through Yelp to take a look at my leaking secondary drain. Mario and Jorge were my initial techs. They did a full inspection of my system and communicated with me professionally and throughout the process. They found that my evaporator coil was about 95% clogged, and heat exchanger was separated and leaking water. They immediately called their manager Marcus who came over to inspect the heat exchanger. We found that my system needed to be replaced. Marcus went over all my options for financing and helped me make the best decision for my family and system. I will be brief, I requested a quote for a basic gas 50 gal water heater replacement. Marcelino's estimate was $5000, he spoke to his supervisor and reduced to $4000 if installed the following day. They touted a special brand which had the same 6 year warranty as those sold at Lowe's or home depot for $600 to $700 with the same warranties and 1 year labor. My WATER HEATER BY Rheem purchased at Lowe's is 13 years old and still operating but I chose to get an estimate from pds after receiving an email ad. I am a senior citizen, please beware. A followup the next after the above yelp review was posted, I received a call from the company's co-owner, Mr. Negretti, he listened to the events I experienced and he apologized to me expressing that this was an isolated field call and he would have a retraining of his involved employees.
