We can tell because she'll send text messages and pictures of them to give us updates -- and they're always happy when we return home. She's quick to respond, kind, reasonably priced, and has been (thankfully!) available on short notice. Offering 15-minute visits was super helpful for me as well - both my cats are on meds twice a day, so they need that quick evening feeding/visit when I'm away. Clearly she genuinely cares about her clients and their pets. I've also seen her out and about walking other clients' dogs - paying close attention to their safety while crossing streets. I moved to Portland not knowing anyone, so when it came time for my first out of town trip I was a bit nervous about who I would find to watch my sweet cat, and I'm so grateful that I found Lindy! She's wonderful with my cat, and I can tell that my cat loves her. Lindy is super quick to respond, kind, truly cares about the pets that she watches, and is very reasonably priced. I also really appreciate that she offers 15-minute visits, which makes it much easier to have her stop by twice a day when I'm out of town. She also sends messages and pictures after each visit so I can actually see how my cat is doing; typically she's curled up in Lindy's arms, which is a sign that she's very happy. Lindy has been awesome with our two dogs. They both have very different personalities and absolutely love seeing her every day for their walks and have been much happier since getting a longer time outside with her during the summer too. She's been very helpful and accommodating with requests because one of my pups has had a couple of surgeries and needed extra care. I feel very confident and comfortable having her walk them and also watch them overnight on a couple of occasions, which I had never done before. Besides the great care she provides, the system she uses to send texts, invoices, upload photos, and keep us up to date on where they walked is very convenient and easy to use. I feel so, so fortunate to have found Lindy! Within seconds of meeting my cats, they seemed to sense that they were in the presence of a friendly, trustworthy human. She's kind of a Cat Whisperer; even my very skittish boy-cat was crawling all over her almost immediately. I had been nervous about leaving my kitties with a new person and was put at ease right away. Lindy is super reliable with all the usual stuff--food, litter, etc--but more importantly I can tell she loves my kitties as much as I do. When I'm out of town, she sends me text updates that include adorable cat pictures so I'm never in doubt that they're being well cared for. Her rates are competitive and she's really easy to get in touch with. At this point, the idea of looking for another pet sitter (ever) is laughable. Lindy's a great gal with a kind heart. She was willing to take a look at my location to see if it was doable, even though my zip code wasn't in her initial service area. She stopped by to hang with my high-energy cat while we were away. Love that she took photos of him and sent them to me while I was on vacation. It meant a lot to see my little dude wasn't lonely. Communication before and after the service was great -- easy yet thorough and helpful web questionnaire was great to give her all the information she could need regarding my pet. I attempted to hire Lindy for her dog walking services. Per her site, it states that her business hours start at 9am. On her site, it also states under Services, that she is available outside those hours for an additional fee. I thought that was great and was more than willing to pay that. When emailing her, she was always short with me and would just send a short, non personal response back. When she asked what times my dog would need to be taken out, i told her, she would need to be taken out 3 times a day, starting at around 7:30 or 8am and ending around 8:30 or 9pm. She replied back "My business opens at 9am". That was the entire email. At this point, I realized that she is not a very personal person so I could not trust her with my dog. I replied back to her explaining that I mentioned those times because her own website says that she is available outside her normal hours for an additional fee. I asked why was that option not mentioned to me in the email? She simply said, she is available at that time, but does not promote it. This response tells me that she is willing to put anything on her site to make it seem like she is flexible and is willing to work at those hours, however she in fact, does not want to work outside of those hours so she is misleading people. I did not hire her, nor would I recommend her to anymore. read more
