I did hear some bass from a local club but it wasn't enough to keep us awake after long days about town. Ate at the restaurant for breakfast and lunch and the food was delicious! The shrimp tacos were my favorite. They even brought our lunch to us at the pool. Breakfast was always excellent. Restaurant opens at 8am so if you are an early bird like me you will have to wait awhile for coffee. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

When I walked in after a long trip, I was astounded and mesmerized by the interior. We were very early to check in and the reception treated us so kindly with drinks, comfortable couches to sit, and the restaurant is excellent! I checked out the store within and instead of the usual touristy stuff, there were items from Mexican artists and other countries! Rosie who works there was unbelievably nice ! And friendly! EVERYONE was so nice and friendly and accommodating ! Only thing is, we didn't have much time to enjoy the pools, music there, due to the festival taking up most of our time. This was my first time coming and I would definitely come back again. The room had great air conditioning and was a good size. I had an ocean/pool view with a hot tub on the balcony. The food was good and the cafe deli was my favorite spot. (mocha latte - FIRE) The best part of the entire trip was the staff. They are all very polite and attentive. They will make you feel like family. A special shout out to the pool staff Diana , Luna and Sebastian. They did such a good job creating a fun environment out by the pool. I thought it was so cool that they play a lot of the activities with you. (Volleyball , Ping Pong) They made my trip 10x better. The bar staff Sergio , Guillermo and Ramon were also great!! The bathroom shower NEVER DRAINED so water was EVERYWHERE. the toilet rooms smelled like damp rags and they gave us such a hard time ordering more towels for their wet floors! When walking around the pools people were CONSTANTLY tripping and falling. And all around the pools there was cockroaches, and birds.

There were no cooking utensils, coffee maker, etc. Had to ask the owner for all. Joe(the manager) insisted on keeping the front door open at all times even though it was 55-58 degrees at night! The handle on the front door was so loose it looked like it could hit the floor at any times. A rag was used to keep the door closed. Also, Joe just walked in at anytime without knocking & his cats did the same. Cats in the space all the time. There is no pool. On the positive side, the unit was clean & I met some very interesting people with amazing travel stories. One block from The beach.
