If you have young children, refrain from visiting this office. Earlier this morning as I was in the hall awaiting with my children (three under four) to be seen by a doctor at another clinic, I was approached aggressively and ignorantly by Diane the receptionist at Peace Medical Centre. I was approached by Diane as my seven month old son was "making loud noise" because he has just now found his voice and is vocal. I was completely appalled and explained that he was only seven months old. She turn away and closed the office door. I couldn't believe the ignorance and decided to go into the office to have a conversation with her. She then explained that the doctor at the clinic asked that she come out and tell my children to keep it down. When I asked what she expects from a seven month old baby, she then proceeded to tell me that I should be taking my children elsewhere for a walk. Apparently she's a mother, but seems to be one without understanding and compassion. As other mothers would know, children don't stay and are busy. Hence why I decided to wait in the public waiting area of the building. Diane denied her ignorance and insisted that her behaviour wasn't rude and maintained her professionalism. Shame on this clinic for discriminating against mothers who are simply trying their best. Diane and this doctor should reconsider field of work with such a horrible attitude. read more
