It seems impossible to catch them out because this is all they do. You might be surprised though, to discover what some of the day to day fixings like picture hooks, screws for your shelves, a bolt for your car or bike etc, actually cost. This place may look like a metal pick 'n' mix but the prices are a little more than penny sweets. But if that's what it takes to keep such a valuable resource in trading then that's fine by me.

They are a dealer in second hand…read morecar parts, but unlike your average scrap yard you don't have to make your way through piles of smashed up rotting cars and brave, monosyllabic, testosterone filled scrap men. The service here is great and really friendly. The guy who you normally see behind the counter clearly knows the domestic car market inside out and is happy to answer any questions you might have about how to fit or remove anything you might be buying from him. On the down side though the selection of parts can be a little limited. This is mainly, it seems, to do with the size of the place - without a large yard you can't have a large stock. I've been there twice looking for a new wiper motor for my car and had the same stock response both times, "I've not got one in at the minute but call again on Saturday and there should be one then" . To be fair though, if you need to replace a part and don't want to pay the dealers' extortionate prices then this is the place to come first.

However I did have 1 occassion with a car seat fitter who was very rude and first of all said you needed an appointment, someone overheard and said he didnt have any appointments booked so why not do it now. He reluctantly agreed and then told me that there was no way of getting 3 car seats into the back of any car. I left and went to mothercare who fitted 3 cart seats!! Other than that experience I have always found the staff to be good, though I will not be going back there for the next stage car seats!

It is more of a trade shop for people owning garages etc however they sell a huge range of OEM parts and accessories at reasonable prices. The people behind the desk are extremley helpful and will help you find what you are looking for or suggest a suitable alternative that will do the job. They offer a delivery service for large items as i have seen the vans out and about, although i'm not sure what the cost is. In an easy to find location and parking is very easy. Well worth a visit the next time you need something vehicle related.
