I have googled the top 10 attorneys for Medical Malpractice, Medical Battery, Civil Rights violation, and a few other things. After narrowing my search down, it has come down to less than three that have been able to say they are confident to handle, perhaps one or two of my legal lawsuits , however, not finding one attorney that can do all 4 to 5 of the different representation of Law I need. I am certainly OK with scouting out specific attorneys who only handle specific litigations. German, from Kampf, Schiavone & Associates reach reached out to me, and we had a lengthy conversation about my case at hand. He was very cordial, patient and professional and I appreciated that he took time to listen to my case, to take notes and ask for documents and info to be sent to his email address so that he could present my case to the firm. As I wait to hear from German today, I have been researching and reading the posts and reviews from past clients that have been represented by your firm, as well as area of law your firm practices. I've read nothing but great comments and reviews. I truly feel like I'm on the right path of who I would like to represent me and my voice and I hope your firm will support me and my cause, as I try to navigate a life-changing decision, that will leave me very limited to my mobility and could very easily cause me paralysis of my legs and be wheelchair bound forever. I have all the records you will need to move forward to prove that the assault and medical battery that was done to me at the Huntington Hospital in Pasadena on May 5, 2026, resulted in me having my spine bone broken. I'm facing life changing back surgery. I am a God-fearing woman, and I have been praying for both my spine surgeon my decision on this high risk surgery and in between trying to pass the football to the right Attorney/firm that I know will fight the legal battle for me. If you value the dollar, Do Not hire this attorney. I seldom write reviews, but I feel it's my moral duty to inform others before they experience the same Debacle. I'm also writing this review under the protection of my First Amendment rights, "Freedom of Speech". I've read other reviews for other attorneys who have gone to the extreme of taking legal action against their clients for thier yelp reviews. We came to her for a DVRO that had been filed with no actual proof to enforce it. During our initial consultation I should have recognized the "Red Flags", as she was very clear to let us know that she was in charge! Her first time in court was remote and asked for a continuance, even after we were informed by her office that she was driving and unable to text but that she would be here. She stated that the petitioner had the "Burden of Proof" and that we didn't need to send her any proof we had on our part. The next hearing we were notified late afternoon the day before court that she was sending an "appearance attorney", and expecting us to know what this meant. This other attorney doesn't even work for her law firm. She's an independant attorney currently unemployed. She came to court with just her cell phone. She was not prepared. When the judge asked the petitioner if she had received evidence from the respondent's attorney she said No. If the appearance attorney was prepared she would have told the judge that the petitioner did receieve our declaration and the reason we know this is because the assistant to Crista Haynes told me the petitioner called their office asking for a continuance. When writing to Crista Haynes, upset that she wasn't there to represent us, she had the nerve to tell me she had to pay for this attorney out of her pocket and that we were lucky she didn't charge us. Because she wasn't well prepared, because there was a conflict of personalities, because she didn't want to hear the truth, that she pushed our case to the back burner, she went into court and did not defend our case. She was very unprofessional. She should have told us up front that we should probably retain an attorney that's going to defend us. As soon as Trial ended and the Judge found for the Plaintiff, she goes back to her office and sends us a SOA "Substitution of Attorney" and they have sent us 3 attempts to get us to sign this document so they can close out our case. Instead of signing this document, I sent an email stating how unhappy we were over her unprofessionalism and her lack of effort to win the case. In her mind, it's the respondent's fault. Evidence provided by the petitioner was from June 2023 and prior to a Restraining order! We're in court in August 2025 and no evidence after June 2023 to support the plaintiff's claim. Way to go Crista. I hope my review has done it's job by causing you haste in your decision making process when hiring an attorney. All of these 5 star posts are a little suspect to me of their validity. Read the negative posts and that's closer to reality. They can't all be exaggerating, can they?

He was arrested, but days later he posted bail and was set free. We believed we had an airtight case: over 20 photos showing the injuries, a video of him admitting guilt, and statements from the children confirming the abuse. We thought the truth would prevail without the need for an attorney. We were wrong. Just three days before our family court hearing, he maliciously filed a false CPS report claiming my sister abused the children. CPS showed up without a professional sign language interpreter, despite my sister's deafness, and I had to step in to interpret. The children clearly told CPS they felt unsafe with their father and confirmed the abuse. Even though CPS wrote this in their report, in court his attorney twisted the facts, claimed I manipulated the conversation, and had the report thrown out on a technicality. Within five minutes, the judge shockingly awarded full custody to the abuser, who still had pending felony charges. In the following weeks, CPS reopened the case and we watched helplessly as the children were interrogated under their father's influence. It was the most unjust and painful experience of our lives. She did not represent my interests and instead acted like a mediator, which is not why their office was hired. JC could not even convey to the court which days each party was to have my daughter. She gave inaccurate information which would have reduced my custodial time with my daughter. My mom had to shout NO from the back of the court room and the judge had to stop the proceedings so that JC could get it right. The judge she was visibly frustrated I would not recommend JC, save your money or go elsewhere.

Which is not the case, he said one thing in one conversation and another on the next. I have so much paperwork that needs to be done that was not done on his end.
