Worst attorney I've ever seen in my 30 years as an investigator. I initially requested legal representation regarding a near death - alleged accident. Weathers in-took my case quickly, accepted my dollar demand for damages, but over the next near 3 years, I was only allowed to speak with him briefly personally about 4-5 times, and one of those times was my depo. In those brief conversations, he was always extremely defensive due to my asking him why I had to press him to file my case before the mandated 2-year Statute ran out. It got far worse. Because I lost everything after my near death, there were times I would need to talk to him directly, but it was always diverted to Sheila (who was very nice, overworked, but patient, and likely under-paid). Between Bill's vacations and avoidance of me as a client, he also missed a crucial 2-year window for evidence collection on 911 calls, which was critical to my case. Those records were destroyed before I could get to them. Before each of the few Depos he took, he bragged about being close friends with opposing Attorneys. And during the depos, left out critical questioning that I asked him to get on record. Then, in my first mediation hearing, his inept representation for me warranted his "good ole friend" the mediator to walk into the room, who, without proper introduction, went right into telling me about Bill's and his long years of friendship and how they went down to Mexico and got drunk together, and on and on. Right away, I felt the mediation was a social event instead of a legal preceding. Then, leaving that mediation depressed, the very surveillance investigators in their parked vehicles in the lot, worked for the same company that Bill's firm investigator assigned to my case was still friends with. Bottom line is that I had serious injuries; broken bones, head-trauma, PTSD, and my amount from proven declared damages was forced down to 100k from that 1.9-million I asked for, and there was no shortage of circumstantial evidence to support every bit of it going to a jury trial. But all Weathers did was discourage me from going to trial, "You'll be lucky to get a hundred thousand out of this case. You better take it while you still can." It was if Weathers was representing the other side and not me. Oh yeah, not to discount the importance that he told me ".., we need you to be your own investigator on your case." Given my then head-trauma claim was not allowing me to work, not only Bill's demand to me a clear conflict of interests, but such actions on my part, would guarantee every success for opposing counsel(s) to challenge any and all production of evidence because of my declared injuries. I had to fire Bill by late 2017 and got another attorney, who did the best job he could on salvaging what was left of my Weathers-sabotaged case. Before I fired him, Weathers put me through hell, and did absolutely nothing for me - and I had to patronize him all the way - just to get him to do the contingency job promised, a job he never did but got paid for. I would lay down and die before hiring his firm for anything, every again. Weathers doesn't even deserve 1 Star, but this site forces me to give it to him. read more
