What a waste of my money. JC did a terrible job representing me in a child custody case. She arrived to court late, was unprepared and even lied to my face about a vital piece of the case. She did not represent my interests and instead acted like a mediator, which is not why their office was hired. JC could not even convey to the court which days each party was to have my daughter. She gave inaccurate information which would have reduced my custodial time with my daughter. My mom had to shout NO from the back of the court room and the judge had to stop the proceedings so that JC could get it right. The judge she was visibly frustrated I would not recommend JC, save your money or go elsewhere. read more

I spent $200 for a "1 hr" consult. I was basically told nothing I was saying mattered in my case, and instead of providing guidance or helping me visualize my case being built by this team, I felt mocked and belittled. I asked the receptionist who scheduled the call for me, if I could send my copies of summons during the consultation call, because they close at 5pm and I get off at 4pm and didn't have time to send the papers before. She assured me it would be okay. I rushed home while on the call and around 4:30 I asked Ms Allen if I could send her the papers. She said it was too late, but then continued to say she needed to see the papers before she could answer a specific question I had. I said again I could send it to her right now, since I rushed home for this exact purpose. She said we were already at the 45 minute mark and now was the time to say if I wanted to work with them or not. I was very disaapointed with the call and feel really ripped off. She didn't help me in any way besides telling me I didn't have a chance. She charged me $200 and didn't even review my papers. If it wasn't possible, the recepistionist should have told me to reschedule it. I would have rathered that than waste my money on something I got no value from. She was not kind or helpful, can't imagine hiring her to represent me and think about my best interests in court. I had better consults from a free lawyer and even one that just charged $40. She was rude and pushy too. No thanks. read more

This is the absolute worst law firm I have personally ever dealt with. I would have put negative stars if I was able to. I hired them to represent me for a simple divorce case and they botched the whole thing. Xochitl Garcia, JC Allen, Marla Metro, and Liz Caldera have no business working in law. They are incredibly unprofessional, do not know how to win a case, and charge you for nothing to get accomplished. I put a retainer down of $6000, I had a super easy case and realize now having them represent me was the biggest mistake of my life. They put me down as the respondent and then asked me several times to sign the forms and I had to correspond with them for over 2 weeks to rectify this mistake. But guess what, they still charged me for ALL the correspondences. Even though it was their mistake. Then poor Irmo Lee I know more about your case than my own. They sent me all their information and a Dropbox of all his personal information and pictures of his case. Then when I asked about my case there were crickets. The only reason I had them represent me was because I moved out of state and thought it would be easier to have representation at my hearing. Turns out it would have been cheaper for me to fly out to CA and represent myself. I had a hearing in December 2024 and JC Allen lost to my ex-husband. She didn't have the right documentation and my ex outsmarted her, how embarrassing. So the case dragged on. It should have been done with, papers signed and finished, but somehow she managed to lose. Good news for them and their law firm, they could take more of my retainer. I was taken advantage of. I ended up paying $5500 for nothing. After several months of misinformation, sending me more of other client's personal information, and me trying to figure out what was going on it finally ended in April 2025. It was a simple divorce case, no children, no house, nothing except two vehicles, which had been agreed upon and they couldn't get the job done. Lastly, in the final judgement they forgot to put the VIN numbers for the vehicles. I'm now still dealing with this case, because of their error. I messaged them and JC Allen had the audacity to say for a small retainer she could fix this clerical error. Are you kidding me, the clerical error was ALL your fault you horrible lawyer. You are a fraud. Do not hire this law firm. They are the worst. I don't even know how they passed the state bar. JC Allen at one point told me she didn't even know how my ex was still alive, because she would have shot him for what he did to me. I couldn't even believe what I heard. Did I want a divorce yes, was this appropriate to say, absolutely not. I would take them to small claims court, but instead I'm warning everyone do not use this law firm. You will get taken advantage of, have your personal information shared with other clients, have clerical errors made by them, be given misinformation, and they will lose your case. I'm moving on and won't waste another breathe, but honestly this was one of the worst experiences of my life, on top of an already hard time. read more

Look no further. This law firm is exceptionally proficient! Ana, who is the client care specialist, made sure that she updated me on everything. I never had to call in for the follow ups. They asked for a retainer deposit, but apparently it's actually their entire fee. $12k. That wasn't explained to me (or my uncle, who I was representing) before the deposit. It was told afterwards, when I asked for the remainder of the retainer to be given back, with an itemized list of what was charged. read more

Horrible getting judged right from the start . Paying 350$ for a consultation would think the lawyer would have more control of her body language and facial expressions you're a lawyer, that's an important tool shows a lot about somebody and im supposed to trust you to represent me but you can't even keep your facial expressions to yourself in a consultation that I paid 350 for.Would of hoped there would be more respect there. JC Allen & Anna were very responsive & always brief my family in real time about the misunderstanding of the arrested of my brother. We never have to deal with such arrest in our life & was panicky.
